HI,

Right now i am very motivated to become fit and healthy...but i know this motivation never stay long with me.  I am hoping for comrades:tongue: who's closer to my age and weight to share our weightloss journey as well as encourage and motivate each other. I am 21 years old, 5'3 and 167lbs. My goal is to be on healthy range of my BMI. that means i need to lose around 40-50lbs.

Hi Enjoy life, I just wanted to stop by and wish you good luck on your journey. Your stats are close to mine (height and weight wise) but I am quite a bit older. I too am 5'3",  I started my weight loss journey back in Feb 2008 at 184 pounds, by the end of the year I was at 140. I am currently at 133 struggling to get to the 125 range but I know I can do it and I know I have kept that first 40 pounds off for a year. The thing I have found to help me most with my motivation is my buddy sites (thanks Anned and PBF) and the weight loss challenges which I always join. I also find keeping a log of my weight helps me too, it really helps when the motivation gets low to look back and see where you've come from. I am sure you will be successful as long as you take it slow and hopefully find a committed buddy.
