Holy #%@&! :monkey: Peter!  Aren't you a HOTTIE!  This is the 1st time I've seen your picture

There are so many DIFFERENT surgeries that address obesity and there are pro's and cons for all of them.  Best thing you can do is TONS of research and TONS of soul searching.  Mind in particular, is the best decision I have ever made.. doesn't mean it will be for you.

I have worked in an doctors office as the person who had to get  1 type of surgery approved through insurance. I agree w/ reading as much as you can,  talk to your primary care doctor and if they feel you may qualify, to have a consult the w/  doctor and team( psychologist, nutritionist)  before you make any decision.  There are  different types of surgery and each one may have have different requirments from the surgeon as well as the insurance company.  Hope this helps.

To remain on-topic, the following seems like a useful resource for those considering surgery:

weight-loss-surgery-secrets.com/documents/finalbooksJan2008/WtLossSurgeryBook.pdf

I think it is still a draft as the author's name is omitted.

Hey there.  Been doing great.  I just got another adjustment.  I've posted my progress on another link under surgery if you want to check it out... it's called Lap Band Surgery: Before, After and In Between by Synicalchick
