I have noticed that about once a week or so, I find myself completely ravenous for food. Usually late night. I am not talking about the typical boredom munchies either; This is a definate physical hunger that my body wants to eat something badly.
A friend told me that if you can make it through those feelings without eating, then thats when you will lose the most weight.
Does this happen to anyone? How do you deal with it?

| I usually eat. Your results may vary.

| If you're talking about stomach growling type hunger, I usually try a dozen or so lightly salted or unsalted peanuts. Seems to stop the growling anyway.

1st, ask yourself when it happens, and what have you had to eat for the day. I am just getting back into tracking all of my food intake so that I know if I get a little hungry (or even ravenous), I can assess where I am at for the daily regarding caloric intake, etc. then decide wisely what is best to fill me up (if needed).
Honestly, if you eat a lot of roughage (salad, etc.) that goes a long way in filling you up. Works for me.

What you may can do is surround yourself with healthy snacks. When the urge hits you eating apples, and grapes are better than cookies and cakes.
