Hey everyone, my name is Sally, I'm 21 and I live in the UK.

I currently weigh around 14 stone (196lb) and my first goal is to get down to 12stone (168lb) When i reach this goal i will set a new one. My final aim is 9.5 stone (133lb) but i'm not focusing on that right now. just want to do little bits at a time.

Alot of people say i don't look big or i don't look like i weigh that much but the thing is, i know i do and it really gets me down. My boyfriend says im perfect as i am, but its easy for him to say!

My main problem/weakness is chocolate! But i also eat when im bored, for something to do. Its also a comfort thing.

I currently do no exercise but am going to join my local gym. The main thing im worried about is that i will struggle to find the motivation to go. So lots of motivation is welcome! I quite like the 'tough love' approach, as in people telling me i have got to go, even if they have to force me as i know it will be the best for me in the end! But my family are never like that with me unfortunately!

Welcome Sally,

The trick with the gym is to make it fun. Take baby steps, and be sure you enjoy it. As your body gets in shape, it will be easier and easier and you'll find yourself doing more and more and feeling great about it.
