I'm 340lbs, my main goal is to get down to 135lbs.
Hopefully by the end of this year or whatever.
Either way I'm really serious about this whole getting myself into shape.
I'm not only dieting, but I'm doing it in a healthy fashion.
So I need a friend or friends, who are serious about this.
Someone who will help me along the way, just as I will help them.
I need a motivator and supporter, and in turn I will do the same.
I have a LONG way to go... So I really need the support.
And I'm really willing to give out the support!
Also I'm active here, so don't worry about me leaving and not coming back.
So I want someone like me, someone who actually stays on this site.
Someone willing and ready to give & receive the help needed to succeed in losing weight.
Need a partner to? Please post!
I'm ready and willing to lose half of myself lol!

Kristin, I'm not over 300 anymore, but I used to weigh 359, so I've been there. I am currently at 206, and have at least 36 more pounds to lose.
I'm a pretty motivated person, but I have relapsed several times. I could use someone who will keep me straight, on or off the site. If you'd like, I'll be your weight loss buddy. Just let me know.

We start now! No time like the present. Here are my stats:
Sex: Male (duh)
Age: 27 (tomorrow)
Height: 5'11". It's 5'11 3/4" if you want to be technical, but let's just say 5'11".
Current Weight: 206.6
High Weight: 359
Low Weight: 205
Goal Weight: 170 (at the moment)
My e-mail is SentinelBasch@hotmail.com, and I do check it daily, most of the time.
We can check in however often you wish - daily, weekly, whatever. Just let me know.
Oh, and I should list some goals.
1.) To keep working on myself mentally, not just physically. I've discovered that when I am less harsh on myself, and when I try to appreciate my accomplishments, I do much better on my journey.
2.) To incorporate strength training soon. I don't want to start it now at 1000 calories per day, but here soon, I will need to, even if it's only 1-2 times per week. I've had bad experiences with it in the past, and it's just not as fun as cardio. I need to move past that and do it, anyway.
3.) To keep trying to find that balance between eating for pleasure and eating to live. I love to eat, and have had days where I'm pretty sure I put away over 10,000 calories. Food has always been my best comfort, to accommodate practically any emotion I feel. It's just food, and I refuse to let it dominate my life.
What about you, Kristin (or do you like Krista better)? Apart from weight loss, what else do you hope to accomplish along this journey?
Let's do this thang.

I'll add you.
Krista or Kristin, either is fine.
And yea, I'm ready now too!
Oh and I did buy the 'My Fitness Coach (Wii)'.
And it said I burnt 70 Calories, just on it!
So yea lets do this!
Also I moved from 1,600 - 1,400 to 1,200 Calories a day!
So yea I'm trying, I'm dead serious about being and staying healthy!
We can do it!

Sundays are my official weigh-in days, so I'll check back in here tomorrow with my progress.
Stay focused, Krista!

Go you!, Glad to hear you got the Wii fit!

Thanks, Krista!
Well, today's weigh-in was 206.0. That's a loss from last Sunday, but a 2-pound gain from the last couple of days.
Some of it could be contributed to the Wii Fit, since I used muscles I don't normally use, but definitely not 2 pounds worth. I did 3 hours of Wii Fit yesterday, plus a 4-mile walk, and I did eat a little more than usual. Still, I think I stayed around the 1000 calorie marker, so I doubt it was too much. But...I might not be increasing my calorie intake gradually enough, so maybe I should stick with 1000 this week, rather than go back up to 1250.
I looked into My Fitness Coach, and it looks interesting! I'll need to keep it in mind. Something else I was impressed with is Gold's Gym: Cardio - I like the boxing in Wii Fit, and I hear it's greatly improved upon in this game. I hear that the Jillian Michael's game for the Wii was a total bomb.
You know, some people would criticize the Wii for taking steps like this. The fact is, sure, if you go to a gym, you have the potential for a more in-depth workout, but you get out of any exercise regimen what you put into it. Programs like Wii Fit and My Fitness Coach are great for people who don't like to go the gym (like me) for whatever reason, can be done in inclement weather, and can be fun to boot!
In any case, how are things on your end, Krista?
