My husband got me this DVD because he knows I really like Jillian. I love that DVD. You really end up soaked in sweat after the 27 minutes work out! I've used a lot of exercise tapes in my life, and even 60 minutes ones didn't make me sweat like this!
It's complete with cardio, strenght and abs. Plus she explains really well all the exercises, and instead of being the bully she's on tv, she's more like a big sis trying to help you lose weight.
Anyone else uses it? What's your opinion on the exercises she does?

I've watched the routines, and I got light headed from exhaustion. Jay-Jay's got a unique style in her routine, and I'd eventually like to get to a point to try it for reals some time.. maybe next month, heh

| Then tonight we did Leslie Sansone's 1 mile walk, again from Exercise on Demand. They have a 2 week thing at their website. Again, I'm still hurting...

| I have been using this DVD faithfully since January and lost 10 lbs. I love the feeling of "gargling your heart" as Jillian puts it. My heart rate gets up to 160 thru parts of it. I usually stick to Level 2 but might attempt Level 3 in other week or so. I had a week off for vacation and might need to practise up again. It usually kills my body when I attempt it after being away for awhile.

| I love this DVD also. I throw in good ol' Cindy Crawford too when I want a little longer workout and since I started doing 30 day shred Cindy's exercises are easier for me. Does everyone do 30 day shred every day like Jillian say's to? I take one or two day's off. Also I can't do the full length pushup. I would like to get to that point. Someone told me it's not good for women's bodies to do the full length push up. Any thoughts? LC

hmmm.. not good for the woman's body to do a full pushup? i call shenanigans.
the person that said that probably also followed that up by saying that the best thing for a woman's body is 3 lb pink weights with lots of reps- wouldn't want a woman to bulk up. har har har.

Full length push-ups are up there as one of the most empowering things that a female can achieve. I still remember the first day I was able to do a "boy" pushup as I call them. I left the gym in a high and even today I can envious stares from both males and females when I whip out 20 at a time. It is all about inner strength and whoever said they weren't good for woman's body must by into the concept that woman shouldn't appear strong.
BTW there are few people at my gym doing Jillian's shred book & they look amazing. Her stuff really works so keep it up.

just started the shred.. after the first workout i was feeling good.. the next day i could barely walk or climb stairs.. my front of thighs burn soooo much.. i rubbed icy hot all over and took some motrin and did another workout tonite.. i did extra stretches after and before the workout..
has anyone finished the full 30 days, and do you have to do it everyday like she says to get the awesome results and will this pain go away after i get stronger? any insight would be great..

| I've been doing the 30 Day Shred dvd as part of a group 30 day challenge. We're on day 18 today - I love it because it packs such a great punch for a short time. I'm all about getting in quick but effective workouts! ;) Normally I don't workout 7 days a week without a rest, but wanted to give this a test with some group accountability. I highly recommend it!
