| Hi. My name is Christine. I am looking into the LapBand. I see my surgeon for the initial consultation on May 6th. A little nervous, what if he says no? What do I do then? I have been morbidly obese for so long. I just can't take it anymore. I refuse to end up having to have a special made coffin because I'm so big. I just keep gaining and it is so depressing. I am going to do something about it. All I have to do is get the insurance company to say yes. Sorry, a little upset tonight. I have been reading about Synicalchick and have been motivated. I want to be like her. I have great things I want to do; play with the kids, clean the house, take the kids to the park, go out in public without being self-concious. I am 31, 5 ft 5 in, and 280.4 lbs. My BMI is 46.7. UGH!!! I have a loving husband and family that are backing me up all the way, so I'm lucky. I want to look good for my honey and as it sits right now I can't. He says he loves me for me no matter how I look, but I don't feel good about myself so I have a hard time accepting his compliments. This has got to change! This is going to change! I've had enough and have finally decided to do something about it!!! I'm done being fat!! Anyway, just thought I'd say hello. I'll drop in again later. Thanks for letting me vent.

zoomomma? You've got to explain that username!
I just don't understand surgery as an answer because after it you still have to totally change the way you eat... so do it now and you won't need the surgery. Well, I don't mean to make it sound easy. It's been a life-long struggle for me.
And if you've read Synicalchick's topic, you know what it's all about. Best wishes you find your solution.

| Well, between the three kids, the dog and the lizard it is like a zoo at my house most days.

I can relate. I run a daycare, and have three of my own that are teenagers. Plus I have many aquariums, cause I thought I needed a hobby and it just went from there. So, yep, zoo here also.
At least the evenings here are quiet. My kids are in sports so their usually at practice after school. My husband works in the garage and I hit the treadmill.
I think it's hard losing weight when there are kids around to feed all the time. So, I hope you find some good tricks to help you stay on track. I use to drink a couple water bottle everytime we had snacktime, lol.
Anyway, got to go and walk some more tonight.
