Eating Right Is More Effective Than Eating Less

Newsletters

Are you tired of eating less, and still not losing weight? It could be that you are not choosing the "right" foods for weight loss. Eating the right foods has been shown to be more effective than simply eating less.

A team of researchers at Pennsylvania State University found that eating nutrient dense foods, as opposed to calorie dense foods, will both help you shed pounds and control your hunger.

Nutrient dense foods have a high ratio of nutrients to calories. They include foods that are high in water content and low in fat content, such as fruits and vegetables, lean meats, and low fat soups and dairy products.

Selecting these foods in your daily diet will allow you to eat larger portions of food, which may decrease feelings of hunger, while helping you lose weight. The researchers found that their participants who ate a nutrient dense diet ate 25 percent more food by weight, and felt less hungry, while consuming fewer calories.

So if you're tired of eating less every time you try to lose weight, get smart with your food choices and start eating more!
