IN IT TO WIN IT
Summer Weight Loss challenge Begins JUNE 15th

“ Fitness PIN”
Summer weigh loss challenge. Everyone can enter male and female. This challenge will go on for 12 weeks.
During this time all members should strive to lose anywhere from 15 to 30 pounds.
Weight:
BMI:
Height:
Waist:
Arm:
Reason for Joining:
A strict diet is not needed for this challenge. You must exercise though. Keep a journal to view progress.
Exercise: Go for 3 to 5 days weekly. Stay in this range. Drink lots of water and stay hydrated.
Diet: Don’t drop all the foods you love. Its unrealistic in my opinion, and you will eventually go back. Just watch what you put in your mouth, and eat more fruits and veggie. If you exercise as directed you should be drinking more water as well.
Personal Note: I am very excited about this challenge. I have lost 61 pounds so far, and actually have 25 to go. This is a great chance for everyone to keep off the coach this summer. I am not an expert in losing weight. This forum is great in providing help and tips to everyone. Just ask around. I wish I would have came up with this sooner, but you know its never too late. I am seeking 2 other members to assist me in hosting this summer challenge. Please contact me via my profile if interested. Any suggestions let me know.
At the End of each of this challenge I will assign a fitness metal to every member who successfully achieves weight loss between 15 to 30 pounds. We weight in every 2 weeks. That’s 2 times monthly here.
Here are my details:
Weight:173
BMI: 27.1
Height: 5’7
Waist: 33"
Arm: 11
Reason for Hosting: I want to continue to inspire others to lose weight. I still have much to learn, and will continue on my journey.
To enter leave a reply here with your entry details. Bi-weekly the charts will be updated.
***I will put up the Chart This week for members***
How to Read chart:
-Name: User Id on this forum
- Starting Weight – Began at
- BMI- Shows what you began / current

* Weigh-in Every 2 weeks.Reason being most people including myself don’t see weight loss every week.

Hi Tracy
Count me in. I do very very little exercise, but I know from past experience that it makes a huge difference to my weight loss, so really I should be doing as much as poss. Maybe this is what I need to try to start down that road.
Im not completely sure of my measurements, as I dont record inches etc. But I will do so over the weekend and post up my details and starting weight Monday Morning.

Thats the attitude.
Week 1 & 2 Tips:
I know that many of you have lost weight in the past or still on weightloss journey. This summer challenge is just a good way to get some started and to contiue to motivate others to stay on their journey.
Some Tips for Newbies
1. Your weight affects you in many ways other than your appearance:
Your overall quality of life;
self-esteem;
health risks;
depression;
Think of all the positive changes you can experience by losing weight.
2. You should ask yourself these questions as you begin:
Why do you want to lose weight?
Are you truly committed? Do you have a support system set up?
Can you accept mistakes without giving up altogether?
3. To lose weight effectively, you will have to permanently change four aspects of your life:
1.) what you eat
2.) how you eat
3.) your behavior and
4.) your activity level.
Continuing On
Snack stats over the weekend
fruit and vegetables are the most effective way of combating the 'munchies' and are also good for your digestion
-fruit and vegetables are low in calories so you can eat
-different snacks every day and never get bored
'little and often' works
-snacking will give you the energy you need during the day and help satisfy your hunger
-snacks can be a source of health-promoting nutrients, such as fibre... so choose wisely!
-snacking won't spoil your appetite if you plan a combination of nutritious snacks and healthy meals

Hi, I'd like to join this challenge. In the past few months, I've let my habits slip a bit and am looking for a way to get back on track. This type of challenge always help me stay motivated and I hope this time will be great.
I had great success a few years ago with FL4I and I don't want to do anything that drastic with my diet, if I can help it. Anyway, enough stalling. Here are my stats.
Height: 5' 9"
Current Weight: 178 lbs
BMI: 26.3
Waist: 33
Arms: 11.5

Hope every one enjoyed there weekend. Summer is here and healthy frozen snacks are a great way to stay on track and keep cool.
1. NATURAL HEALTHY SNACK : Skinny Chocolate Banana Shake

Throw a banana and a big handful of ice into a blender; add a nice squirt of Hershey’s syrup and about a half-cup of skim, soy or rice milk. Blend it up and enjoy all the goodness of a milkshake with none of the calories! Think ahead and freeze the banana (peeled) for a slushier treat.
2. NATURAL HEALTHY SNACK : Frozen Yogurt with Fruit

Pull a Pinkberry and drown a small cup of organic frozen yogurt with a mountain of chopped kiwi or mango and blackberries or raspberries. Watching your weight? Reverse the stack, and top a bowl of fresh fruit salad with a dollop of fresh or frozen yogurt; drizzle with honey or maple syrup if the fruity treat is a tad too tart for your taste.
3.2. NATURAL HEALTHY SNACK : 100 Calorie Fozen Fudge Bar

Fudgesicles: Have a sweet tooth? Good news! You can satisfy your need for sweets without the guilt by snacking on one of these creamy treats on a stick. At about 40 to 100 calories per serving, they are a dieter’s dream (you can even go for seconds!). For fewer calories and less fat, stock up on the sugar-free versions, like Popsicle’s No Sugar Added Fudgsicle Pops.

| Hi, sorry I haven't been checking in for a while. My weight has gone up to 163.4, but my measurements are the same. I worked out 9 times last week, but I can't seem to keep up with my appetite. Hopefully I'll do better for the next check-in.
