I am new to the forum. I have spent the majority of my adult life obese. My highest weight was 270 pounds and I am 5'5" tall. I have tried every diet there is over the years from Adkins, to SBD, to the grapefruit diet, to Jenny Craig, to Weight Watchers......you get the drift. I have done them ALL. I was very successful on just about every diet I was ever on. My problem has always been maintainance. I would lose 50 to 100 pounds without a whole lot of effort, but it always came back with a vengeance. Typical, huh? Happily I have to say however that I finally got a clue, did my research religiously and embarked on a 'plan to succeed'. I have kept my weight between 148 and 152 for about a year and a half but there is trouble on the horizon. I am falling back into bad habits (not eating breakfast, not drinking enough water, not eating enough protein and fiber, etc.) I have let the old carb monster back in my life and am determined to put a stop to it before it makes me start on that uphill weight gain. I weigh 156 right now, not too bad, I still fit in all my clothes and I don't really look like I have gained any weight, but I know that it is only a matter of time before the scales really start going up uncontrollably if I don't put a stop to it right now. So, I joined your group for support and also joined the FL4I plan as well.
Sorry to be so long winded, but I thought I should tell a bit about why I am here. I look forward to a long and fruitful relationship here. It looks like a really well set up forum.
