I just lost 2 lb on my trip to visit my elder daughter's family so I'm not doing very well at my goal to keep from losing too fast. And it's showing in my face.
It's so easy for me to eat way too much junk food when I'm not eating well, but so hard for me to eat enough healthy food when I'm eating healthy.
It would be easy to simply eat a lot more fattening foods, but my goal is to improve my cholesterol as much as my weight. So I can only do that with more nuts and such.
I also tend to get to breakfast so late that it becomes lunch just before the gym, so for the most part I'm eating two meals a day and snacks. I need to work on making it three.
New Year, New YOU! Challenge - Jan/Feb 2008:

Spring Fling Weight Loss Challenge - Mar/Apr 2008:

I was also a member of challenges in the fall, but my weight went back up over the holidays. Still, I'm sure the challenges helped to keep it from being worse!
My percentage body fat has dropped from 24 to 17.

Gez Peter, thought you were writing about me for a minute. lol, so many similarities.
I always eat two meals and snacks (you know me being the queen of snacks and all). And its also easier for me to eat fatty foods then healthy ones.
It seems to be a vicious cycle, always trying to improve ourselves.

Sorry this is so late - or perhaps you could see it as early for the next posting! Been up to my eye balls with visits lately and can't seem to hold down neither the small details nor calorie counting! Oh well, not too bad considering that I haven't been able to maintain any sort of routine for the past couple of months.
Down to 141 lbs.

Hi cportwine
I can't imagine still having snow! I am so relieved our weather has started to warm up. And I am happy I didn't really gain this winter.
I am ready to get back on the horse and am cleaning up my diet and starting to exercise reguarly again.
I guess I just needed to hit the skids first. Now I plan to pull myself up, dust myself off, and get moving!!

I know, but it is getting nicer out now. I been able to get out and walk during the day. It's great having some extra time in the evenings now with having the walking out of the way.
It's hard staying on track when your so busy. We have my daughters graduation coming up and we have been just swamped, trying to get stuff done. It's hard to worry about what your going to eat or when your going to exercise with everything going on.
Anyway, just got my power back on (don't ask, lol, long story). So off to the treadmill.
Good luck at buckling down on the diet.

Hi everyone,
Please don't forget we have one more weigh in for the spring fling challenge before we start Peter's on May 5th. Essentially, your weight for the end will be your weight for the beginning of the other. Please post your weight here too and I'll finish up the chart.
Thanks,
Bert

Congrats challenge members!
We've lost over 200 pounds together so far, with our final weigh-in this Monday, May 5, or whatever day you do it each week. Bert will be posting the final results sometime next week.
Be sure to keep the momentum going by signing up for the next challenge, Peter's Weight Lost Challenge!
Keep up the good work!

Please post any corrections or updates!

My final weigh-in for this challenge: 126 lbs
That's 2 pounds down since my last weigh in, so I'm psyched! I'm only 6 pounds away from my goal weight now, which I hope to finish off losing in Peter's next challenge! Goodluck everyone

Great News Kalypso! Congrats!
I am just hoping mine doesn't go up. I hope to be under 127lbs tomorrow. Wish me luck, cause I will need it. I still have to get through today.
I'm looking forward to the new challenge. It will be at a crucial time for me. Having to get through my daughters graduation and birthdays, without pigging out.

My final weigh-in + 3 lbs. I wasn't in the right frame of mind to actively try to lose weight. Congrats to everyone who lost weight.

I'm listing my final weight as 171. I'm actually off that today and will be tomorrow, but I average. So I'll use that for the end of this challenge and the starting of the next.

Hello
My final weight for this challenge is 122 ! I didn't lose much - I hit some sort of wall and cannot seem to lose another pound. I feel like I do really well - the weekends seem to be where I mess up the most but even then I am constantly mindful and allow more treats then but still no change. I think I probably need to up my cardio - I've been doing at least 4 days of cardio and then the other 2 days are weights but only 1/2 hour to 45 minutes. At any rate, if there's another challenge please let me know.

I am not sure if I should lament the fact that I only lost 3.8 pounds for this challenge (in two whole months) or praise myself that I maintained a steady weight without putting a lot of effort into it?
My final weight is 166.4, my goal weight is 160.
On to the next challenge, and a more realistic goal!

How exciting to see everyone do so well! Congratulations!! Good Job!
Current weight: 151
Even though I lost .5 this week, I still weigh 1 pound more than when we started the Spring Fling Challenge. However, I still join in celebration of each others success!
It was a struggle for me this time but that is how losing the weight is for me. It has taken me two years to lost 10 pounds. But no matter how long it takes me to lose, I still consider myself...a real LOSER! LOL!

That is a 12 pound loss for the Spring Fling. Thanks to all those involved in hosting this and all the participants that helped spur me on to success.

Hello everyone :) Holding at 125.2lb after a rather stressful week of deadlines, sleepless nights, mental crashes and worst of all failing to keep Boris Johnson out as Mayor. Pretty impressed considering food was again awful. But now the pressure is off we managed to find the time to go to Sainsbury's and stock up so now our food is healthier and more regular.
Well done everyone!

My final weight is 141 lbs
Suppose I mustn't complain because during this challenge I've been to England, had an operation, been visiting family and then afterwards, I had family visit me. Exercise and calorie counting have not been uppermost in my mind. I guess I should be happy that I lost even one pound!
Please count me in for the next challenge - I still want to get down to 135 lbs.

back from cruise and if it isn't too late I want to say I am back to 176 which is ok I didn't really gain and I had planned to gain what I had lost ....so I am even... for next year I want to lose ....50 lbs by next May 2009. (no not to gain it back on the next cruise)
For the new challenge I hope to lose 16 lbs by the end of June.....176-160=15 I am motivated!

Hi just got back from a few days leave which is how I came to miss the weigh in on Monday. Luckily my weight has stayed the same (normally I can put weight on when I'm away on a lazy holiday) Anyway my final weigh in is 165.5 lbs. At least is a loss. Now to join the next challenge.
