For the last 4 days I have been eating a diet that is lower in food weight and potassium content and during this time the highest weight I've seen was 53.5kg (117.8lb) so just for fun this is what I'm going to post as my weigh-in this week. Of course if I go back to eating potassium-rich foods I expect my loss will be reversed and I'll be sure to post that too.

I am a no change too. I visited London yesterday and spent all day walking between art galleries. Had sushi in Selfridges from one of those rotating conveyer belts. How many cals did I eat no one will ever know. To top it off had ice cream and then chocolate on train journey home .

Sounds like you had a nice day and all that walking had to burn some of those calories . But sushi from a conveyor belt? Somehow that does not sound like the freshest shusi? Of course I have no idea what Selfridges is so maybe it is the best ever, it just doesn't sound that way. Now chocolate and ice cream....those sound good no matter how they are dispensed . You are lucky to have such a great train system, around here you would not want to eat on the trains, mostly you just want the trip to end .

Hi Hiker
Have you heard of Harrods? Well Selfridges and Harrods are real upmarket department store like bloomindales?? in NYC.
The sushi is made freshly in front of you by japanese chefs Having said that I mainly ate the hot dishes. Squid with chillis, seafood rice, vegetable noodles. You get little bowl fulls and pay as to how many bowls you eat It cost £54 maybe $75 USD for three of us.
Did 1 hr 10 run yesterday and eating well yesterday and today. My attitude has changed in theat I don't let a day off lead to a binge like I used to.
I walked maybe 5-6 miles in London as well.

Snow! Two days of wet snow! I hate snow in June! Oh well, with any luck that will be our last snow fall until September (maybe even October if we get lucky).
Despite the weather and my related decrease in physical activity I've managed to lose almost 2 lbs. this week. I've been really careful with my dinners.

Sorry, missed my weigh in last Friday. Should have been: 246.9lbs
I am going the wrong way?! I have started telling a couple of the woman in my office my weight on a Monday (when they weigh for their slimming world classes) and a Friday (when I weigh for CPH). Also started putting the £4.50 a week into a savings jar that I would pay out for if I went to the slimming world class with them.
Im just trying whatever I can to keep the motivation going!

Hi Artist John and all,
I am pulling myself from this challenge. I am pleased with my weight loss so far ~ from the last challenge and this one ~ although I have not reached my goal yet. Recording the weekly weigh in kept me focused.
I plan to experiment with adding juicing to my daily intake. I'm not sure how to balance this with what I do now but I anticipate some fluctuation with my weight. I won't be focused on continued weight loss right now but on a healthier eating plan. Once I find a level of comfort I will again work towards my weight loss goal.
Congratulations to all of you who continue your triumphs against the battle of the bulge! I have been inspired and am very grateful for all of you who share your struggles and your successes.
Sincerely,
Skinnieme

Im becoming doubtful as to whether I'll reach my goal. I'll try. I'm still proud to have lost the weight I have so far.

Current weight 125.8, down 1.3 from last week.
It has to be the exercise I've been doing lately I started going to the gym 4 or 5 days a week, just for a class but I think it may be helping? I haven't changed my eating habits in the past month or two but something is changing/working....and I am not complaining. Maybe it was that chocolate peanut butter cookie dough ice cream I ate on Sunday .

Thursday update: No Change
Ate more yesterday than any day since January. Meatballs and banana nut bread did it. So no change is a relief. Must get back on track today.

Not much change. There is no chance of me completing my target now, 15lbs in 2 weeks? Not possible!
So I am wondering whether to review my end target. 246.4lbs at the minute which is 17stone 8.4lbs. I am wondering whether it would be impossible to hit 237lbs, which will mean I am then in the 16stone bracket...just!
8.5lbs in 2 weeks? Probably almost impossible, but at least it isnt completely impossible like my original goal now is.

Kekkiemonster, you are doing great, you are sticking with it and making progress. I know it is frustrating when the wieght doesn't come off as fast as we like but this is something we are going to deal with for the rest of our lives so we have lots of time to do it (at least I hope so). If we just keep plugging away it will happen and as long as you keep at it you are winning. The goals we set are just that...something we want to achieve but maybe you were a little too hard on yourself when you set it. I don't think it matters if we hit our goal or not, what matters is that we are doing the best we can every day and it may take a very long time but we will get there. My own story is I have lost 60 pounds but it took me a year and a half to do it and now that I am where I want to be it is still a struggle to stay at this weight. What I am trying to say it don't worry about the goal, if we keep plugging away we are all going to get there. In my opinion if we end up less than we started, it's a win.Last edited on 13 June 2009 05:51 pm by Hiker

After last week's unrealistic 117.8lb I'm back up with a slightly more realistic 54kg = 118.9lb. Given the potassium I've been eating since Monday I'm surprised it hasn't shot up higher already.

That's one pound up from last week but it's TTOM so I'm not worried about it. I've been eating good and exercising so it's all good.

Well I hate to report this week but I will. I fell way off somehow, I did cheat some but it was worse than I expected.
Current weight 127.7. up 1.9
Wish I could say it was worth it, but it really wasn't. Oh well, time to just put one foot in front of the other and get moving.
