So I've talked to my family and we've decided to get a tredmill instead of me spending money going to the gym (and also because my dad needs it, he's becoming very unhealthy)

But in searching online I get confused. Some say this tredmill isnt good for daily serious runners. While i dont consider myself an extremely serious runner I do hope to be using it daily or at least every other day.

But when i look at them they say they ONLY go up to a speed of 10mph (its written like thats slow for most people) which is 6 minute miles which is NOT what i do. I'm not running that fast. I would be running more of a 6-8 mph pace but for more than a mile. Are these "not for serious runners" tredmills what I would want then? Would it be better to spend a lot more on a "serious runners" tredmill

Looking at it this way in the fall of next year Ill be going away to college where they'll have a gym. This tredmill would get some heavy use until then but after that it'll be my parents who would probably just walk on it.

So which tredmill should i focus on? I'm just not sure if I'm considered a "serious runner" or not.
