Anyone who has had success in weight loss using Dance Dance Revolution, share your story:
For me, I was 5'7" and 185 lbs in 2006, and I wanted to change that. What I did was played DDR everyday for an hour a day, and it brought me nothing but results. It was amazing, the pounds literally melted off in a matter of weeks. I went down to 145 lbs by playing DDR. Currently, I am 5'9" and 152 lbs last I checked, and before that, in the summer earlier this year I weighed about 164 lbs. The reason behind that is because the Holiday Season of 2007 harmed me as far as my weight is concern. When school started back up, I got back on track with DDR and as before, the pounds shed right off. On top of that, I barely changed my already poor eating habits, which involved a lot of junk and fattening foods (rarely soda, however) and it still worked. I lost roughly 1 - 3 lbs per week by doing this. Nonetheless, I do intend on eating healthier in 2009 to bring forth even better results. I know now that this is my best possible way of exercising, and it has helped me stay motivated and concentrated, rather than bored and tired.
Now, I intend on going in the weight range of 130 - 140 lbs and work on maintaining that. Seems ideal for a 5'9" teen such as myself.

Yeah!! DDR is SICK! :)
Congrats. Can you share what kind of diet you have?
But then, DDR in an hour can burn anywhere between 200-500 calories..depends on the songs and skill level :)
I'm in pretty bad shape (not fat, just been laaaazy) and I'm not ready for DDR again. I think I'll be getting back on it in a few weeks after some light exercise.

I've actually just dragged mine out and started using it again. While I don't think Ill be getting in an hour a day I'm going to try to get a lot in. Because its fun and a good work out. Hopefully I'll be able to share results with you in the future!
