Hello,
I'm new here which should be obvious. lol I have been overweight all of my life and recently I've been trying to get in shape and for once it feels like this is it, the time when I will really be able to do it and stick with it.
I'm a 24 year old female from Bloomington Indiana. I don't own a working computer right now, and I can only get online a few times a month. My laptop stopped working and I lost my job. *cough*mean aconmy*cough*
At the library today I came across this forum. Though I can't be very active for a while (until I get a new job and a new computer) I really wanted to join. It seems like a good place.
I'm concidered morbidly obese, weighing 280-282 pounds. (My weight seems stuck between here) I'm 5'8 and I'm decently active.
I work out between 1 hour - 3 hours a day, either doing a hour of walking, or a hour of a dance work out DVD or a hour of belly dancing dvd, so on and so forth.
I'm pretty poor, so I make do with eating whole grain brown rice, whole grain brown oatmeal, apples and carrots. I try to eat small meals staying in between 1300 - 2000 calories a day. You can see from the food I have that this is hard. I have to get creative. lol
I live with my parents, so luckily they won't let me starve, but my mom's way of buying me something to eat is McDonald's. lol On a cheat day I had McDonald's and I felt so guilty and sick to my stomach. That won't happen again.
Anyways, I've gone from just over 300 pounds to where I am now since May. I hope I can loose more weight, but so far I just seem stuck, even though I don't eat bad and I work out a lot.
