Hi, Does anybody workout to Cathe tapes? She is an advanced exerciser and weight lifter. She does now offer some beginner/intermediate step tapes. Most of her workouts are step related.:) Just thought I would start a thread on this topic.
I have been working out with her for about 2.5 years now and don't do alot of anybody else. I still struggle with my weight but I exercise everyday but Sunday and I know that I am healthier because of it.:D
Have a great day!! :):D

I've never heard of Cathe, but I'm not very good with exersize tapes- I'm a devoted gym goer. Every time I try to work out at home, I get sidetracked, but if I have a place to go at a set time, I hold myself accountable and actually get there. It was the same thing with homework when I was still in college- I had to go to the library or nothing got done.
What about her tapes do you like, though, Calico?

Hi, she is challenging and motivating and can give you a gym style workout in the comfort of your own home. The fact that she is advanced is also nice, and she is also 40 years old and looks fantastic. You can check her out at cathe.com if you want to learn more.
Thanks for replying.

I JUST got Cathe Friedrich's Muscle Max last week (it's one of her weight lifting DVDs). I love it! I alternate between going to the gym & working out at home. I was getting a little bored using my video collection & wanted more of a challenge. Cathe definitely provided that! I also bought a barbell set & heavier dumbbells as she uses in the DVD. I'm looking forward to tomorrow's workout with all my new weights. I hope I'm not way sore on Wed.!

I've been watching the Cathe workouts on FiTV and I really like it. In fact I TiVo'd one of the workouts.
but it's been a little while since I've done step and I was wondering if she had more of a basic one.
I checked out her website, but man she had a million tapes. Is step aerobics really a good workout?

Yes, Cathe now offers some beginner/intermediate step tapes and yes it is a great workout. Low Impact Step + Total Body Sculpting DVD, Basic Step + Body Fusion DVD,and High Step Circuit DVD are all her beginner/intermediate workouts. One has a weight workout with it.
She is very good and thorough and easy to follow.
Give her a try at cathe.com

Pretty good, if you use some weights to increase the upper body workout.
Most men (me included) are fairly clumsy at first, but even I got enough of the hang to enjoy it.
That was a number of years ago, but I still remember with fondness that line of leotard-clad, sllghtly perspiring ladies immediately in front of mine...
Ah, nostalgia isn't what it used to be.
