Hello again - I just had to tell you - we have snow in the mountains today.  It was raining earlier and so I just saw it.  Now if this is not a prediction of what is to come, I don't know what is!

Heck no!  For the fall.  End of October.

Got in 45 min on the stationary bike last night and eating well.  Not much more to say on that front.  It's a lifestyle now and the anomalies are when I go off.  That's what holiday weekends are for.

M.E. has another interview on Thursday.  Please keep her in your prayers.  At least she's getting face time but it hasn't yielded results yet.

I'm sorry that ME still is struggling with the job hunting.  Does she have a "passion" - animals, cooking, decorating, etc?  I think most people assume that they cannot make any money doing what they like, but that is not necessarily the case if you are willing to take a little risk.  Given that she is out of work anyway, maybe this would be a good time to think about a change in career.  You know how God works - sometimes He closes doors so that you have to give other ones a try.

Sorry I wasn't around today...the vacation was great but I came down with a pretty bad cold on Sunday so I am really dragging...trying to catch up on work and feeling like going back to bed every minute.

I have to agree with you guys, the education in this country is lacking but we have no one to blame but the parents. The stories Frank tells are amazing and my sister in law who teaches 2nd grade has even better ones. Everyone wants their child treated "special"....well in a class room of 20-30 that just isn't going to happen. In addition they complain about all the homework....well, they wonder why Japanese kids are so far ahead...let's start with a 8 hour school day and self respecting Japanese child then has 1-2 hours of artistic studies...art, music whatever. Oh and their school year is just that, a year, not 9 months.  Of course they have holidays and a couple weeks off but nothing like we have so it is not surprising our kids are falling behind.

As for the work being outsourced....again we did it to ourselves...we buy cheap but want high wages so we can't buy American. I swear my grandfather had it right...we could own nothing that was not American and we were far from rich, we simply did not have it unless we could buy American and beleive me he meant it. If we snuck a pair of sneakers made in China into the house...if he found out they ended up in the rubbish. That's just the way it was and maybe he was right.

That being said I own 2 Japanese cars...why...becuase they are a lot better made than the American vehicles I used to buy. Planned obsolescence sent me to the Japanese car market.

So now I will get off the soap box.

I need to get back on the healthy eating wagon, I know I gained back the weight I had lost and honestly today I just couldn't fight the fight. Maybe tomorrow.

Oh, my, I can't believe it is September!  Sorry to hear that you caught a cold, Fran.  May it be gone in a flash!

I did mega grocery shopping yesterday in prep for our company.  I know it is too early but it just worked out for yesterday - hopefully everything will keep.  With the garden, the only really fresh stuff I had to get was fruit.  If it doesn't last, I guess I'll have to get more.

You guys can probably run out to the grocery store whenever you like and so the pain is spread over multiple trips.  For me, it ends up being a marathon with any other necessary errands thrown in at the same time.  I was gone from 3pm - 11pm yesterday - then I have to put everything away!  As Bert would say, "oh, the humanity"!

The worst thing is that I was hungry when I got home last night (even though I had stopped to get something) so I ended up eating some chicken that I didn't need.  Better than chips or ice cream but this morning I was up 2.4 lbs on the scale!  I HATE THAT!  Hopefully, it will fall off easily!

I can't believe I can make a whole boring post out of grocery shopping.  I better get a life.

Have a good day.

Hi gals,

Yep, it is the parents fault.  If more parents were involved with their kids we wouldn't have a tenth of the issues we have in society today.

Our state is exploring the idea of year-long school so we'll see what happens.

Anne, get a rifle and drop an elk.  You'll have plenty of meat.  :chewing:

Didn't work out yesterday.  Took a rest day.  Will do pushups, pull ups and squats tonight for about 15 min.

Fran, next time you begin to feel the onset of a cold, take an antihistamine like benedril.  Take it right away and at bed time for sure.  It dries the sinuses and doesn't allow the rhino virus a chance to get a good foothold.  It's worked for me in the past but you have to hit it right away.

See you gals tomorrow and then I'm off to the mountains.

You know, Ray built this tree house in the back and he keeps saying it is the perfect hunting spot.  Animals walk by all times of day and night and they never take notice of it at all.  It would be like being a sharp shooter on a roof.  but I don't want to shoot anything!

HI guys, I haven't been very good at all about my diet or exercise...I am just in kind of a funk. Oh well, I'll get over it.

Anne, that tree house sounds great....you can always hang out there and "shoot" the wildlife with you camera .

Bert, I think you are onto something with the Benadryl, at first I thought it was allergies because the pollen is very high so I did take Benadryl and I think this cold is clearing up  much faster than usual. It was sheer accident but I will definitely do it again when I feel the next cold coming on. Catching colds is the price I pay for being married to a teacher....he has become immune to just about every strain...me....I'm still working on it but getting fewer and fewer .

They did look into full year school here and boy you should have heard the parents, and lots of teachers, complain. I think it is going to be a fact of life someday if we want to stay competitive.

Have a great day buds.

Hi gals,

Just a quick fly by today.  Got lots to do before I head out this afternoon.

Anne, wild game is so good and nutricious.  Get Ray to do the shooting.

Fran, sorry you're in a funk.  Colds will do that and I'm sure you're tuckered out after the boys.  Take time to rest.

Have a great weekend, ladies.  I'll be back on Tues., the 7th.

Good morning, Spices - or I think it is just Spice today - with Bert being on vacation.

Hope you are feeling better, Fran, so you can enjoy the weekend.  We have friends coming over tomorrow and we'll be going out with them.  Then my sister arrives on Sunday.  I don't know how much I will be checking in next week while she is here.

I need to get back on track too!  I need that groove back!

Good morning buds. Hope you both had good weekends.

I had a nice relaxing weekend, I kind of needed to just veg a little I think. Anyway, starting back on my better eating plan today and got myself back to the gym. I honestly wasn't able to do a lot big workout. I haven't worked out really in 3 weeks and I felt it. I also have been eating really bad things...a lot of really bad things, but I hope to turn that around starting today. I have no excuse except I love food and I have been over indulging myself. I have to say that apple dumpling I had was really good...so were the ribs Frank grilled for us yesterday...oh and the butter pecan ice cream with caramel sauce...see what I mean .

Can you believe summer is over? I am not a summer lover but still...it went so fast.

So what are you guys doing for your exercise now? Bert, have you given up on the PX90? I do hear such good things about it sometimes...just sometimes, I am tempted to try it. I really miss my 5:30 am aerobics class, it really started my day right.

Have a great day Spicy Ones.

Hi gals,

I'm back.  The economy didn't affect Pigeon Forge.  Everybody and his brother was there and I can tell you that in many cases, the family tree branches didn't fork much if you get my drift.  Some wierd folks.

I spent a great deal of time in traffic.  It took us 6 hours to get home yesterday instead of 4.  The hike was nice but there were so many people that we didn't see a squirel let alone any deer or bears.  Mary Ellen had a tough time on the hike.  She's gotten out of shape since the last time we did this particular hike in 2008.

I ate poorly and am feeling very tired, bloated and sluggish as a result.  Back on today and I have to step up the workouts too.

Fran, I do part of the P90X routines but not the entire 90 day program.  I'm incorporating parts into my overall workouts.

Got lots to catch up on today.  Hardly seems worth it to take time off anymore.

Today is our 36th wedding anniversary.  36 years of perfect harmony and bliss:dizzy:

See ya,

Good afternoon, Spice Cronies,

Gee, all that harmony and bliss must be nice, Bert.  I guess you never get any make up sex that way, though.  Congratulations on 36 years - not a bad run.

Fran, I have been relying on my cross trainer, some free weights and of course, walking (hiking).  I am so, so close, though, to getting all my equipment set up in a dedicated room.  I'll have the cross trainer, a treadmill, a bow flex, free weights and a good mat on the floor so I can get down and do floor exercises.  Those have probably been the main thing that has slipped since I do not like to get down on a dirty (construction) floor.  I could do them in our living space but by the time I get off the cross trainer and back up here, I am on to something else.

We are having a good time with my sister and BIL.  Yesterday we went to the rodeo and today we went to Telluride.  The weather tomorrow is supposed to be not so nice so might go to Black Canyon of the Gunnison which is very dry.

I feel for you in regards to the crowds, Bert.  You know how I feel about all that.

Ray's back is still hurting him.

Be good, don't work too hard.

Good morning buds.

Bert, I am with you on the crowds, especially when you are hiking. We have a nice mountain not too far away we only hike off season for that reason. It's Mt. Manadnok and they claim they are the 2nd most hiked mountain in the world. I don't know if that is true but I do know it is not fun to hike in a line of people and would you believe NO DOGS!! I think any hike without dogs is just not worth doing .

Anne, you are so lucky to have a room just for working out in, that is going to be terrific. Of course in my case I would find all kinds of ways of avoiding it .  Next time I am out in Colorado, which may not be for years,  I am definitely going to go to a rodeo, is there a particular time of year?

Well my eating wasn't great yesterday but better and I did go to the gym and I was back there this morning. Baby steps I guess.

Have a great day.

Hi gals,

Anne, make up sex, weekend sex, vacation sex, etc., the worst I ever had was terrific!

I cannot believe how one 3 day weekend of going off the reservation regarding nutrition has had such a marked effect on how my clothes fit.  It's terrible.  That's how sensitive I am to carbs and sodium.

I ordered my firewood yesterday.  Two truck loads.  I love my fireplace and can't wait for it to get colder.  I'll have it delivered Friday afternoon and I'll stack it.  I'm taking Friday afternoon off for that and to replace my lawnmower blade (wife broke it) and to cut the grass.  Saturday I'll install some new memory into the computer.   Sunday starts football season so we're having some friends over to watch the Panther's at the Giants.

Have a great day, spicy ones!

Wow Bert, you sure sound busy this weekend. I know football starts on Sunday but Frank has been watching all the pre-season games so it already feels like football will never end to me .

I know what you  mean about the cloths fitting tightly, basically right now I have one pair of dress pants that fits and I am determined not to go down and get the next size up. I WILL fit into these again....of course not if I don't get a lot stricter with myself.

I have to get to the computer store today and pick up my laptop, ever since I had it I've had issues, so hopefully they are all set now. I do love the convenience of the laptop so I really missed it. I wanted to change from VISTA to Windows 7 but they wanted $400.00 to do it .  Guess I'll live with VISTA on that machine. What a pain it is though.

I have to tell you right now I am stressed by my brothers and sisters, they are having these email wars...both brothers are liberals...very liberal and my sister is very, very conservative ( agenetic defect we suspect ) so of course they don't agree on anything when it comes to politics but they are retired and have nothing better to do I guess than read all this political stuff and then get into these huge arguements...and for some reason they inculde me....  I've told them to leave me out but so far that hasn't worked...of course I could insist but then everyone is mad at me. Oh well, guess that is what the delete button is for.

Have a great day.

Hi,

Fran, you may want to check with your company to see if  you can buy the software you want through them.  I'm sure they have a deal somewhere, assuming it's what you want.  I know the college has a program that we can buy software (Windows) on their plan for our own use at home.  Once I get my memory installed I'm going to upgrade my stuff.  It's less than $100.  Check it out with your H.R. dept or IT.

I think I love your sister.

Hi, Spice Buds,

Just thought I would check in and say hello.  Fran, I absolutely hate political wars - I mean, what is the point?  Politics and religion have no place in family discussions as far as I am concerned.  I consider them to both be pretty private matters.  Most in my family are very conservative and they just assume that everyone things like they do - wrong!  I don't really consider myself liberal or conservative - depends on the issue I guess.

My sister and BIL are leaving tomorrow.  I guess the visit has gone OK.  I tried really hard, and she did too - we are just so different.  Kind of a long story but we met a woman hiking today and we invited her to come along with us, which she did.  My sister seemed to get along famously with her - kind of emphasized to me that it is not that easy for us.  I often think she does not like me but maybe I'm just hard to relate to.

I am feeling anxious, not really sure why.  Maybe it is the work coming up.  I'll be doing double jobs for the next month or so.  Maybe it is the accumulation of guests and more to come.  I mean, I really do like to have guests but it can get exhausting all at the same time, you know what I mean?  And I need to get serious in the diet department but I just don't feel like one more thing to do right now.

Oh, well, sorry for the complaining.  I guess I just need to get to bed.

Good morning buds.

Still not doing what I should...but at least I'm thinking about it .

Bert, I think you would like my sister, she lives in Florida and we think she hates it up here, she was just dropped down by the stork in the wrong place I guess. Thanks for the tip on the software, maybe I will look into it. I really dislike VISTA....what were they thinking???

Anne, families are never easy, my sister and I really don't like each other, we try because we are sisters but if she wasn't my sister I wouldn't spend 10 minutes in a room with her before I dismissed her completely and she thinks I run over her like a Mac truck so we do best when we're apart. We are 15 years apart and never lived in the same house so I suspect that is part of it but it does make me sad when I see how close some sisters are. But then again I have a best friend from childhood and truthfully I think of her as my sister so I get one anyway .

Are those wildfires near Bolder anywhere near you? Sorry...I am geographically challenged. They sound really bad and my understanding is the wind has picked up again, how terrifying it must be for those families, I can't imagine, having to leave everything behind. I hear some people are able to go back to get pets and livestock out as well as grab some important papers. Sounds really bad.

Have a good weekend. We have friends visiting for the day on Saturday, the husband has had a knee replacement not too long ago so it will have to be a quiet day. Maybe a little antiquing if he's up to it.

Hi gals,

Seems that siblings all over are an issue.  I have issues with my sister too.  She's a good person but we're just very different in how we think and our views of the world.  Our politics are the same but that's about it.  Our life experiences are so different that we just approach things from a different view point.

I got here at 7:15 this morning as I had to work with IT to get a username and password set up for one of our contractors to teach a class beginning at 8:30 am.  We were down to the wire but all is well.  I have to say our IT dept. is pretty responsive.  I wanted to make sure this class went off without a hitch as people are paying $2K a pop to go to it.

I'm headed out today at 11:30 am and will fix the lawn mower, cut the grass and stack two truck loads of wood.  That will be my workout for the day.

Have a great weekend.

Hello again,

My sister left late this morning.  I am beat; emotionally drained, I think.  Our next company comes a week from today.  It is the end of the summer and maybe I just need a little rest time.

The fires in Boulder are awful.  My cousin lives there with her family and their house was one of the ones consumed in the blaze.  They will get to rebuild but what a horrible thing.  They were not at home when it started so they did not get to go into the house and take anything out.

Good morning buddies.

Anne, I am sorry to hear about your cousins house, I can't imagine how awful that must be. Of course what is most important is the family is safe but still, there are a lot of memories gone. Of course it's far too soon to thin about thist but when they are ready to rebuild I heard about a great idea. A person lost their home to fire and of course all of their pictures so once they rebuilt someone had a party and everyone brought copies of photos they thought that family would enjoy having. I thought it was a great idea so I may as well pass it on.

Also Anne it sounds like you need to give your self a good break, maybe just a day or two just for yourself to just do nothing or at least only those things you really want to do.

Saturday we went antiquing with our friends and had a great day. It's something we haven't done for awhile so it was a lot of fun. Sunday was my sons birthday so we had a little family party and today...it's back to work .

Diet and exercise...still not good. I just need to get my mind set back somehow.

Have a great day buds.

Mornin' gals,

Anne, I am so sorry to hear about your cousin's home.  It must be devastating.  Like Fran, I can't imaging losing everything I own and starting over.  I'll keep them in my prayers.

I got my lawn mower fixed Friday and cut the grass.  My wood was delivered and M.E. and I hauled it around back and stacked it.  Can't wait for it to cool down enough to use the fire place.  M.E. didn't get that job at the dental office so I took her out Friday night to the restaurant that my brother manages.  It was great but my nutrition program went out the door.

I got in a 6 mile walk and did my pushups along the way on Saturday but I did something to my toe and just walking now hurts.  I hope it gets better soon.  We had friends over Sunday for the Panthers/Giants game.  Ate too much of the wrong stuff again and felt like $h!+ last night.  Didn't sleep well and feel lousy this morning.  Panthers lost too so it $ucks all around.

Have a great day and Anne, get some rest.

Hey, Bert, is your toe any better?  A sore toe can be gout and you would want to treat that.  You can also try drinking lots of water since gout is a build up of uric acid in your system.

I don't think it's gout.  It's my second toe.  The "index toe," if you will.  It seems more like a sprain.  When I do push ups I'm on my toes and it may have been the walking and the balancing on my flexed toes that did it.  It's still a tad sore today but not like it was yesterday or the day before.

I also drink a lot of water every day so I'm running pretty clear.  I know, TMI.

Hi guys, just doing a quick fly by.

Last night I had the best  cod, we got it at Shaw's and it was cocunut crusted, all I had to do was pop it in the oven. It was a hit.

Hey gals,

Didn't do too well yesterday.  I wasn't feeling well and skipped breakfast.  I had a good lunch but met a couple of buddies after work for a few beers, wings and grilled shrimp.  Not too too bad but not great either.  I didn't get a workout in either.

I have to address a banking class this evening regarding a notary course for them so I'll have to get in a quick but intense strength training workout after that.

Have a great day!

Hey guys, this work thing is killing me.... I can't wait to retire...of course that is 3 years away but I still can't wait

I am not a trollop...a ho maybe, a SLORE perhaps but not a trollop!.  No actually when I am doing what I should be doing I do the weight loss challenge and the exercise challenge and I also keep a diary and respond to others. Now, that is when I am doing it right...that is definitely not the case right now. I am doing nothing but it keeping faithful to you guys...my best buds...but I warn you  I may stray again.

Anne, it sounds like you are going to be pretty busy for awhile at least to begin with.
Well don't forget us and don't do what I am doing which is stress eating. It really doesn't help.

Bert, you are so good with your exercise, not bad on the diet either. You just get right back on that horse every time.

Well gotta run again but have a great day.

Hi gals,

Stressful week so far.  Looking forward to the weekend.

I didn't get any exercise in again last night.  I had to address a class at 6:00 pm and by the time I got home I was too tired and my motivation sucked.  I'm not in a very good mood these days with M.E.'s job situation and other things on my mind.  Fran, I think I may need to stray too.

Well, I'll sign off now.  I hope you both have a good day.

Well, it sounds like we are all in a similar boat.  Stress is no fun for sure.  I just tell myself when I get anxious that this will pass.  It doesn't necessarily work, but I do it.  I am doing more mindless eating, just not being careful enough.  Like this morning I had a mint oreo, left over from when my sister was here.  Not very good (that is an understatement!).

3 years till retirement, Fran - that will go by in a flash.  Of course, we don't necessarily want life to go by so fast but it does anyway.  I don't know when I am going to retire.  I guess I could but that would make me anxious for sure.  I am afraid of the unknown, wish I could be a little more relaxed.

Take a deep breath, my spice buds, we will get through this!

Hi guys.

Bert, stray away but just remember who your true buddies are . I am sure you were never a girl scout but remember....make new friends but keep the old....one is silver and the other gold.

Anne, it does pass but a lot more quickly with ice cream and chocolate .

Yesterday I had a 3 hour dentist appointment...yuk! I am replacing 4 caps while I still have double dental insurance. I have two dental insurances and it is still costing me over 1k. Guess I am getting caps for my Christmas...and probably next years birthday too . I have to say though I only have the temps now and I am already happier with them so I think it's going to be worth it.

Still eating badly and not exercising....but still thinking about doing the right thing so maybe today. I always start out good it is late after noon and early evening that kill me. I am usually stressed, tired and hungry and give in. Maybe not today.

Well I've been out of the office so much I have huge piles on my desk and tons of emails to respond to so I'd better go. Have a great day buds.

Hi gals,

Ate well yesterday and got 40 min. on the bike last night, did some sprints on the bike as well.  During the day I did 40 pushups in one set in my office.  I don't feel as bloaty as I did earlier in the week but I really have to watch it.  I am so carb sensitive that it takes very little for me to puff up like a blowfish.

Sorry about all the dental work, Fran.  I hope it works out.

Please pray for a long time friend of mine.  Short story is that he has been hospitalized with a brain infection.  He nearly died but they got him in time.  We've been friends for 41 years.

I am just trying to visualize that blowfish thing...

Sorry about your friend, Bert.  A brain infection - is that different than a dirty mind?  Sorry, I could not resist, no laughing matter I know!  Infections really scare me, actually.  I know too many people who have died from horrible infections.  Or in some cases, they seem to go away and then reappear.  I hope they sqwash this one so you can be friends for another 41 years.

Fran, a 3 hour dentist appt sounds like not much fun.  I'm sure your teeth will be beautiful.  And just think, you could not eat for those whole three hours!

Gotta run - another meeting in a few minutes!

Hi gals,

Anne, they are two different things.  My pal has a brain infection.  I have a dirty mind.

I spoke with his dauther last night and she broke down over the phone.  Very hard on her.  He may get out of the hospital this weekend.  If so, I'm going to see about going to VA for a visit Thursday and come home Sunday.  M.E. and I talked and we're going to try and get him to come back with me and stay a week.  It will be hard to convince him but at least he won't be alone and I may even get him to eat right and get in some light exercise for the week.  We'll see.

Fran, hope your time in the dentist's chair worked out well.

BTW, Happy Constitution Day!

Happy Friday.  Bert, it's nice of you to invite your friend for a week.  If he lives alone, that would be a good idea.  But I understand that it might be tough to convince him.

We have more company coming tomorrow.  I have about a million things going to get ready.  I need to think about a way to make the prep for guests easier.  Other than the prep, everything else is fine.

See ya,

Good morning buds.

Bert, you are such a good friend, with all you have going on in your own life you are finding time to care about him, really that is what a good friend is, he is lucky.  I hope your buddy takes you up on the offer, it sounds like it might be good for him.

Anne, company again . Girl I do not know how you do it. Do you and Ray enjoy having this much company? Sorry if that sounds weird but Frank and I are less social I guess, all that company would drive me crazy. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy company but I do enjoy my quite days too. Well, as long as you enjoy it have a great time, you certainly have some beautiful country for them to see.

so...what an idiot I am for doing this but somehow no matter how I start out I get stressed out during the day and eat...stupid, stupid, stupid. I know no one can turn this I am really disgusted with myself, my eating is way out of control, basically binge eating morning, noon and night. I have got to put a stop to it and then drop 25 pounds or around but me so I am really just venting, hope you guys don't mind. I need to find that motivation again...I have no idea how this happened. Well I do, I just let myself eat way too much and let bad habits slip back in. I guess I will try the one day at a time approach, just try to get through one day without eating badly.

As for exercise...honestly not ready to deal with that, I need to get back to the gym I know but something always seems to get in the way. Of course I know it is up to me to make sure that doesn't happen so I will work on it.

We just found out Frank's father should be on dialysis but he has refused which really doesn't surprise me, he is very stubborn. No he is beyond stubborn and since his stroke 2 years ago he has not been happy. Both my mother in law and father in law are very, very private people so I don't really know much beyond that. Actually I was surprised my mother in law shared that much. We really don't know what that means as far as time goes but she said they may be getting a hospice nurse to come in to assist him which to me does not sound good. Frank has kidney issues too and I have made it very clear to him...he will do what ever is necessary because I am way more bossy than my mother in law.

Okay, I've gone on way too long, sorry. Have a great day buds.

Hi gals,

Fran, just get back to basics.  Pick a date, perhaps next Monday, and focus on that as the start date for you to get back to eating right and exercise.  September 27th is your day and nothing will deter you from begining what you have to do.  Get your mind around that date.  Visualize starting and hit it first thing that morning.  No excuses.  You can do this.  You've done it before.  It's not like it's something new.  Hit it and hit it hard.

I'm heading to VA to stay with my bud for a few days and take him to the doctors for follow up stuff.  I haven't broached the subject of him coming back with me but his daughter and I spoke again yesterday and she's trying to clear the way for hit appts to be complete this week.  He may have to speak with his boss about taking October 1st and 2nd off but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Also, please keep my friends Jer and Jessica in your prayers.  Jer graduated high school with my son and his folks live next door.  They lost there home in a fire Saturday morning and everything in it.  They have nothing left.  Jer told me that they had enough time to through a shirt on, grab their 5 and 18 month old kids and run out of the house.  He said that as they ran he could hear the windows breaking and felt the heat on his back as they ran out the front door.  So much heart ache.

Fran, I've said it before - I wish there was some way to put whatever it is that motivates us for long periods of time in a bottle.  I don't know what it is, I don't know why it seems to go away and then is so hard to get back.  But I also have been having consistency issues and no one to blame but me.  I went to the thrift store yesterday looking for stuff to wear for a 60's party.  So much of the stuff was way out of my size league.  You can wear things that are too big, but pretty tough to wear things that are too small.  Even with that, I bought one very 60's looking jacket that does not even come close to fitting.  It is a short jacket and I thought I could wear it open.  I could do that but the overall effect is a walrus in child's clothing - not exactly the look I was going for.  Why did I deny that obvious truth in the store?  Well, I am with you, Fran - we just have to keep at it.   You were the one who said that you can't lose if you keep getting back up!

Bert, the fire sounds awful.  They were so, so lucky to get out.

Yes, I am a bit tired of company.  Like this am, I can't go down and use my cross trainer until they are up and I want to do it now - actually about 45 minutes ago.  I am looking forward to my dad coming but I am getting worried that the leaves will be gone.

Fall colors in the mountains were beautiful yesterday.

Have a strong day and a strong night,

Anne

Good morning buds. I guess just Anne, I believe Bert is off to visit his friend?

Yesterday went well eating wise, I stayed on track for one day...whoopee   hey it doesn't take much some days to make me happy . Of course I had to get one of my larger sized pants out of the cellar where they are stored but I only took out one pair and that is what I am wearing until I fit into my 8/10's again.

the temperatures have dropped some so it is a lot more comfortable around here, fall is definitely our best season. It actually helps me feel more motivated. Like you Anne,  I am not sure why I can go months motivated and then crash and burn. Oh well, if we crash and burn we will have to become phoenixes

   Have a great day buddies.

Haven't left yet, spicy ones.  I head out of town Thursday morning.

I did 40 min on the bike last night, got up this morning and did some squats and pushups.  Eating well.  It's unreal how when I go off my nutrion program that I can see and feel damaging results.  It takes several days to get back to square one.  Now I have to stay focused to get back to losing again.  I want to lose between 30-40 lbs so that I'll get lean.  I've lost a lot of weight over the past 3 years but still have a lot of fat to deal with.

Have a great day, ladies.

Bert
