Colonic Irrigation, can it aid weight loss other than the fact you weigh less well, because they remove like 12kg of poo?

It seems like a good idea to cleanse that area to me once every now & again & cleanse the body. Or is it all just a waste of time?

Has anyone had it, does anyone know anything?

Last year I had a colonoscopy. To prepare for that, 24 hours earlier you take very strong laxatives (dissolved in 4 litres of water) and you stay very close to a bathroom as you completely empty your colon before the surgent 'goes in' to have a look.

On the basis that here's any similarity between the two procedures, my answer is: no effect of fat loss, but yes some immediate effect as you temporarily lose that poo.

I'd even go as far as to argue that the idea of unnecessarily doing this to yourself with any regularity (excuse the pun) is potentially medically negative.

The healthier way to ensure regularity is to eat fbre-rich plant foods (vegetables, fruit, legumes, whole-grains) so that your fibre intake is 50-100 grams a day and drink sufficient fluids (probably at least 5 glasses of fluids).
