The same as last week. Which is in despite of my average daily calories for the week being 1400. In addition to lower calories I trained for 3 days doing fairly intense cardio sessions, 2 days of upper body strength training sessions and 2 days of lower body strength training sessions.
I ask myself why no loss and why it's been harder lately to lose? Maybe I've lost some fat while also gaining some muscle? Maybe I need to up my calories even more? Maybe I am at a plateau?
Regardless I will continue with this journey, continue working hard to find what works best for me, change it up as needed and reach my goals darnit!

Hey Michelle, you are probably gaining muscle which is heavier than fat but you may be trimmer. I know it's really hard not to go by the scale but check how your cloths are fitting, I bet you find they are fitting a little looser.
I love your attitude, you will do it becuase you are so determined .

Was really expecting a gain this week so this was a bit of a surprise. The weather has turned cold suddenly here. My weight usually drops a little when that happens, but it always comes back if it warms up again.

Height: 5'8
Starting Weight: 186 lbs.
Goal Weight: 178 lbs.
Hi everyone!
I'm excited about finding this forum. I hope it keeps me on track and I hope in the process, I find others who inspire and help motivate me as well. Maybe I'll get lucky and inspire someone too!
I would love to lose 8 lbs come Halloween and I think this is an attainable goal. I think I will lose about 3-4 lbs in the first week, just because I’ll be making a lot of healthy changes. Example: not eating after 7 p.m., drinking more water, adding more protein to my diet; including shakes, cutting sugar and adding lots of veggies, finally, no soda. I am also taking step classes 3 times a week and lifting one day.
I can’t wait to see the results that someone of you have encountered this first month! Good luck on month two!

| Can someone help me on changing the font color? I tried highlighting it and putting the color that I wanted but it didn't work. I also tried typing my response in word and then pasting it but nothing....

Surprisingly still 110lbs!
I pigged out 2 days this week too... Doughnuts.. Turnovers.. (I really got to stop with the doughnuts)!
I remember I totally crashed around Thanksgiving time last year. After Thanksgiving, I just kept pigging out and couldn't stop. (Thanksgiving is a little over a week away for me).
Pumpkin pie is so good. Turnovers.. Pies.. Yummy seasonal food.
At least I'll have less things to pig out on since I'm a vegetarian now.

I know that I could be gaining muscle as I have stepped up the strength training a bit in the past couple of weeks. Pants are fitting a tiny bit better in the waist.
This attitude has kept me going and will continue to keep me going. I really feel that this is my time and I will lose the extra weight and get stronger. There's no other options for me now. I'm not trying to come across as some super confident snob about it or anything and it's definitely not always easy. But... this is how it is for me.

Hi BJ - I have taken measurements along the way. I generally take full body measurement every month. The last month or so has been a slow month for losing so the measurements haven't really changed. Though my waist is down an inch from last month, so that's something.
Just a note about waist measurements - I have found that during TTOM I get pretty bloated and my waist can measure 2-3 inches larger than normal. I imagine this holds true for other women as well. I know this now so I don't panic during that time.

Well I am broke and am eating like it with a lot of carbs as they are cheap, I am trying to watch my portions though and drink my water each day. With this though, I am only slowly going down in weight, 158.2 this week.

Hey SunnyMeg, it is hard to eat healthy when the budget is tight. One good source of protein that is fairly inexpensive are eggs. If you like them you can do a lot with them without to much effort and expense, tuna and chicken are also not too bad cost wise and really good for you. Also have you tried to Google diet on a budget or protein on a budget? I bet you could get some ideas by doing that.
Good luck, it is harder but it can be done.

Hello! Sorry, I didn't intend to 'drop out'. I've been moving house and the internet has only just been reconnected (issues with BT - for all you brits! ).
Weigh in is 242lbs. Will weigh again on my normal weigh in day, but thought I should just catch back up!

I am really happy to be back in the 120's but I am going to Mexico on Friday to an all inclusive, I fear I will be back up come next Tuesday. The place we go to has really good food and there is tons of it and it is everwhere. To make it worse when were there we do nothing, I mean nothing. Maybe a walk on the beach but that's about it so I can't expect anything but a gain I guess .

Hey Hiker - Congrats on getting back in the 120's. Have a great time in Mexico. Maybe you could take an extra walk , get some exercise while also seeing beautiful Mexico. Have fun!
