The Activity Search feature is designed to save you time from scrolling through the activity list. For example, it makes it easy to find all of the walking activities.
The Activity Search feature is very simplistic. It searches for a string of up to 25 characters exactly as you enter them, except that it ignores case. It is best described through example:
The above food item will be found searching with any of the following search text:
Searching for "w" is too general and would not be useful as you would find all activities containing the letter "w." However, you have to be careful not to be too specific, either. Searching for "walking for exercise" you would not find the activity because you did not include the " - " in your search. Searching for "walking" would work well.
When you are not sure about a word ending, it is important to leave the ending off. For example, searching for "golfing" will not find activities listed under "golf," but searching for "golf" will find activities listed under both "golf" and "golfing."
Do not be surprised if a few activities show up in your search results that you are not looking for. If you search for "box" for boxing, you will also find "Carrying - boxes"!
