Hey! I’m a 15 year old girl and I weigh 110. I’m 5’2 and I think my body fat percentage is around 22%. I lost 20 pounds but my stomach is still flabby. I still want to lose 10 pounds so that might be the reason for my flab.
Are there any exercises that I could do to get a flat stomach by June? I have a treadmill at home so what speed and time do you recommend?
I read somewhere that if you contract/squeeze you stomach muscles (not blow it outward) and poke your stomach then that’s how much fat you need to lose. It that true?
Is by body fat percentage high?
Thanks for the help!!

For women:
Athlete 14-20%
Fitness 21-24%
Average 25-31%
Obese 32% and above
(more information on this page)
So you're already OK - your body fat percentage certainly cannot be described as 'high' - but if you would like to see those abs you've got a little bit more to go in terms of fat burning, as you say the treadmill should help.
If you are looking for a steady-state workout it should be at least 30 minutes, ideally 45, and heart rate should be at least 70% of your maximum (you should sweat and/or be breathing more deeply).
Also consider Googling for HIIT (high intensity interval training) for an alternative type of fat-burning workout that can also be done on your treadmill.

OK first off you do not need to lose 10 pounds, I am 5' 1 112lbs 26 yrs old. I have been 100 lbs and you look gross, to skinny. but I to want to lose some pounds. For my stomach I do sit ups crunches and side crunches. If I don't feel like doing that I will do a pilates 10 min work out....it is 10 on your butt, 10 on your thighs, and 10 on your abs. Those are the key areas I like to work out. And I walk when I get a chance. And remember muscle weighs more than fat so as you get toner in your stomach area, you may gain or stay at the same weight. That doesn't mean you are fat.....been there and done that, hope this helped in some way keep in touch with you progress.........Kendra

Very true, muscle wieghs more than fat, so dont think #'s spot train as they all suggested. I too have a bit of flab on belly, age, recent weight loss, 2 sons, etc. People do get obsessed with #'s you seem quite small already and your weight seems ideal. Just concentrate some extra time on your belly excersie. And remember healthy, healthy, dont starve yourself, remember if you dont feed your muscles you loose muscle tone and connective tissue which includes your heart tissue.

It's pretty unlikely, if not impossible.
Where you lose the body fat at what stage seems impossible to predict. Certainly, when I reached what I thought was my target weight, I still had some to go, because I still had 'spare' where I didn't want it!
If you want a 'flat stomach' then crunches will get you there. If you want abs that show, then you must reduce your body fat beyone what is normally conducive to daily comfort.
Most models, bodybuilders etc. seem to get into that shape for a 'shoot', but I'll bet that most of them don't maintain very low body fat all the time. It takes a lot of dedication and self sacrifice - or else really blessed genes!
