Look back over 2005 and make a list of all the accomplishments you have made, large and small. If you put a little time into it, you may be surprised how many you can list.
Be sure to note all the dietary changes you have made. Those that have become permanent dietary habits are crucial for your success with weight loss and maintenance, and there will be more.
Also look at the setbacks you've had. Be sure to call them "setbacks" rather than failures, and to find the lesson in each.
Forgive yourself for your mistakes, and reward yourself for your accomplishments. Take pride in the changes you have made, and in knowing that you can do even better in 2006.
