I dont know if anyone was wondering about loose skin. You have to lose weight properly in order not to get loose skin. You want to work on your body compostion not just losing weight. Body composition you will need to cut down on fat. do aerboics, and do strength training( to maintain you muscle mass and tone). Muscles burn more calories...every 10 lbs of muscle you have it burns 350 calories daily. If you dont do strength training you can lose muscle mass. The scale might say you are lighter but really your just a thin fat person. You need to cut down on fat becasue how are you suppose to lose fat if you are intake more fat. Aerboics burns fat at low intensities. Strength Training burns carbs(If you take in less carbs then less carbs you have to burn to start on fat) and fat. So actually by working on your body composition you will actually lose weight. To burn fat you must burn more calories(burn 3500 calories=1 lb of fat) you take in. You shouldn't take in less then 1,000 a day. It's not healthy for you. You can actually lose a lot of weight qucikly and still be okay if you do it right!

you mustn't eat less than 1200 calories/day , or you'll endanger your health..!

low carb diet isn't always good , coz in order to lose weight you must cut from your protein, fat , as well your intake from carbohydrates.. and you must burn at least 1000 calories/ week to lose 2.2lb / week-- this is a very healthy rate of loosing weight.!

best wishes

It also depends on how long the skin has been stretched,if overweight for years expect an operation of skin removal.

Also many pregnant women still have stretch marks after giving birth only after 9 months,so its dependent on your body.

some may have to get the corrective surgery and some will not.

It depends I have been fat all my life and stretched my skin over two feet from 34-64 inches now I am back to 42 and still working  ,When you lose  the excess unneeded fat, stretching  skin that much you will definately need some sort of cosmetic surgery. As compared to the flatter  stomach that I  dont have at that waist size.

As for me as of today I still have hanging man boobs, and that stomach skin hanging, hanging love handles which is all wrinkly.I have only 6 inches on my waist to get to a normal 36 inch waist. That isnt much if you think about it,maybe 20-30 lbs which would make my weight 210-220 lbs with excess skin hanging

Hanging man boobs and love handels are not fun, especially when you could wear a woman's bra.  lol  The elasticity of our skin changes so much, I just try to put on the lotion and anything else I can find which will keep the skin flexable.  Maybe one day it will tighten up.  If not, I'm cutting it off!

You have to be realistic about the elasticity of skin, it can only stretch so far.  I have what are called skin tears from being pregnant with my son, in short they are very very big stretch marks and I don't mean long, I mean wide.  My son was a very large boy and I was heavy when I had him, there is no going back from that I'm afraid.  But if you aren't too heavy and you excersize yes your skin can go back, genetics willing.
