I have schitzophrenia and I'm currently taking anti psychotic medicine.. For some reason every time I enjoy a beer or eat something, it tastes like somebody dipped it in some sort of oily resin that makes it lose taste allmost completely. I've had to excercise an incredibly long time for very limited weight loss. I believe it has something to do with a conspiracy of voices that seem to be very pronounced in my mind. I don't know if they are the voices of other people or not, I just know that everytime they get a little hectic, the food gets worse and worse, usually followed by some response from the voices in real time. Being rational I can relate it to the medicine I'm taking, I just can't shake the feeling that I'm being watched eat. It's as if they know particular times to spoil my mood and a meal through sheer brutality of the mind. Does anybody else share this experience?

No but I think I'm one of those voices you're hearing. I'm the one that's a little high pitched and I enjoy telling you how useless you are. Also the person that keeps dipping your food in oil is the CIA agent that hides in the cupboard.

Erasmus, I'm sorry you're having these troubles.
I seriously doubt that your medication is making your food taste odd. Most of the medications for schizophrenia cause an increase in appetite, so your "oily" taste probably doesn't come from your medication at all.
You also probably know you shouldn't be drinking beer at all with your medication. Neither should you be exercising for long periods of time. You are at risk of heat stroke if you overdo.
You might want to try exercising at a moderate pace for about 30 minutes at a time.
Try eating your meals in front of a pleasant TV show to distract from the feeling of being watched.
Most importantly, remember to tell your doctor that you are still hearing voices. He/she may want to up your dosage a little bit.
Best of luck! You sound like a fine person who is trying hard.

you can't be serious vega... Except it does sound a little conspiratorial related in terms of the CIA and all.. Maybe you meant food corporations and pesky mindless mindicants. I don't know why you would claim to be a voice in my skull, however I wouldn't be suprised anything is possible. I hope you are joking.

I used to be just like you. Before they got me. I had just gotten out of my car, and was walking into the mall. I heard a plane flying in the sky. I looked up at it. Then I saw a small flash come from it. I thought it was just the sun reflecting off it. Then 5 seconds later the bullet hit me. I collapsed, blood was gushing from my mouth everything was going black. DO NOT FALL TO THE SAME FATE I DID. DO NOT DIE LIKE I DID. Next time you hear or see a plane, make sure you get out of its line of sight and stay there.

| Do you ever get the feeling that you're NOT being watched? It's really eerie.
