E-mail Notifications of Replies Posted to Topics Your Are Watching
If you are watching a topic, you will receive an e-mail letting you know when someone posts a reply. There are two things you can do to "watch" at topic:
- While you are viewing a topic, click on Watch Topic in the lower left corner of the page.
If you are already watching a topic, clicking on Unwatch Topic will turn off e-mail notifications of replies posted to this topic.
- When you are posting a reply yourself, you can check the box that reads "Notify me by e-mail when replies are posted to this topic" just above Send.
Note that if you go to My Account > Preferences, and check the box that reads "Always notify by e-mail when replies posted to topics you participated in," this box will default to checked and you won't need to check it each time you post in a topic.
Also note that if you do set it to default to checked, you will always have the option of unchecking it when you post in a topic.
E-mail Notifications of Personal Messages (PMs)
Go to My Account > Preferences, and check the box that reads "Notify by e-mail when you receive a private message."
