hey nance, dont despair yet, you are probably building more muscles because you have been doin all that elyptical and strength training!!! :)

I am up today too, i really need to listen to my friends and just weigh in once a week, same time, same place, same everything so that i can not feel soo bad when i check it daily because my fluctuations are INSANE!!!!

I am not posting today, I may post later in the week, but right now....i am holding to my last weigh in of 156. I am working very hard since yesterday after being sick, so I am sure that I will show some improvement... :)

You might want to checkout http://www.physicsdiet.com (I hope it's ok to link to other sites). You weigh yourself everyday and it computes an average weight to account for the "noise" from fluctuations. It allows you to view trends easily, so even if your weight goes up a bit or stays the same for a few days, your overall average may be going down.

With the benefit of hindsight 52.5kg was a blip, I'm still just 52.0kg (114.5lb) which was my starting weight for the challenge. The graphing website approximates my daily calorie excess at 131 pretty similar to what I think it is

198 lbs :sad::sad: Back to my start weight after daughters 21st birthday weekend.

I have weighed every morsel that passed my lips this week and worked out real hard and the scale did not move an ounce.  Hope for a drop in this final week.

Thanks

Weight is back up to:

120.8 lbs

I'm hoping most of this gain is water weight. I also just starting running again, so that may be having an effect.

It looks like just watching calories isn't working for me (over one 4-week period i should have lost 4.4 pounds and lost 0.4) so--I'm going to start tracking my exercise a little differently and pay more attention to my carbs/fat/protein ratio and hope that makes a difference!

sssooo I forgot to weigh in sorry about that, and I am STILL 158.2   by the time I go to get out for a walk it's too dark (and I don't go out for walks then).  Living in the north is tough in that way ... so I find myself sitting more.  Any suggestions?

Well I didn't exactly make a lot of progress in this challenge, no fault of the challenge of course, just keep seesawing. I have  good day week followed by a bad week. With the holidays coming up I really need to get it under control. I am actually still lower than I was a year ago but not as low as I have been, and where I would like to be. These last ten pounds are just not coming off....or at least not staying off. I am just thankful for the challenges, I know if I didn't have this accountability I would be so much worse off.

My final for this challenge, I hate to say it.... 135.3.

Nir, thanks so much for running this challenge and all the others. It's a lot of work I am sure but it is appreciated.

Final report:   118.6 lbs

Must have been a little dehydrated.  Makes no sense otherwise.  Calorie deficit wasn't enough to explain nearly one pound drop in a week, but I'll take it.

Great going team!!!  A total drop of 186.7+ lbs must be close to a record?

Thanks, Nir, for running this challenge.

My weight this morning was 52.5kg (115.6lb) so that's the weight I'm calling for the end of this challenge. Looking at the graph I actually gained approx 2 pounds during the challenge period which is probably exactly as should be and that is the target I should be setting for the next challenge.

(However I'm going to use different rules to calculate my weight for the next challenge, which I will therefore start at around 51.68 - or whatever my trending average is tomorrow)

Final weigh in =   161

Not quite to my goal for the challenge but I'm happy to have some pounds off all the same.   I gained 2 pounds during this challenge but was able to lose those 2 plus 5 more giving me a real total of 7 pounds lost.  I'll take it, every pound gets me closer to my goal.

Thanks for the challenge!  Looking forward to the next one.

158 is my final weigh in for this challenge. I confess I have gained and lost all this challenge and though i weighed in on Thursday at the dentist as 155....which is my goal weight for this challenge. However, thats not my regular scale so i dont have any tracking on it except to say that i use it whenever i go for a visit and its always 3 pds less than my home scale. I wish I was 155!

I am upset because of the daily weigh ins and the terrible fluctuations that i now see may be hurting me. I get defeated and dive into intense workouts, then just go and eat my heart out which is not helping me to grow in my  head or get my body smaller....I have to get around this block.

I am going to put the scale away and only weigh in once a week for the next challenge. LORD I HOPE I DONT HURT MYSELF FURTHER IN THIS ATTEMPT!

For this month, i dropped down to 156, then bounced back up to 160 and all around in between, very unstable, very frustrating, but its only I that can make that happen, by the choices i make each day. I have to get off the fence and make some committment to keeping the calories low or maybe try another avenue of dieting??

Looking forward to the winter challenge and I am going to try to get it right this time... :) Thanks Nir!!!!

Since that's the lowest I've been in this challenge (other than the start weight), I think I'll count it as a win. But I'll definitely make it out of the pink next challenge!
