I'd like to be down 50 to 60lbs by end of October this year and 95 to 100lbs by Christmas next year. Thats my ultimate goal. Well one of them. I'm doing this for myself and also someone closest to me will be gone for 5 months and when they return I want to surprise them by getting healthier.
I have Lupus which has set me back a few and given me some complications and also, I have a really bad knee. I know that the weight loss will help with strengthening the muscles in my knees. I want to be able to climb stairs normally again and run, well maybe not run but walk better, and not be afraid to do lunges or squats without falling over!!

Hi!
I'm a new member too but just wanted to welcome you. I have found a lot of great info and support on this site and I hope it helps you too.
Do you swim? I've heard that swimming can be great exercise without putting a whole lot of strain on joints like your knees.
I wish you the best of luck in reaching your goals!

Hi another newbie here....Micchi sounds like you are wanting to lose the same amount as me....I am hoping to be down about 90 pounds by xmas...I hate making statements like that , as I feel its somewhat of a jinx! But I am not giving up, and seeing results feels so wonderful. I will look for you in the general forums, and see how you are doing.
