I'm a 5'4" female looking for an "accountability" buddy - I struggle with not exercising enough, and really have to fight to bypass the icecream and chips  :cone:!  I need to lose at least 20 pounds to be healthy (current weight 163) and I want to lose about 40!  I'm single and 22.  If these stats sound like you, maybe we can work together!

I'm planning on a moderate diet (slight calorie restriction, eating natural foods) and exercise daily

Thanks for the welcome   It looked like most people who had posted recently had already found a buddy, so I thought I would try my own post :horse:

Don't give up, and I wouldn't worry about the stats being too similar. The problem's the same whatever your age or whoever much you want to lose!

Hate to differ, but I think weight loss is different at all stages of life!  Losing baby weight while trying to juggle a family schedule seems alot different to me than trying to overcome the stress and time demands of college!  Weight loss is different at different ages too.  I'm sure there's a common ground - but it might just be a bit easier to start off at a vaguely similar place in life!  Also, it's easier to understand what someone's going through when you have commonalities in your present and past.  It's easier to work together and help each other if you have similar goals and similar needs.  I'm not looking for someone exactly like me...I'm not trying to be picky or exclusive.  A calorie is a calorie is a calorie...but how to get rid of those calories isn't always the same.

I understand what you are saying about having things in common, but in all the hundreds of Overeaters Anonymous meetings I went to all we had in common was the food... and that was enough for me.

I was just worrying because not many people that post in this forum find someone to work with.
