You are looking at this the wrong way, too much on the negative.
Positive points.
Have you thought about this: You didn't just loose 16 lbs in 30 days you lost 1.9 lbs on ave each day. What other program can you loose over 1 lb a day and stay healthy. Just think what the next 10 (9) days can bring. Now was the cravings worth that? Can you stand the cravings for 9 or 10 days more?
Then until your next time to take hcg you can research what you can do about the cravings. I know for me I made several mistakes (not cheating) just because I didn't fully understand or forgot some facts of the process, even though I read everthing. So for me this was a learning round as well as a profitable round. You lost more than I did.
You said, if I remember correctly, that you didn't load correctly. You probably made other mistakes, which with study and research you won't make next time. Did you walk every day for about 30 mins? Did you drink enough water? Re-read and look for places you can improve next time. Read the process that you have to follow for the next 6 weeks.
So was this profitable for you????
I've been checking into something called Miracle Noodles that sounds like it would be ok to take on this program. Just google "Miracle Noodles" to find the website. They sound like they would help with feeling hungry and possibly cravings.
How much more do you have to lose? After the 40, 45 days of your first round take the total lost and figure out how many more rounds you will have to do to reach your goal. But I bet you could lose more the next time around than you did this time. I figure if I still to it during during the last 3 weeks of the 6 week break I sure be able to lose a few more pounds before my next round just by following the procedure. Search this forum and others for recipes that you can use for this programs. I've done that and it's helping. This is getting too windy, so I will quit and wish you the best.
Just remember you are doing better than you think. Just thing where you could be 6 months from now if you stay with it.

Katiepen, What I mean buy it doesnt work for me is I'm hungry! How can someone stay on a diet where they feel like their starving to death? If this Hcg is really feeding my body 2500 calories then I wouldnt be this hungry. Sure I've lost some weight, but I can lose weight with other diets too, and not be this hungry. I've learned that in recent study's now they are saying that a 800 calorie diet is safe and ok. They have also learned recently that even fasting the body is healthy. So if I were to be on a diet of 800 calories for a short period of time, I'm sure it would be ok. But not that thats what I plan on doing anyways, I was just using it as an example. Also I havent given up completely on this Hcg diet. I mentioned that I need to find some from somewhere else cause this batch I've been using I believe isnt any good. I mean EVERYONE is saying their not hungry at all after the first week. Some cant even stand to eat. Obviously I've got a bad batch, cause not only do I have extreme cravings, but I'm hungry too. These cravings I have are worse, much stronger than when I'm NOT using Hcg. Maybe this stuff just doesnt work the same for me as other people.
I'm still going to use up the last of my shots. And I'm doing an Apple day today to hopefully make up for the cheating yesterday. But what I was saying is if next time around I dont find any that works for the appetite then I wont be doing the diet again. I've got to find the kind Cynda got!!!

| Also Darlene I think that I remember you saying when you started that you didn't do any of phase 1. These things can really help with the cravings. During your break I would encourage you to revisit phase 1 and do some of the cleanses until you are ready for another round. I did a lot of phase 1 before I started, one of the most important parts I think was the candida clease, candida causes a lot of cravings especially for sugar which it sounds like what you are struggling with. You have a good start to build on, don't throw it all away when you are so close to achieving your goals.

Thanks Tinkerbell, I understand what your saying. But how do you come up with 1.9 pounds a day on average??? ha ha ha ha ha 16 pounds in 30 days is about Half a pound each day. : )......But I understand what your saying because even half a pound a day is good! Its not that, I'm not complaining about this diet not taking off the weight fast enough. Not at all! I was saying its the hunger! And the cravings that I have to struggle with everyday. Its so hard, and it puts me in a bad mood for my kids, and the Hcg makes me feel tired and depressed. I dont want to do anything cause I dont have the energy.
When ever I would take a walk I wouldnt lose any weight the next day. So I stopped. And all the days where I took my kids to the park or shopping I'd be like, "cool! I bet I'll lose a good amount tomorrow cause I'm moving around so much". But it would be nothing the next morning.
No this was not profitable for me. I Paid $800.00 to lose 16 or so pounds. So I dont find that to be profitable.
At this very moment, I have 45 more pounds to lose to be at my goal weight.
You wrote""I figure if I still to it during during the last 3 weeks of the 6 week break I sure be able to lose a few more pounds before my next round just by following the procedure. Search this forum and others for recipes that you can use for this programs. I've done that and it's helping.""
I'm not sure I understand what your saying right there?? : )
Thanks for your encouragement Tink. I am going to finish my injections for that last five or so pounds. After that I will probably do it again with Hcg from somewhere else. But if I cant find any that work for appetite better, then I probably wont be doing the diet again. Thats basically what I was previously saying.
I have eight more injections till I hit 40. I saw that you said you could do 45 days is that right? I thought a person gets immune to it after 40 days. Well I wonder if I could skip a day of injections a few days a week to make it stretch out longer so I dont get immune to it? And can lose more weight by staying on the diet longer. Does that work? Like I could still only be using a total of 45 injections but stretch it out to fifty or more days by skipping an injection here and there. That would give me an extra ten days ontop of the eight I have right now. I dont know. I'd just like to get all I can out of this before quiting, and some how make up for the cheating days a little. And I have a lot more Hcg thats just going to get wasted if I dont use it. It was my husbands when he was doing the diet, but he had to quit the diet early cause he got bleeding Ulsers.

Darlene,
I just replied to you, but lost everything and don't have time to do it again so here's a short version. I'm trying to get ready to leave for 3 wks and try to do too much. Sorry about the math, transposed the number trying to hurry.
Just want to encourage. You show determination by finishing this round. If you do another just look at things you did incorrect this time and make correction. I know I did and plan on making sure I do better in those areas. I don't plan on cheating Ha, have a back up plan if it happens. To cheat with more protein & vegies not with sugar and starches which can cause cravings and hunger.
I wish you the best and will check in to see how you are doing when I get back.

Darlene and Tink...I have been reading everything and am glad to know you people are going through this! I just picked up my injections and will wait to start due to a family vacation in San Fran for labor day weekend. Would you guys agree? When i have my "Gorge" days I want to eat what I want rather than what my family wants to eat! :)

Hi Alli bo balli
I would start my injections so that my gorge days are on my last days in San Francisco. They have absolutely the best restaurants and that way you can feel good about eating instead of guilty. That's actually where I had my gorge days the first time that I did this protocol and it worked out well. Good Luck!
Darlene
Way to hang in there. Just be sure to do your 3 weeks of phase3 without cheating, that's the most important part so that you can keep off what you've lost. I understand how you feel, it's frustrating when you want to lose more. I took Sunday off and ate out, I ate really healthy but I still gained 2 pounds and I'm still not at the weight that I was on Sun. before eating out. Pretty much this whole week will be lost. This diet just does not allow cheating, you don't get away with anything. I knew that but life just happened on Sun and now I have to pay the price. Hopefully your next round won't be so difficult and you'll be able to not cheat and get faster results. Just don't do what I did after the first time and end up gaining back what you lost because I burnt out and didn't do phase 3..

Thanks Katiepen,
My only problem mostly has been sweets. The cravings are unbelievable. I thought phase three was for 6 weeks??? Can we only do 3? There is no way I can go 6 more weeks with out any sugar. Its just impossible. So I know now that I wont be able to follow phase three to a T. I'll follow it to my best ability though.
I havent gained any weight from my cheat day. When ever I cheat I see a no loss/ no gain on the scale the next morning. But then the next morning after that is when I see the gain. Well this time I did an apple day the day after my cheat day, which was yesterday. And this morning showed no gain. I was the same weight. So I think I might have overcome that gain. But it still sucks to have to stay at the same weight for two/three days, so I'm still paying for my cheat day. Just not as much though.
Also during my Apple day I was strangely only able to eat two apples. I know that probably defeats the purpose, and maybe apple day only works if you eat all six apples. I dont know. But I had remembered something I had gotten from my Doctor a while back. Its liquid cromium. Which helps sugar cravings. I kept putting drops under my tongue yesterday. Maybe thats why I could only eat two apples. I didnt have cravings for sweets yesterday! So maybe I have found a solution to my problem. Time will tell, I'll use it today and see how it goes. But I thought I'd pass this on in case other people are having problems with sugar cravings.

Hi Darlene
I believe that it says on the apple day to just eat as many as you need just not more then 6 so it sounds like you did it perfectly. And you only have to do phase 3 for 3 weeks so maybe those drops can get you through. Good Luck!

Hi Alli
It's possible but everybody's body is different. Women lose slower then men and our periods get in the way too. I lost 30 pounds the first time but that was on the 40 day protocol. You'll probably need to do 40 days if you want to lose 30 pounds in the first round. But just take it from the beginning and see what your body does.

Alright well this Hcg is working even less than it was before. I'm hungrier and hungrier every day and not losing anything. I cheated again today!! I'm sorry but Im truly hungry, and sugar cravings are just not controlable. I thought the Chromium worked. But I think the only reason why I wasnt that hungry on the apple day is because I had pigged out the day before! I think I'm immune to the Hcg now. Earlier than most I know. But If it never really worked that great in the first place, I can see how I'd become immune sooner then most people. I'm interested to know if it did anything at all. If the whole batch was bad, then maybe I can start over with new Hcg from somewhere else.
So my question is who out there can tell me where to buy the cheapest with the fastest delivery?
Thanks,
Darlene5

Hi Alli
I'm doing great now. I was losing my resolve a little and wanting to be done and then I lost 1 whole week because I ate outside the diet for 1 day. It's amazing, I only ate a moderate amount of healthy foods but I gained 2 pounds, it then took 3 days before I started losing again and it took me 3 more days to take the 2 pounds off. This diet is just so specific, you can't cheat or it costs you big time.
But now I've gotten my second wind, I'm so glad that I didn't give up. I only have 8 more pounds to go before I reach my goal weight. I'm so excited. I'm on my period right now so I probably won't lose for a couple more days but then it should only be hopefully no more then 2 more weeks and I will be done with the last diet that I will ever have to do. It's an incredible feeling. I will complete phase 3 perfectly and then live in phase 4. I will weigh myself everyday for the rest of my life and whenever I gain more then 2 pounds then I will do a "steak" day. I will never be fat again! It only took me 40 years to finally find a solution but I will happily take it! How are you doing?

Wow where did everyone go? Everyone probably got tired of listening to me complain.
Well good news, I figured it out! This whole time I've been thinking that I just got a bad batch of Hcg. Well about five days ago, with the same size small needles I began giving the injections into my thighs. There are somewhat safe locations on the thigh where you can get to the Muscle with the short needles. Now normally the rule is to lower the dose of Hcg if injecting into the muscle. But I stayed at my 250IU anyways. And guess what? HUGE DIFFERENCE!! I now feel the energy, I finally feel the decreased appetite, and no more sugar cravings, (or at least not nearly as bad). And I'm loseing weight again. I can not beleive I lost 16 pounds in 30 days when this Hcg wasnt even working!! No wonder I was craving like mad! I can now see how it's pretty easy to stay on the diet. And I lost over a pound this morning 1.2 thats a first! To bad I didnt start doing this way earlier. I didnt start till about day 35 of this 45 day limit diet and it was after a cheat day. But maybe I can go way past the 45 day rule, because perhaps most those previous stomach injections didnt even really count. I think most of it just sat in the fat of my stomach and didnt move into my system. I obviously wasnt getting enough. That would explain the constant itchy stomach too. But this must be the case for me. They say never more than 200 in the muscle, but in my case Im taking 250 and it's working great. In a way I'm glad it happened this way, because I might get to stay on the diet longer, and there for lose more weight.

That's wonderful news Darlene! I would say to just keep doing the injections as long as it is working until immunity hits. You'll know when that is, you'll have uncontrollable hunger and you will stop losing weight. You might want to start skiping 1 shot a week, that helps delay immunity. Then take your 6 week break.
I'm so glad that you've found a solution. That just helps to show my suspicion that when people are still hungry after the first week that they are not getting a high enough dose. Way to go! Your perseverence is inspiring, you've had a rough time but you've just kept going, that's the way to succeed!

Katie, your so nice! : ) Thank you very much. I can say the same for you you know?! You have come a long way, I cant believe only eight more pounds to go for you! Thats got to be so exciting, and you have enough days left in your diet to for sure acheive that. I'm very happy for you. Are you as excited about buying new clothes as I am? ha ha ha. I can finally wear something other than jeans and T-shirts. : )

Thanks Darlene
I don't need to buy new clothes, I'm just excited about being able to wear the ones in my closet that have just sat there unable to fit. It's like going shopping in my own closet, that's very exciting. But mostly I'm excited about having a plan for the rest of my life so that I never have to go back to the yo yo dieting roller coaster that I've been on since I did my first diet at 12. And not only that but the ways that I have changed in the way I view food (or what is mostly out there that I don't even view as food anymore). These changes can only bring me not only peace with food but the vibrant health that I have been seeking in the last few years. It's a wonderful feeling!
And as of today I have 6 more pounds to lose. For the first time on this protocol I actually lost weight while I was on my period. Crazy, but this round started so slow I was going crazy but now it seems to have taken off and I am so relieved, I almost quit last week from frustration, I'm so glad that I hung in there.
Keep up the good work, I think that we've both proved that perseverance will get you everywhere!

I started on the HCG program yesterday. It is my second day of my "load/gorge" days. I am not super hungry, so I am not really eating too much. My daughter is advising me to eat more, but I am just not super hungry.... Will this be a problem? I am 215 pounds and have a goal of 130, so I do have plenty of stored fat on my body right now.
Also, second injection today, I pulled back on the plunger to see if I had blood, and thought I didn't see any... removed needle and about the size of a quarter or a bit bigger of blood came out from the injection site.
Then, I looked at the syringe and noticed blood inside. My Dr. advised me to reinsert if I get blood in the syringe, but I didn't notice it until after I injected the HCG. What are the issues with injecting into the vein?
I am looking forward to tomorrow and eating all the right foods! =)
I have been trying to lose weight for over 5 years (not much success...10 pounds here and there but always gained back) I gained weight very rapidly 5 years ago. Never had to worry about weight issues before that. I had thyroid cancer and had to have a complete removal and also had a complete hysterectomy. So, I know my body has been going though some changes and weight gain has been one as well.
I am really going to give this my all!
One last question.....My Dr. said no lotions, no face make-up but Bare Minerals, no eye cream, blush, moisurizers, etc... Also, I have long hair and she said no conditioner on the scalp, only on the ends and to make sure I don't rinse it off down my back, to hold it forward off of me.
What body soap and face soap can I use? Also what about deodorant?
I was a bit tense during the office visit and concentrating on the self injections, I forgot to ask some questions.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! =)

Hi Holly, glad to have you join us! : )
As far as gorging, I didnt feel very hungry either on my gorge days. So I did three gorge days instead of two. I dont know if this helped though. But they do say that its VERY important to really gorge good. If you dont gorge enough you might be pretty hungry for the first few days, or even the first week of the diet. So the gorging keeps you from feeling hungry when starting the diet.
I have never pulled the plunger back to check for blood, so I dont know much about that. I still dont understand the whole blood clot possiblity. Why dont people get blood clots when nurses take their blood at the hospital?, and drug addicts who inject themselves in just about any location on their body's, numerous times a day when their not even in their right minds, why dont they ever get blood clots? So I guess Im not the best person to answere that question for you. But do you have any of the blood clot symptoms ?
Well for me I cant find an organic deodorant that actually works good enough for me, so I use a normal kind, and I havent noticed it interfereing with my weight loss. I use Organic shampoo, and conditioner, and soap. And it works just fine for me. However dont get an organic soap or shampoo etc.. that has olive oil, coconut oil, or any other kind of fatty oil in it. We have to stay away from any fatty oils. But like lavendar oil, and flower oils etc... are ok. The protocol is very clear about Blush being ok. I dont know why your doctor said that. The protocol says you can use Blush, lipstick, eyebrow pencil (which I use for eyeliner) foundation powder. (not the liquid though) and eye shadow. I've been useing these and have had no problems. Although I only put make up on like once a week, as I'm a stay at home mom. Some people might have different opinions. Like your doctor., So for the stuff you just cant live with out, I'd test them out and see for your self what works for you.
Hope this helps a little, good luck!

Katiepen, can I stay on this diet while I'm sick? I've got a very dry and soar throat, a runny, and stuffed up nose, and achey all over. Do you think I should stop the injections?
Thanks,

Thank you Darlene for responding
I am not sure about the blood clot issues either. I too thought about the drug users who just stick themselves everywhere. I don't have any symptoms, but I will be more careful. I have been trying to gorge all day and not having much luck. lol Maybe it is psychological because I KNOW I can have ANYTHING I want. But nothing sounds good. Tomorrow when I start the 500 calories, I will probably crave everything. lol
My daughter was with me and she was the one who told me my Dr. said, "No Blush". I can't be 100% sure if that was what my Dr. said, because everything became a little fuzzy when I realized that I had to give myself the injections! All I seemed to concentrate on after that was the needle.
I am going to pick up the book tomorrow. All this happened really fast. I went to my Dr. (a first time visit) for a thyroid check up. I heard she was really the best and I have been to over 8 different drs. in the past 5 years over the very rapid weight gain. (I gained over 75 pounds in 6 months) but no doctor seemed concerned about it. Mostly just concerned about getting the thyroid regulated. But again, they were not successful at that either. It has been out of wack for over 5 years now. So, I went to my newest dr on Friday and I had never even heard of this weight loss treatment before. She was the one to tell me about it and is also going to put me on the right thyroid medication and dose. I just love her! So the past 48 hours have been kind of a whirlwind.
I bought Neutrogena face soap hoping it was ok to use. But it does have glycerin. So now I am not sure. I usually use a face wash that has moisturizer in it. I went to a health store and all the products there had some kind of oil in them. So I am again lost.
Do you have the names of the body/face soap that works?
Thanks so much!
Sorry to read you are not feeling well. =(

Hi Darlene
Definately stay on the diet. I too went a few days that I felt icky, I think that is quite common as you will go through detox reactions.
Holly
I wouldn't use the neutrogena as it probably has some chemicals in it and these you definately do not want to use (on this protocol but also I would not use them at all as they can interfere with your hormones) I don't use any face soap while on this protocol. It drys out the face and you can't use lotion so I just rinse my face off and I get used to that. As for deodorant I use the crystal stick and that works okay. Natural deodorant does not work as well as the toxic poison stuff but we all need to get used to it as these are really bad for us and also disrupt hormones. I switched a few years back and I've found that you get used to it and I just wash my armpits more and reapply more often. There are a lot out there to try and it seems that they work better if I switch it up but for this protocol stick to the crystal stick.

Katiepen, I dont think its detox, cause my whole family is sick. It got worse too......Its the flu.......So even in this case do you think I should stick to the diet???
Yeah, I actually read from Dr. Oz's book(Dr. Oz from Oprah) that the aluminum in deodorant makes you feel hungry. Not to mention all the other things it can do to you after youve reaplied it every day of half your life.

Holly, go to fredmeyers health food section. And get Aloe Vera Gel to use for a lotion. Make sure its at least 98% Aloe vera and make sure its organic. And only use when you absolutely have to. Also at FM in the healthfood section find an Organic Shampoo, and conditioner. Look on the ingredients to make sure it doesnt have any kind of nut's, alvocado, seeds, or any other type of fatty oil in the first half of the ingredients. Oils from herbs, plants, flowers, and such are ok. And do the same for your soap.
Here is what I'm using. I use this pink grapefruit bar of soap thats organic and sells at fredmeyers healthfood section. I dont recall the name or brand name of it though. But it's always there so you shouldnt have a hard time finding it. Another soap I use is in a pump bottle, "Avalon Organics" Glycerin peppermint. It also comes in Lemon and lavendor. I havent checked the ingredients for the lavendor one yet, but the lemon one has too many nut oils in it, so dont get the lemon one. As for Shampoo and Conditioner, I use "Natures Gate" Organics Fruit Blend. (persimmon & Rose Geranium) The bottles are an Orangie/Copper color. It has sunflower seed extract in it, but its down near the end of the ingredients, and I havent noticed this stuff interfering with the diet. Hope this helps!!

| Yes Darlene, nothing would be served by going off of the diet now, it's not going to make the flu any worse or better. Hang in there! Just drink lots of water and get lots of rest.

Thank you both Darlene and Katiepen for the helpful advice. I did get the book now and that also has been helpful.
I am starting day 6 of the 500 calorie program and very happy that it is working.
In five days I have lost 11 pounds. It has just amazed me!
Especially because I feel great. No hunger either. Oh sure, I would love to sit down in the morning and have a bowl of fruit with some oatmeal, but a cup of tea is just fine! I keep motivated with the loss. I know it will probably slow down now that the first few days are over, but even if I lose some everyday, that will be better than anything I have ever done in the past.
I would have to say the only thing that is somewhat hard for me is drinking everything either hot (the teas) or drinkiny my gallon of water at room temperature.
Yesterday after walking for about an hour, the room temperature water just wasn't doing it for me so, I made some of the tea, but I chilled it just a bit. I needed something cool!
Anyway, thank you again for all the great advice and support! Good luck to all of us! =)

| Way to go Holly! Isn't it wonderful that the things you find yourself craving are healthy things like oatmeal and fruit. That in itself will change your life. Today is my last day and I can't wait to have a banana with walnuts!

Thank you Katiepen. 12 days down! and also 17 pounds lost. It is a great start. I do have another question for anyone who may help. On October 10th I have a formal evening wedding to attend. I will have just 6 days left at that time of my 45 days. It is a formal sit down dinner with a cocktail and hors d'oeuvres before dinner as well.
So I am not going to be rude and sit there and not eat, or even more embarassing, bring my own! lol
So my question is, has anyone ever had a day off from the 45 day plan to eat other food items and how did that affect you (fe: weight gain, set back days)
I am concerned that it is going to not only make me gain weight, but also when I get back on it the next day, will it take a few days to get me back on track or should I be ok and start the weight loss again the day after being on it again?
I also think about that when I start back the next day I will only have 5 more days of shots and I just want to end the 45 days really good, not at a set back.
If I keep losing like I am, I think I will only have around 35 more pounds to go after I get off the 45 days, so I know I will have to do this one more time, too.
Any help or advie would be greatly appreciated! =)
How is everyone else doing?

Hi Holly
Both times that I have eaten outside of the protocol it has cost me a week to get back on track. The first time was only 1 dinner and the 2nd time was all day. And both times I ate normal amounts of only healthy foods. The last time that I took a day off I gained 2 pounds, it took 3 days for the weight loss to resume and another 3 days to lose the 2 pounds. It comes at a high cost to eat outside of the protocol, you just have to decide if it's worth it to you. And quite honestly weddings have so much going on that other people won't notice whether you eat or not. In fact at my wedding I didn't even get to eat.

Help me stay focused and tell me that these shots and 500 cal diet will work! I'm on Day 4 of shots, and I broke down and ate some nasty fast food today!
Ugh, I feel so discouraged right now! Earlier I felt a bit foggy-headed and hungry as could be. I was assured by HCG Medical that this would pass. Does it?
Someone please remind me that this diet plan really does work!
Thanks! :o)

Hi Bevo
This Works! I lost 40 pounds in 2 rounds and I've been off the shots and maintaing my weight loss for 3 weeks now. I just follow the rules in phase 4 and I do the "steak protocol" when necessary and I know that I will never be fat again. This is an amazing protocol that I feel has given me my life back, finally! After 40 years I can get off the yo yo train and live my life.
What I want to caution you about though, as you can see by my last post, you can't cheat on this protocol, it is a very costly mistake. You have to trust and dedicate yourself to this fully and it will work for you. The first week is the hardest and since you cheated it will take a little longer but the hunger will pass and the protocol is fairly easy. After the first 3 days for me the hunger subsides and I start to get full of energy. A former couch potatoe, I can't sit around for long when I was on the shots. And it's not a frantic too much caffeine energy, it's a feel good have energy to live energy.
The best advice that I can give you is read Kevin Trudeau's book repeatedly during this and make sure that you are following the instructions without deviation. You will have the results you want! Good Luck!

| Hi Katie...I've been reading your posts to other memebers and they've been really helpful in my search for answers on this diet...So many questions. I feel like I've tried everything and although I'm excited about what I've read I can't help but be a little nervous as well. Daily injections, only 500 calories per day and then the safety factor. We have a few friends that have done the program and were succesful. Can you briefly explain the "Four phases"..I know you have said that it is really important to complete all four phases. Correct?? I have an appointment on Saturday to start the protocol...Nervous!! but excited too..... I welcome any of your suggestions and have already jotted down a few. Hope you don't mind if I pick your brain in the future. You seem to be very knowledgeable on the topic. Thank You!!

Hi....
Where did you get your information regarding dosage? Everything I've read said between 125 and up to 200. The info states that 200 or above causes weight gain. I'd like to know where your information came from. What dosage did you take and how does one know how much they should take? I think I was started at 125...#5 line on the syringe. I was tired and hungry. Was told to go up one notch. That didn't help. Have now gone up to 175 and don't think I should go up any further.

When will people WAKE UP and realize that there is NO MAGIC PILL or MAGIC SHOT
This process takes effort and dedication, not quackery and elixers!
Direct from the service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/321723?ordinalpos=1&itool=EntrezSystem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_DiscoveryPanel.Pubmed_Discovery_RA&linkpos=2." Treatment of obesity with human chorionic gonadotrophin was shown to be of no better value than saline in a double-blind crossover study of weight reduction in obese subjects. There was also no significant difference in mood, hunger, or missed injections, and no apparent difference in adherence to diet when the two agents were compared. In contrast, a significant difference was found in the ability of subjects to lose weight in the first four weeks of the study in contrast with the second four weeks, no matter which agent was used. Thus, the initiation of a new therapeutic program, even using an inert agent, has a temporary benefit--a manifestation both of placebo effect and the Hawthorne effect.

Two hundred two patients participated in a double-blind random cross-over study of the effectiveness of human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) vs placebo in a wieght reduction program. Serial measurements were made of weight, skin-fold thickness, dropout rates, reasons for dropping out, and patient subjective response. There was no statistically significant difference between those receiving HCG vs placebo during any phase of this study (P greater than .1).
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/3609673?ordinalpos=1&itool=EntrezSystem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_DiscoveryPanel.Pubmed_Discovery_RA&linkpos=5&log$=relatedarticles&logdbfrom=pubmed
The British physician A.T.W. Simeons described in 1954 a new method for dieting. He combined a reduction diet (500 kcal per day) with daily injections of the pregnancy hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) (125 IU i.m.). According to Simeons the patient should not lose more weight during a 4-to-6 weeks' diet than without hCG, but the injections should facilitate to maintain the diet and to lose body weight at specific parts of the body (e.g. hip, belly, thigh). After the first publication various studies conducted with male and female patients analysed the efficacy of the "Cura romana". 10 of these studies showed positive and another 10 studies negative results with regard to hCG-related weight reduction. Two of these studies with positive results were double-blind studies (hCG vs. placebo). Most of them were reports on therapeutical experiences and were not controlled studies. According to these reports the body proportions normalized and the feeling of hunger was tolerable. Four out of 10 studies with negative results were controlled studies (hCG vs. control without hCG), whereas 6 were double-blind studies. These studies showed a significant weight reduction during dieting, but no differences between treatment groups in respect of body weight, body proportions and feeling of hunger. One of them is the only German study conducted by Rabe et al. in 1981 in which 82 randomised premenopausal volunteers had been dieting either with hCG or without hCG injections. In recent publications describing mostly well-documented double-blind studies authors largely reject hCG administration in dieting. Supporters of the hCG diet must prove the efficacy of this method in controlled studies according to the German Drug Law. Until then the opinion of the German steroid toxicology panel is still valid, that hCG is ineffective in dieting and should not be used (Bolt 1982 a, 1982 b).

Darlene, did you get the email from drugdelivery.ca? They are having a special on hCG from a new manufacturer. Here is the email I received yesterday, 10/29/08. The special is good for ten days.
As of the receipt of this email we have launched a new brand of HCG known as LUPI. This brand is not only of the highest quality and purity, but works exactly the same as those offered by Organon and Hucog (all are interchangeable). We are offering LUPI HCG in 2000 IU, 5000 IU, and 10,000 IU dosages.
Now for the real good news...
For the next 10 days only (between now and November 8th) we are offering you a "Buy 3 Get 1 Free" offer on all LUPI HCG. Purchase 3 vials of any dosage and we will include a 4th vial (of the same dosage) free of charge! Order 6 vials of any dosage, we will include 2 vials free of charge, etc.
It has been more than 6 months since our last HCG promotion and it will likely be another 6 months before our next promotion - so this is not one you want to miss out on.
Remember, this is only for just the next 10 days - so don't delay. Tell your friends - pass this email around - and order today!
If you have any questions about you are welcome to contact us anytime by calling 1-877-888-3562 or by clicking on the 'Live Chat' image when on our website.
Hope this helps,

I don't do injections, I do sublingual, only because I don't have to buy as many supplies. I started with injections, and the needles are so small you can barely feel the injection. Sublingual is just easier for me.

I got mine from GHI medical. The cost is a little under $400.00 but that includes your support from a wonderful team, all your blood work, the 40 day supply of HCG, and all the syringes. They are great. ghimedical.com
Don't forget to buy your Yerba Mate Tea before you begin. Not everyone feels hunger, but if you should at anytime while the HCG is building up in your body...Yerba Mate tea stops the hunger. And.....be sure to drink at least (4) 12 ounce bottles of water every day. You will do GREAT!
Good Luck to you...........it works! Stay positive and inhale the beauty of life!

I don't usually respond to these types of posts, but I feel compelled here..
Newcomers with fewer than 10 posts, "schilling" for a particular way for you to spend your hard earned money, that does NOTHING to help you change the lyfestyle choices you've been makeing that got you where you are in the first place.
I am no doctor or clinician, what I did was provide links and data from the UNITED STATES NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF HEALTH, agree or disagree with THEM, not me.
Oh, and by the way....
Tell it to the 275 I've lost, and kept off for over 2 years (sorry, but I HAD to say that)

I am happy that you found something that works for you, Victor, but I don't understand why you think it is the only way.
I may be a newcomer to this forum, but that is only because I spend 99% of my time on a forum that promotes support for using hCG and is very active, unlike this thread. I pop in here occasionally to see what is happening, but I don't spend a lot of time here. I am selling nothing, nor am I gaining anything, so how can I be "schilling" for a particular way for you to spend your hard earned money ? I am not asking for anyone to buy anything. I am just stating what my experiences on hCG have been. While I applaud you for losing more than 275 pounds, I didn't have that much to lose, so I can't compete with you there, nor would I want to. I think you have done a wonderful job in changing your lifestyle and your health. My comment was directed at the source you cited, not you.
As far as being a newcomer, it is only on this site that my post count is low. On the site I usually frequent, my posts number almost 3,000. Don't assume I don't have the right to an opinion just because I don't post here often. I would rather spend my time helping others achieve success than to try to convince someone who doesn't want to be convinced, or is close-minded about what is giving me the success that I have achieved.
A lot of doctors use drugs off label. I just heard the other day that they have found out that a side effect of one of the sinus drugs is that it helps Alzheimer's patients retain their memory. Does this mean that you think they shouldn't use it because that isn't the labeled use of the drug? The same is true with hCG. It is safe for fertility, is used to help young boys with development issues, it just isn't approved for weight loss.
I personally know a handful of people who have lost and kept off more than 100 pounds with hCG. Doctors had told them that the next step was gastric bypass for them. They didn't want that, so they resorted to hCG. I'm sure you and I share the same feelings about gastric bypass.
While the government struggles to keep hCG off the market as an approved weight loss tool, the forum I frequent is gaining users by the dozens on a daily basis, growing from zero to more than 1,300 members in six months. Many are desperate for help and most state that diet and exercise didn't work for them, but not one has said that hCG isn't helping. Will they keep it off?? I don't know, but I do know that the choice is up to them. It is changing the way we look at food. It is causing cravings to cease.
As far as a lifestyle change, that is exactly what it has accomplished in my life. It seems to me that you don't really understand the protocol at all, or that you looked at it from a negative aspect to begin with, knowing ahead of time what your thoughts on it would be. I am eating more vegetables and fruits than I have ever eaten in my life. My blood work shows so much improvement over where it was last year. I look younger. These are probably all the same things you are experiencing.
I would never say that diet and exercise don't work, like you are saying hCG doesn't work. I have tried it (diet & exercise) but just do not stay motivated enough to stick with it. I've found the hCG does work for me. Maybe somewhere down the line I will incorporate exercise because I truly do believe that the body needs it.
So, you see, sometimes there are different paths around the same mountain.

No, your point is not made. Your ignorance of the subject is.
None of your statements are valid to me.
A. I am not in this for the sake of arguing with you, I am here to say there is another alternative. The other forum is made up of a number of doctors, lawyers, nurses, and other professionals who share my opinion. Yours is nothing to me.
B. Thalidomide isn't even in this Millennium, but Fen-phen, Avandia, Baycol, Bextra, Colchicine,Crestor, Duract are. I could go on with a lot more. All were FDA approved, and then found to have horrendous side effects and recalled. The USFDA does not have my safety and best interests at heart. Any drug company with enough money can get anything by them. Only public outcry gets them off the market.
C. See B
D. Your response makes no sense at all since I am not selling anything.
E. Your opinion, but if you are going to use the word, turn on your spell-check. It is exercise, not exersize.
F. And your point is??? You didn't finish what I said. I said it is their choice. Just like anyone who exercises and loses, only to quit and gain it all back. That is a chance each person takes.
G. You are quoting them. It sounds to me like you have done no research whatsoever. You had your mind made up, found something that would substantiate what your already-formed belief was, and looked no further.
I really don't understand your animosity. You come onto a thread that is titled "HCG Weight Loss - Excellent" and want to argue.
I went to your thread, was thoroughly impressed with your loss and say "Congratulations." I am impressed that you have done what you have to change your lifestyle. The Biggest Loser is one of my favorite shows. I admire anyone who loses weight through diet and exercise.
On the other hand, you aren't happy for anyone who has found another way. The protocol has been around since the 1950's, probably before you were born. (No reference to your age in a derogatory manner. I saw on your thread that you were 30 when you had a stroke and know you lost the weight and have kept it off for a few years, so you can't be older than the protocol.)
Do you think it is an easy way? Let me tell you that it isn't. It requires discipline to weigh everything you are eating and count your calories daily, exactly like you probably did to lose.
You want to cite the FDA, but hCG is an approved "drug," it just isn't approved for weight loss. It is safe to take in an amount up to 10,000IU per dose. I am taking 75IU per dose.
Since the safety of the hCG isn't an issue, just what is the problem? If people are safely losing weight and keeping it off, why do you care how they are doing it? Are you on a one-man mission to "dispell the myth" of hCG? What is your driving force? You sound very angry. It is very amusing to me.
Thanks for the verbal sparring. I am enjoying it AND you are helping me get my post count up.
