Not that I have much faith in the FDA, but still... if you're considering using a diet pill you might check this out first:

Better yet, read the Tutorial on this website... link above!

FDA warns of 41 more tainted weight-loss pills
style="FONT-WEIGHT: normal; FONT-SIZE: 13px; COLOR: #000000; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana"The FDA is expanding an alert issued last month to include 41 more dietary pills that illegally contain harmful ingredients or prescription drugs that can cause side effects such as heart attack or stroke. Included in the list are weight-loss products sibutramine, rimonabant and phenytoin. USA TODAY (1/7)

The Food and Drug Administration is adding an additional 41 products to an alert about tainted diet pills issued late last month, bringing the total to 69, officials said Wednesday.
The pills, using undeclared drugs that may put health at risk, include:
•Sibutramine, the active ingredient in the FDA-approved weight-loss drug Meridia. It's a controlled substance that can cause seizures, heart attack or stroke.
•Rimonabant, the active ingredient in Acomplia, a diet pill that failed to win FDA approval and has been withdrawn in Europe.
•Phenytoin, an anti-seizure medication, and phenolphthalein, a suspected carcinogen.
Some of the new additions to the FDA alert, to be posted by Thursday morning, also contain the diuretic bumetamide,

Is this also the same study that included Slim Fast? If so, what's in it that is bad for you?
I have done Slim-Fast before, both the meal-replacement drink and the bars and had some success with weight loss.

The FDA is becoming a joke when it comes to unsafe pills. It's all about money I guess. They approve alot of #%@&! pills these days. They claim they approved only Alli but they won't do anything about other dangerous pills out there. Is their a pay off?? I have a blog about pills. I feel the FDA was great but losing my trust.
EDIT: SORRY SHANNON YOU MAY NOT LINK TO YOUR BLOG AS IT CONTAINS MONEY-MAKING AFFILIATE LINKS

The diet pills aren't inherently the problem, its the greedy companies that are haphazardly producing them. Always check out the companies who make the pills to make sure they are putting their customers first instead of their ridiculous paychecks
