hi, my gf is always concerned about this, her legs and thighs are perfectly normal, but from waist up she a bit over weight, and she told me that she was able to lose fat from waist down but not from her upper body, is that normal? i don't mind that much, but she's always sad about this and sometimes gets depressed so i would really appreciate some info or help. thanks. |

It is a bit unusual. Women are usually 'pear shape' and find their hips and thighs to be the problematic parts wheras it is normally men who find the abdominals to be the stuborn area. An apple shape is associated with more risk of heart disease Not that knowing this helps - your shape is determined by genetics, the best you can do is stay in a healthy weight range (e.g. use the BMI calculator) |

I'm that way too. I am apple shaped. Or more apple with boobs shaped. I must admit that my legs are quite nice even though I would like to loose weight on them as well. But there's nothing to do. The only way is to loose more weight. I've never seen a person where I though 'wow that's a skinny and fat person in one' being slim is an overall thing and the only way is to loose more weight. |
