Most of your day is occupied by food in some way or another. When food delivers a satisfying taste and the nutrition your body needs, you feel satisfied after meals and snacks. But when food is lacking in flavor and nutrition, you are likely to end up eating more. It is not only the volume of food that makes you feel full or satiated.
Listen to your body, too. You'll likely feel more remorse than joy if you eat when you're not really hungry. If it's not meal or snack time, make sure you feel physical hunger before eating. Always eat slowly, and stop when you feel satisfied, not stuffed.
Take time to plan healthy, tasty meals and snacks. Stock up on seasonings, sauces and marinades. You can learn how to use different seasonings by looking through cookbooks.
Finally, take time to eat for enjoyment. Stop desktop dining and eating on the go. Slow down and savor the aromas and tastes of your food. Learn to enjoy all that they have to offer and they will make you feel satiated.
Balancing the taste and nutrition in the foods you choose and taking the time to enjoy them can play a significant role in your reaching your goals to become slim and healthy.
