Hi, i have switched from pepsi to a natural soda that uses natural can sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup. I feel as if though the the type of sugar and not just the 25cals less is what has been making the biggest difference in my weight loss. does anyone know if this is true???

If there is only a 25 calorie difference between them then this 'natural cane sugar' alternative still has lots of calories (remember, a deficit of 3500 calories is required to lose 1lb) and I wouldn't be expecting to see any difference in weight. Are you sure you haven't made any other changes, cutting calories, adding activity etc.?

Maybe you're drinking less of it because it is more expensive? Or because it's possibly less addictive? I'm not sure but I imagine high fructose corn syrup has got to be more addictive than cane sugar.

I doubt the cane sugar has been making much of an impact on your weight.  However, it's probably been making an impact on how you feel-- real sugar is better for your body than high fructose corn syrup-- and a person that feels better is more likely to be active, eat healthier, etc.
