It's true what they say... The thing about failing a lot before you finally lose the weight. I feel guilty for making ANOTHER new diary, but I felt the need to start fresh again... Especially since I am now a vegetarian! The main reasons I went vegetarian were: the environment, my health, aesthetics, and to see if I could do it. It's quite ironic since I used to love meat a few years ago. I went vegetarian 3-4 weeks ago, and it really hasn't been too hard. (My friends and mom complained of course...) I think I lost about 2lbs or so from the switch, but I haven't been tracking what I ate. I haven't really been exercising either. Now that it's summer time, I actually have some time to do so. I want to make sure I get the right amount of calories, fat, protein, fiber, etc. with my new vegetarian diet so I decided to track what I eat again. I also really want to start exercising. I bought these short shorts yesterday, and I want to look good in them! |

Today, I basically had a veggie dog, some fruits & veggies, potato cooked with maple syrup, beans, some tofu, and 2 slices of veggie pizza with extra cheese (500+ calories In total, I think I consumed about 1370 calories. For July 3rd: 2 veggie dogs, fruits, tofu, rice, and a sweet red bean bun. I think I had about 1280 calories. That morning, I also weighed in at 114lbs. |

This post is very short, but so far I'm finding that vegetarianism is helping reduce my calorie intake. I think I dropped about 3lbs in the first 3 weeks just by going vegetarian, and I dropped 2 more pounds by keeping a food diary again. |

Breakfast 1 Mini Soymilk carton 1 Veggie dog 1/2 cup of rice Dried Laver Tofu 315 cal. Snack Sharon Persimmon (Gosh, I LOVE this fruit, as you can tell...) 105 cal. I did Punch, Kick, & Jam (Turbo Jam) for 50 mins... I'm surprised I got through the whole workout! I have no idea of how many calories I burned, but I don't think I burned that much. It made me sweaty, but I don't know. Lunch 1/4 cup of rice Dried Laver Omelet with zucchini and mushrooms Canned corn Some bread with strawberry jam Tofu 416 cal. Ahh! My tummy is sticking out a lot. I'm gonna eat and maybe do some pilates. Snack 1 tube of this strange sweet stuff 1 Persimmon 130 cal. Dinner 2 bowls of soy milk with kellog's special k cereal 1 boiled egg white Tofu 388 cal. Total: 1352 cal. I also did exercise today... I think I lost my appetite or something cause I'm not having trouble with too many portions. Weird? And my calves are grossing me out. They're so huge! I haven't been craving food lately. Strange... And I know I haven't been having that much fiber either. I also used my treadmill for about 25 mins. today. Wow, I am so full! My stomach is really bulging. I really had to force myself to have that smoothie cause I was already full. I just needed more calories. For some weird reason, I'm really enjoying eating healthy. I'm not getting any cravings for junk food either, at least at the moment. Over-eating hasn't been a problem at all for the last week or so. Breakfast 1 Hummus veggie wrap 1 Persimmon 10 almonds 371 cal. I'm heading to the treadmill now. I did some jogging/walking for about 11 mins. I think I'll do some pilates now. Okay, I went to a friends house and had some very greasy looking food. I had two of them, and some other stuff, and it probably totals about 900 cal. I also found out that food had bits of seafood in it. Oh well, I'm sure many vegetarians have slip-ups. But I don't feel that good cause of all the grease and the thought of eating meat. Total cal so far: 1271 I don't know how many calories I consumed at her house, so I'm going to go on the treadmill for 25 mins. Then I'm going to have a small snack and go to bed cause I've been lacking sleep. Greasy food = Meaty food = Funny how the food that had meat in it was also very unhealthy... I love the veggie meals I've been having so far. Junk food is just starting to gross me out now. Even ice cream... It's so fattening that it's gross. And chips. I'd still eat yogurty ice cream though. Good good. I'd rather be grossed out by junk food than want to binge on them. I had a banana and did the treadmill. I feel less bad about that food I ate now. Hey Slimwish..................wow! You are doing great! Just wondering if you've been taking a B12 supplement since you started eating vegetarian? It's one nutrient that you can't get from sources other than meat...........from what I've read. Although, your soy milk might be supplemented with it........you could check the label. I take a "Homocystein formula" on the days I don't eat meat. My chiro recommended it, when I told her I've eliminated a lot of the meat from my diet. It's B12, B6 and Folic Acid, if I remember right. |

I feel kinda fat. I don't like how my stomach is hanging over the waistline of my jeans when I sit. My muscles have also been feeling weak for the last few days. I think it's because I experienced a lot of anxiety over this thing a few days ago. The next day I woke up really sore (my muscles probably tensed up), and now they feel weakish. Hopefully I'll get my strength back soon. You know what I don't like about Turbo Jam (going off topic now lol)?... I hate the kicks you have to do. My legs feel very awkward doing them. Left, right, up, down, up, down, left, right.. I hate how Chalene switches the kicking positions so quickly. I've had Turbo Jam for over a year and I still suck at the kicks! The back kicks are the worst. Breakfast Kellogg's with chocolate soy milk 380 cal. Going to do some Turbo Jam now... I did the 20 min. work out, and Turbo Sculpt. I feel stronger now. Sometimes I just do different moves too. Wow, I missed the last two days of food journaling.. I think I had about 1200 calories yesterday. And I lost another lb. Yesterday, I weighed in at 111lbs. Breakfast Cereal with soy milk x 2 360 cal. 25 mins on treadmill. Lunch Black bean burger (home made!) Some apple sauce 372 cal. Ab Jam (20 mins). Snack Black bean patty 5 cherries 185 cal. Wow. I knew it. Using a food journal is the biggest factor in eating right for me. For the past two and a half weeks or so, I haven't been doing that. I got sick for a few days and went down to 109 lbs, but I've been eating badly since I got better. Now I'm up to at least 115lbs. Probably more. I've been eating so many freaking donuts. I haven't been exercising. I've just been rotting away while gaining fat. Must food journal. Must. MUST TURN BACK! Before, I'd reach close to 120lbs until I'd start again... I do not want to go up that high again. Sometimes it's so hard to get back on track. But I've done it before... So hard... MUST DO IT!!! AHHHHH! I feel and look fatter. I want to be healthy. (I'm just rambling to myself here to get myself motivated, ha). Apples... EAT HEALTHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gosh darn it. No more freaking doughnuts. (...) Doughnuts are so tempting. So sweet... Soft... Mhmhmmm... SO FATTENING!!!!!! NO MORE. NOT WORTH IT. ........................ Okay, I browsed around online for motivation... I think I feel motivated again.. First thing's first... I want to be fit and healthy. Not just thin. Nothing tastes as good as being fit and healthy feels! Another thing... I should give up my dream of being a size 0 because that ain't gonna happen unless I starve myself. I realize.. That being a size 5 is decent. (I used to be a size 7). My maximum goal is to be a size 3. Not 0. 3 and 5 are good for me. Another thing... No more flippin' doughnuts! (For this week at least....) Also.. The thing about when I overeat, or binge eat... I am conscious that it doesn't even feel good. It just feels impulsive. Sometimes when I'm over eating the #%@&!, I'm thinking... WHY?! The food I'm pigging out on doesn't even taste that great. I know I'm going to regret it later.. But I just have that thirst for food... The want for that satisfaction that I think I can get from eating and filling up my stomach. This is probably cause I'm so darn dehydrated. Soo.. I need to drink more water. I look okay at 112lbs. Maybe I should stop trying to be like 100lbs. I guess about 110lbs would be ideal... That's how much I weighed when everything was flushed out of my system from being sick. So I guess that's not a goal that is too far away... Since I was content at 112lbs, 110lbs must be just right. I need to freaking exercise. Maybe I should go exercise instead of sitting here typing. No more excuses... I am determined. Wow, I sure am delaying the exercise... ... ... Okay, I'll go run now. So yeah... I went on the treadmill and kept repeating "nothing feels as good as being fit feels" in my head. Breakfast A bowl of bran flakes with soy milk A bowl of half bran flakes, half Special K with soymilk Fruit and Nut trail mix granola bar 441 cal. (Wow, big fiber & protein filled breakfast! 10 g of fiber and 16g protein..) Snack Doughnut 230 cal. Lunch Tortilla wrap with beans, corn, and veggies A few grapes Some boiled cabbage 328 cal. Snack 1 Gala Apple 130 cal. Linner Tortilla wrap with beans, corn, and veggies Carrots with hummus Granola bar 390 cal. I've eating about 1609 calories so far, and 39g of fiber! Wow.. Lots of fiber today. I still feel quite hungry... Maybe I'll go for another little run.. I did some before.. That would put me at about 1400 in. Then I can have about 200 more calories worth of food. Snack Nectarine 63 cal. I did Cardio Party instead. Lunch Tofu Spinach Scramble 182 cal. The scramble was freaking delicious! I was surprised at how good it tasted. It was a mix of tofu, spinach, mushroom, red onion, olive oil, cumin, basil, black pepper, and garlic salt. I devoured it. I must share this... It's 1:43pm so that turned out to be my lunch. I rarely eat anything from the freezer now a days! It feels weird even opening that door now. I'm make more home made meals, and less instant meals. I've been spending more time cooking... Though I am a horrible cook. Dinner Pita with hummus More chili 283 cal. Snack Banana Watermelon A bit of cake 293 cal. Total: 1334 cal. Tomorrow's Plan Breakfast Cereal with soy milk x2 1/2 Banana 361 cal. Lunch Bagel with jam Chai Tea 290 cal. Linner Peanut granola bar Plain yogurt with 1/2 banana 291 cal. Dinner Unknown! Wow.. Bran flakes makes a HUGE difference in my daily fiber intake.. So far that's only 11g of fiber. It would be at 21g if I had those bran flakes. Yesterday's calorie total: 1541 Weigh in this morning: 112lbs Breakfast Special K w/ soy milk 1/2 banana 211 cal. Lunch Bagel with jam Peppermint tea 290 cal. Snack Nutty bar 170 cal. Linner Strawberry snack bites Special K w/ soy milk 290 cal. --Too much processed sugar so far!-- Around 42g of processed sugar I think... Most of the sugar coming from the jam and my snacks. I guess I mischecked the sugar content on the strawberry snack bites before I bought them, and I thought they had 7g of sugar not 10g! I haven't posted here for the last few days, but I've been eating about 1750 calories for the last few days! Instead of 1600 calories.. I've been giving into temptation... BUT, today I weighed in at 110lbs!! Could it be the green tea? I don't know! Breakfast Special K with soy milk Fiber source bar 334 cal. Snack Green tea Yogurt with banana 121 cal. I've been making so many uncompleted entries lately! I went up to 112lbs (maybe more), but today I'm back at 110lbs. But let me tell you... I have been eating BAD! I've kept up with the green tea though.. I wonder if it's taking an effect on me... Breakfast 1 Big peach (like 2 small-med peaches) Veggie dog with ketchup Rice Piece of watermelon 300 cal. Weigh in: 108lbs! I've never been this low. I haven't been posting here much, but I have tracking my eating on TDP. I think I should cut down on cereal! I've been having 4 servings a day with soy milk for the past while.. So delicious... Thanksgiving is coming up.. Hopefully I won't binge. Though I probably will. Thanksgiving ruined my streak last year.. Then I just kept going up till I was back where I started. IT WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN THIS YEAR (hopefully). Pumpkin pie is so yummy... Yumyum.. Ooh, but my choices will be quite limited at the table since there probably won't be that many vegetarian dishes. I'll probably eat a lot of fruit, pie, salad smothered in yummy dressing, rice, and soup. I think. Not too bad. No turkey or gravy or stuffing. I gotta indulge a little bit. I'm gonna try to refuse the ice cream. |

Congratulations on the 108, slimwish! Oh, don't mention pumpkin pie. That's my favorite. It's the crust and the evaporated milk that contain most of the calories. Sometimes I make just the filling using skimmed milk instead, and serve it more like pudding. Add a little fat free Coolwhip and it's almost as good. |
