|FL4I - DIET GUIDELINES
The “Fat Loss For Idiots” (FL4I) Diet can be purchased at Fatloss4idiots.com. When purchasing, you also have the option to download their new diet called “Beyond Calories” (BC) at an additional cost. If “Beyond Calories” is not purchased at the time of purchasing FL4I, you will not have the option to purchase it separately at a later date.
There are three versions of the FL4I Diet:
THE DIET HANDBOOK: This is downloaded when purchasing the FL4I diet, and contains two different diets, which are not the same. Each diet operates on a different premise because each manipulates carbs/proteins very differently. The diets are as follows:
1. THE 10-RULE DIET: This diet is primarily covered in the “diet handbook” which is downloaded at the time of purchase, and allows you to lose weight casually utilizing 10 basic dieting rules:
- how to manipulate calories
- how many meals to eat per day
- how to prepare meals
- how to rotate foods
- sticking with the most basic choices
- knowing when to stop eating
- allowable beverages
- how to burn fat
- exercise recommendations
- foods to avoid
2. THE DIET GENERATOR: This is a calorie shifting (calorie cycling) diet, which allows you to lose weight more rapidly (9 lbs in 11 days) by eating 4 meals per day over an 11-day period. You must eat only until satisfied (for example ½ or ¾ of what you would normally eat). The meals can be eaten in any order, such as eating Meal 3 first, then Meal 4 second. However, you cannot pick/choose foods items from, for example, Meal 1 and combine it with Meal 3.
It is also suggested that meals be eaten at least 2-1/2 hours apart.
After the 11th day, you are allowed a 3-day choice (cheat) period. Now, the term “cheat” doesn’t suggest that you eat an entire pizza, or drink 2 milk shakes with fries, or eat a bucket of chicken. It simply implies that you eat what you want, but choose foods that are within reason and limited quantity. It is also a good idea to maintain the principles of the diet by still eating 4 times/day, drinking all the water quota, eating only until satisfied (never full) and spacing meals at least 2-1/2 hours apart even on the “3-day (cheat) choice days. Remember moderation is the key to success!
Although this diet is not discussed in detail in the “diet handbook”, much of the premise that it is written on is taken from the 10-rules. But remember, you want to either follow the 10-rule diet or the diet generator, but not both!
The diet also comes in a vegetarian version, which is accessible directly from the diet generator.
The diet generator is an online tool that allows you to generate your menu for each cycle. You are given unlimited access to the generator. If you are unhappy with the first menu generated, you can immediately generate a new one before starting the diet, and there is no timeline expiration for use. However, if you generate a menu and begin to follow the diet, it is suggested that you stick with that menu, rather than starting a new diet in mid-cycle.
When generating your menu, you are given 30 food choices. You can pick/choose from 14 to 30 items from the foods that you would like to eat. Once your selection has been made, simply click “Generate Menu”. If you are not happy with the menu this creates, you can click the back button and then click "generate menu" again as many times as you like until you come up with a menu that you are happy with.
Not everyone loses 9 lbs over the 11-day cycle. It appears that the average weight loss ranges around 4-6 lbs, but there have been reported cases where people have actually lost in excess of 9 lbs in 11 days. It all depends on your metabolism, and your ability to adhere strictly to the diet. This means, no food manipulation! You must eat exactly what is on the diet menu.
The diet also provides a list of beverages that you can drink, as well as a specific list of condiments/spices that can be used. However, if the condiment/spice is not on the list, but it contains no calories, it is allowed.
Again, your success on the diet depends on how strictly you adhere to the diet without cheating or manipulating food choices.
BEYOND CALORIES: This diet is the 3rd version of the diet, and can be purchased separately when buying the above-mentioned diet. When purchased, it allows you to download the manual in PDF format.
The premise for this diet is very different. It allows you to lose weight over a 10-day period. It requires that you eat 6 meals/day, at least 2 hours apart.
Unlike the “diet generator”, the PDF manual provides a list of 4 food groups that you can pick/choose your meals from. However, the diet already predefines how many items can be eaten from each food group for each meal.
As with the “diet generator” there are rules that must be adhered to. You cannot mix/match/combine food group items from one meal into another. The condiments are much more restrictive, but if you are a coffee drinker, this diet allows for coffee creamer unlike the “diet generator”. Though you get to eat 6 times a day, the rule is that you should only eat about half of what you would normally crave at each of the meals as you are eating more often than your normal 3 meals a day.
The diet is based on 5 dieting principles to allow pounds to dissolve rapidly.
The diet principles are:
- eating high satiety foods
- foods that control glucose output
- unique food combining
- eat more often
- menu simplicity (no cooking if preferred)
