Hi,

I'm looking for a friend to drag me through this process.

Someone who is feeling the same way, maybe, so we can do this together.

I am 40 years old and weigh 193.4 lb :pig:

7 years ago I was a size 10 and weighed 126 lb and then I started work as a receptionist and the weight has just crept up and up.

I weigh myself weekly and plot it but I still have not made a serious commitment to changing it. I really want this to be the start of that change.

I am being made redundant along with 12 others at my workplace as they are moving the production to Berlin so I feel this may be the push I need. I have signed up for, and am half way through, a computerised accounts course so that I can move into a Purchase or Sales Clerk position and I feel I want to look my best for interviews.

The time scale we've been given is around August/September time so I have something to aim for.

I have 2 Children, Ryan, 14 and Sara, 13 and my partner Rob, who can eat anything and still stay slim (with no excercise)  :crying: Not fair.

Sorry to ramble on so much.  I'll stop now and give someone a chance to read it.

Talk to you soon... I hope.

Hi Karen, I am new here also. I am not new to dieting. I started three years ago and to date have lost 46lbs. I am 38yrs old with three teenagers (I know- there should be a law against that) and a husband. I decided to lose weight when the scale went over what I weighed when I was pregnant with the kids. It was hard and not alot of fun at times, but more than worth it. I can now wear the same jeans as my girls. So, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. If you need help or a buddy, just shout. I really want to get to my goal weight. I had a few medical issues that set me back a year or so ago, and now I want to get this done. I have a tendency to slack off, since I am at a decent weight. So, I need encouragement to get to my goal. I am 5'4 128lbs. and want to be 120lbs. When I started I was at 174lbs.

So, that's my story, and if you want a buddy, just let me know.... bye cindy

Welcome, and don't worry about rambling. Letting the words flow is the best way to get hold of your thoughts and feelings, and to share them, too!
