For some reason I've been having trouble posting in the forums. When I click on 'reply' the screen opens correctly but there is no cursor, and I can't write anything down. This is the first time I've been able to post in a while and it has been an on off thing since I've joined.

I decided to post here for the same reason. I only have trouble with Firefox it seems. Every so often, I can't post and things don't seem to be loading right. It seems like part of the code isn't loading properly?

document.getElementById("initial_message").innerHTML + ''); editor.contentWindow.document.close(); editor.contentWindow.document.addEventListener("keypress", hot_keys, false); editor.contentWindow.document.addEventListener("keyup", save_cursor_pos, false); editor.contentWindow.document.addEventListener("mouseup", save_cursor_pos, false); editor.contentWindow.focus(); }

That shows up under the text box when I can't post.

Help>About will tell you what version of Firefox is currently installed. What is it? (and if not the latest, would you consider upgrading?)

I updated Firefox and tried to post but it wouldn't work. So then I did a full on software update and now I can post. Whether that was due to an update or not, only time will tell but thanks for the advice!

I get that all the time with firefox.  I don't know what causes it, but it seems to fluctuate on a daily basis, whether I have the latest firefox up dates or not (or the latest firefox version).  It's very frustrating.

Ditto here.....this happens just sometimes....nevertheless I like Firefox because it gives me color and other options whereas other browsers don't ......:dizzy:

Internet Explorer 9 lets me use color and different fonts, but I had to click the buttton by the address bar that looks like a broken page. (It fixes old web page functions)

I've just been switching back and forth between the web browsers.  Also firefox doesn't let me copy and paste on some websites.  And I don't like the bookmark list...Now I'm trying to remember what I do like about firefox...  LOL.

As Nir once pointed it out, it's a good idea to have more than one web browser.  If one crashes, then you can still use a different one.

i have the exact same problem.  i end up re-downloading firefox and it seems to be fixing things (10.0 for the 4th time last night, total).  so...  annoying...

sassy-  firefox is a lot safer and tends to be faster than explorer. and i like it because it's a non-profit deal (it seems less evil).

Well I can definitely support less evil in this world.  It's plentiful enough as it is!

I have been using firefox lately (until it messes up again)  I haven't been able to sign in with IE anyway.  I never got it fixed completely.  I don't know what the deal is.

I hate computer problems.  They are probably way up there with the most frustrating things to deal with in life!  Now do you have any advice for a monitor that flickers and the color flickers on and off?

If I were brave enough I would take it apart and look for a loose connection, but being low on funds I'm afraid I would totally disable it and then, God forbid, be without my desktop.

Is anyone else having problems with firefox recently being bombarded with pop up windows selling stuff?

I've tried deleting cookies...uninstalling and reinstalling firefox...can't seem to get them to stop!

Thank you so much Nir!  I'm going to try that out.  I spent a good deal of time today trying to get rid of the problem (including another episode of uninstall and reinstall, and checking the security and settings - blah)

I appreciate the help!

I'm glad I saw this thread! I couldn't figure out for the longest time why I was unable to post! While I did my updates for the most part with firefox it's still not working for me, but at the same time I'm not the most computer literate person lol. I'll make my husband fix it when he comes home xD So in the mean time I'll use internet explorer for my posting
