I hope I haven't posted about this before.
I was just curious if everyone has workout cloths that they do their exercises in.
I usually walk and go in whatever I am wearing, even if I am at home and just jumping on the treadmill. Jewelry and all, lol.
My daughter makes fun of me for this. But then she lives in workout cloths. I remember telling her, that if I had to go change everytime I wanted to walk, then I just wouldn't walk.
I think if I was going to a gym or something, it would be different.
So, what do you all do?

| Well, I do have some "exercise" outfits. I also wear lightweight capri pants and t shirts to the gym. My thing is that I usually go right after taking the kids to school and then from there to work. (house cleaning) So the clothes go from gym to work pretty easily unless I get a big sweat built up.

| In my opinion the clothes are the only reason to work out. I like being able to wear and orange racer back bra and pink yoga pants and have it be seen as stylish. Fun.

You know I thought about that also, workout cloths being a fun stylish thing. But, I never look all that appealing in work out cloths. If I was a hard body, then maybe, lol.
Maybe I just need to find the right thing for me.
I do get into buying and collecting walking shoes, exercise equipment, etc. Just have never had a interest in dressing for the part.
The only time, my sweat pants make it out of the draw is if I am going camping, and I need to be able to throw something on to go outside in - in the middle of night, or hang by the fire.
Plus, I have never liked wearing sweat pants when working out. I can feel my fat giggle around. I rather have something more form fitting.
Maybe I should go shopping...

I definantly need good workout clothes, i usually wear knee length tights (easy to move in) & a t shirt or a racer back top with a built in support bra.
In a gym its definantly nessisary but even going for a walk on the treadmill its important to have good walking shoes with proper arch support (you can really hurt your joints without proper shoes) & clothes you can move in. Theres nothing worse than walking in jeans!

I wear all kinds of DRI clothes they are great. I think playing the part helps mentally with what you are doing. Plus you get to see how they look with weight loss progress

Most of the time, I work out in a cotton t-shirt and polyester shorts.
I used to wear polyester shirts, but they gave me "problems", so I switched back to cotton.

When I'm at home I workout totally naked. When I go the gym, I usually wear a thick black T shirt and jeans. Sometimes I put my hair up in a ponytail, but usually I leave it down. It gets in my face the first 5 minutes or so, but after that its so wet from sweat that it stays out of my way on its own.

Yep, I have learned the hard way about good shoes..... I went through quite a bit, to get some decent shoes.
I now have two good pairs- so, I am good in that department.

lol, my husband would love if I did that.
I somehow don't think my kids would appreciate it though.

When I'm at home I workout totally naked. Um, doesn't that hurt? (Also, I think it would completely derail my other gravity-fighting efforts!)

| I love having workout clothes. Form fitting, stretch, comfortable and bright colors I'd never normally wear. Somehow, having those special clothes on motivates me to go work out! Plus, I hate sweating in my regular clothes.

Yep, I am thinking this just gives me an excuse to go shopping.
I was thinking of getting some leggings and t-shirt type things. I tried buying sport bras and got the wrong size, so I gave them to my daughter. Maybe I can pick up some more of those. I don't know....I don't even know what is out there for workout cloths, lol.

| For me the bra is the most important part. But sizing is hard - I like the racer back ones that you actually pull on over your head because they are snug and very supportive(They come s-m-l-xl instead of number sizes so that's easier and I always go a size smaller then i think I need. I usually get mine at Kohl's - they have decent brands at good prices.)

Wow, I couldn't do that, even if I lived alone. Way too awkward for me. The closest I've come to that is considering Spandex.
Actually, I'm still considering Spandex to reduce the chaffing. I wear 100% polyester shorts now, sized L, so they are a big snug, which I like, but I've still experienced chaffing.

I got a pair of compression shorts to help with that. They are great for working out if you are running/walking/bike riding. Usually they are sold in the running section of sporting goods stores.

Another fan of the racerback style sports bra here for the same reasons Midge mentioned. It sure as heck is a lot more comfortable working out when your boobs are 'as one' with your torso, and not jiggling about.

Don't need to worry about that, here. I don't have enough in the top section to make a difference when exercising. Sad, but true.
I think I could go bra-less and not tell a difference.
