| i recently purchased some 3 lb ankle weights, 1.5 lb on each ankle and wore them to the gym yesterday during mycardio workout. I felt like i was sweating a whole lot more and felt as though i got alot more out of my workout. My question is, is this safe? since theweights are light should it be a problem?

Don't know, but listen to your body and back off at the first sign of a problem.

| Ankle weights are perfectly safe as long as you are not walking or running with them on. Seriously, just google walking and any site you click on will warn against using them. A weight vest may be alright, but you don't want anything that will alter your gait. I wouldn't even use hand weights. Ankle weights do make good door stops.

I tried wearing ankle weights today. 1 pound on each side.
I think they were good for kicks...
Don't try running down stairs or anything with them on. I almost fell down the stairs cause I couldn't bend properly..
