220lbs isn't bad at all. I mean your obese but...
What I'm saying is just diet... there is no need to get any kind of surgery.
The only time someone should have any of these kinds of surgeries is if they hit atleast 300+lbs. Other then that, just eat more healthier foods, no sugars or salty foods. Try going on a 1,800 Calories diet, then slimming down to a 1,600 Calorie a day diet. Try eating 4-5 meals a day, but keep them low Cal. and make them healthy meals. If your gonna eat meat, make it grilled not fried. Try incorporating Veggies and Fruits in your meals. If you don't feel like working out, try walking in place for like 5 mins at least. Either way atleast try dieting before you have this surgery.

My opinion is go for a surgery. It is very much safe and effective also after a long term. There are many reasons for obesity. The heavier you are, the more you are at the risk of developing serious medical issues that will have significant impact on your quality of life.
Also overweight prevents you from leading a normal lifestyle. As u know, there are various types of weight loss surgeries, consult your surgeon and choose the right surgical procedure for u.

Hi,
I suggest for exercises and diet for weight loss. If it doesn't work there are lot of surgeries like lapband, sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, and so on.
But you need to research a bit about the surgeons and surgery procedures which fits you.
I suggest Mexico for the weight loss surgery.
Regards
