Making a list of the things you need to do is a great time-saver during the holidays. Not only will it help you save time, but by planning and pacing yourself through the holiday rush you'll be able to maintain healthy eating and exercise habits.
Begin by writing down all that you know you have to do over the next month, and of course you can update your list as you go. Divide the list into must-dos and would-like-to-dos, and be sure the must-dos include whatever in necessary to ensure that you're eating well and keeping up your exercise.
For items with a deadline, and to help spread your activities across the month, you can further break down your list by weeks and days. This will help eliminate late night panics that can lead to overeating, and eating on the run.
On a daily basis, do the must-dos first. Then reward yourself with an item or two from the would-like-to-dos list.
If you tend to find yourself panicking or feeling unprepared through the holidays, make this year a list year. You will find it easier to maintain balance in your life, and to ensure that eating well and exercising don't get passed over in favor of last minute errands.
