Hi all,

I'm Ruth from Ireland, and just found these forums! Seems like a good idea, have found others but none with such a good structure!

I'm a student nurse, single mother to my 9month old son Eric and living on our own!

Finding it a bit of a struggle to lose those extra pounds and tone up my legs and stomach still 9 months on! Have managed to lose 33lbs but still need to lose about 20 more to keep me happy!

Would love to have a buddy to chat to and get tips from, and I'll be a good motivator in return!

Hope to talk to eveyone soon!

Ruth!

Hi, Ruth! I'm  new here, too. I give  you lots of credit for losing weight while being in school with a 9 month old son! that is a LOT of stress, but you are doing it! You're a winner, girl! How have you lost your weight so far?

I just cut out all the junk! When I brought Eric home from hospital I gave away all the boxes of chocolates, and sweets etc and we were out pounding the pavement from the time he was 3 weeks!

Have gotten more dedicated in the past two months, joined a gym and try to go everyday usually manage 5 days a week but would love to fit it 7!! Meet with a personal trainer there once every two weeks which is great motivation- having to answer to someone definately makes me think twice about tucking into chocolate!

I'm not actually at college at the moment, I took a year out when I was 7and a half months pregnant, I'm off now until Sept 08 which is good, I can get Eric settled at a creche before I go back, and I'll hopefully at my goal weight so I wont have to stress over that too!

Hello Ruth,

Welcome! Looks like you already found a Diet Buddy! Be sure to read the instructions carefully and let me know when you want me to move your topic and what you two want for a title.

Welcome,

Peter:monkey:

P.S.

Thanks for the compliment about the structure. Never heard anything like that before, but I know that I get really confused looking around some of the forums I use. Suggestions always welcome!
