Hey Nance, I think those storms have worked the way up the coast. It is poring here and the wind is pretty bad. They say we are in for at least 2 more days of this...yuk.
I still got my 7 mile walk in this morning...we were all glad when we hit the end, it was nasty.
Saturday--90 minutes cardio---unless I should take extra for the shivering .
BJD, MJ is lucky to have a mom who runs her in and out of the stores in the carriage .

I'm curious BJ, can that Wii golf be programmed to force you to walk to the next hole? That would be neat. They could use something like Google Street View. If it doesn't maybe we should come up with something like that and patent it.
Spent 2 hours at the gym this afternoon. Counting walking there and back, elliptical and track, did a lot of cardio (and strength), finally. Seems like I only go in spurts.

Nancy, I don't know if you can walk to the next hole with the Wi system but what a great idea!
The weather here is terrible so my dogs didn't get there Sunday off leash walk, I feel bad when they have to miss it but is is poring, cold and windy....I wasn't going out in that. Since I didn't take them out I figured I'd better go to the gym. On Sunday's there is a 90 minute Power Hour (circuit training) that is super intense, I have no idea what possessed me but I took it,YIKES it kicked my butt, at least I was able to do the whole class but ouch .
Sunday--90 minutes cardio U, C and L. I really think I earned it too .
Corned Beef and Cabbage....here I come .

All I can say is I just got back from the gym and I am sitting here and it is actually hard for me to type my arms and shoulders are so sore. When I woke up this morining I felt a little stiff from that work out yesterday but I felt fine to go to the gym...or so I though. I did my weight routine and then my cardio but by the time I got home my arms were killing me . I have a feeling I may be taking tomorrow off from the gym or at least only doing cardio.
Monday--U, C, L and 30 minutes cardio. Boy did I do U!

LOL, I love my big red X. Thanks Nancy.
Today I only did cardio, figured I'd give those arms a rest. I did 20 minutes on the Stair Master and 30 minutes jog/walk. I am pretty pleased with my jogging, I can do 8 laps jogging to 2 laps walking now so that is 1/2 mile straight jogging. Of course my jog is a nice slow jog but still I used to be winded after 2 laps . It does encourage us when we see progress don't you think?

thanks hiker! she should know that!!! having a hard time again, listening is just to hard for her somedays! ;o.
nance, the best i can do is stay active while playing, sometimes i walk around the living room, and since i have this nifty pedometer that tracks my steps, i can see how much i do and it spurs me to do more. its cool! the best the wii game does is show the player walkin to the tee and so on.
havent played again since sunday nite, and that was my workout for sunday. i did walk almost 11,000 steps which equals almost 4.5miles, just in my daily routine. wild huh? For Sunday, please give me 90min cardio (i walked the couch this game).
Monday, didnt do anything except lay on the couch and catch up on the movies we had recorded but havent watched. i tried not to munch alot, but i am sure i did wihtout noticing! lol...
its ok once in a while to be a vegetable on the couch! lol
Today, tuesday, i have moved a heavy metal couch for the back porch, it goes with the rest of the stuff from my gramas, i have warmed my vocal chords with mj since she woke up, and i also laid out on my dad when we spoke...i am bubblin over with this anger i cant make go away right now......the good thing is i havent eaten to make myself feel better, but i am doing #%@&! that i havent been able to get too, so its a good thing, and the propane man is coming today sometime so i am house bound more or less, cant leave the house and gate open, so i am goin to do my pilates workout for sure, and will update later.

Goat tending was a little more involved today. In addition to the usual, I cleaned out the hay feeder of fallen leftover bermudagrass seed heads and hauled them away to be planted when it warms up. We got about 2 bushels of this trash. The goats don't seem to want to eat it once it falls off and makes like a dust. I guess I wouldn't want to eat it either, but I bet it's the most nutritious part of the hay. Silly goats!
Got to get some strength in soon. Hopefully tomorrow.

On gym days I check my cell phone clock when I leave the house and go right into the the cardio stuff at the gym first, so I just check the time when I start the strength part. It takes 13 minutes to walk home. Got that memorized by now. On those days the only time it's not precise is when I forget the original time.
Gym tonight, hitched a ride with a friend, 20 mins elliptical, 10 mins track.

Feeling kind of blah...fighting a cold, thanks to my husband who had one last week . Still I got a 7 mile walk in yesterday and we are taking the dogs for thier long off leash romp in the woods so I am getting some exercise in.
I need to kick up my walking if I am going to be ready for the 3 day 60 mile walk in May. I know I will be ready, I always am but I also always worry I wont' be ready .

hey everyone, Hiker i am sorry you are sick, please rest and get better soon so the easter bunny can visit you! :)
sunday: 3 hour single games tourney for me, i jogged in place, ran around the couch, did knee lifts etc during the moments between hitting, usually a 30-40sec window, so i did small interval training, 2.47miles total during that time. so this was 3 18hole games at an hour per round. Total for Sunday is 130min and some strength for the C and U.
monday: 2 rounds of tourney again at 1 hr each, doin the jogging in place between hitting. 2 more games after lunch of tourney at 1 hour each, doing the same thing. 2.15miles this time around and then a 9 hole in the evening before we got into the hot tub for a bit. It wasnt really hot so we didnt even stay in 30min. Total for Monday is 230min cardio and some strength for the C and U again. total walk was 2.88miles.
tuesday: scooped the poo for almost 45min, two wheelbarrow runs to the field, then i went back out and raked up tumbleweeds and made 4 small control burns around the "amazon" field, for 2 hours total, walked 2.43 miles in this time outside. It is ugly windy and tryin to rain so i got it done in time! whew! scary when the wind picks up and you have a fire goin...never know what can happen! I dont know if i will do anything else today, so for now can i please have 120min cardio and U L AND C for Tuesday. :)
shot up over the weekend, i cant seem to behave on the days D is off, will that ever change? but i am back to 155 today, lol.......its just a yo yo for me! At least all the chocolate candy is gone. I have the fiber one pop tarts but they are almost gone too! lol...i have one package left! it will be gone today!
I made cupcakes for D and MJ, but MJ isnt into them, so i am sending them to work with D for his lunch, i had one last nite, but i ate the top and not the whole thing, gave it to the dogs. lol.....i know, chocolate isnt good for dogs! lol..but in all the dogs i have had, all have had chocolate and been just fine.... : ) bad mommy!
ok, so who here knows about horses? i think and declare that my Calypso is with Foal......i did some research as her middle is looking like an egg on its side from the front view and it kinda pops out on the sides, more than kinda, and she stands and lets me talk to her belly and rub it, and its hard as a rock!!! not squishy like she is fat, and besides we dont feed them enough for her to be overweight........i think she is prego for sure, and its an 11month window, so if she went into heat in the spring that was after wegot her and well, it could be anytime now. I have to watch her teats, didnt even see them till today, HOW LITTLE WE BOTH KNOW ABOUT HORSES! LOL.......its an adventure, we dont know HOW IN THE HECK we will afford a baby but well, God has his reasons so we dont wish to argue with him. It will be awesome! I tried to find a book about the basics but they are so detailed, we dont want to be breeders, but well, how do we afford to stop this from happeneing again? lol....hmmmmmmmmmm

BJ, I don't know anything about horses, just goats and cats. Maybe someone will chime in who is not a regular. Good luck. I would be scared out of my wits.
It's good you are giving us something to fill in the chart with. With Hiker under the weather and me being lazy again it looks pretty empty down there.

hey nance! :) i am thrilled to be the only one on the chart for the moment, cuz i dont know if i feel like i am really working out enough! lol....
didnt do any golf last nite, just caught up on the BONES we have had saved...seen em all and yet, so much i miss because i am such a busy body always getting up and doing something, helping someone etc...lol...i miss so much!
i have already walked a mile just around the house since getting up at 6am, funny how much i move around! lol
i am planning to do something today, just havent made a decision yet....havent eaten yet....but i will!
ok, you guys have to come back and join me! i dont want to be all alone!!! :)
as for my horse, i am excited, and yeah we are thinking about what ifs afterwards, if its a girl, then we have to definately get Bob castrated....can they do it at home or do we have to take him somewhere? so many thoughts to consider, but to give one up when they will create a real family unit just breaks my heart, and we have no papers on any of them, so to sell them would be silly, we wouldnt get any money for them....and i dont want to do that, id soon get rid of the puppy first, as hes still peeing on the carpet and making D very upset.........

In addition to the usual (goats), I walked around my mom's yard killing wild onions today for at least 30 mins. This involves swabbing each onion plant with a wet glove soaked in Round-Up. She has a pretty big yard, maybe 1/2 ac, and there was a lot of stooping, bending, and squatting, so I might could have justified C and L, but that would make me be enough satisfied to goof off tomorrow, so I won't.

hey team! :)
wednesday i did my 2 mile big burn that is interval training, using my 4lb wts for 30 min then i did my pilates video for 18min. :) I also vacuumed, then we played 18 holes at Turnberry in Scotland before bedtime. I walked a total of 11,586 steps just around here! that is 5.47miles.
please give me 140min cardio and U L AND C for Wednesday.
today its sunny so i am not sure what we will do, maybe scoop the poo, walk the orchard, get outside? i have to stay calm today, in talking with a friend about the Lord on facebook she reminded me that each time i raise my voice in anger, or yell, or show anger defeat disappointment etc that i am letting Satan win the battle over God and that i need to just Pray when i feel these feelings that i cant keep in ( more regarding the listening struggle with MJ as yest was a doozy of a day. I had 3 big times where she went right around my request to do certain things and did what she wanted instead and i lost my cool..................again) and so, already today i have had to raise my voice because the kid sees no reason why she shouldnt stand in the middle of 3 dogs getting all roused with each other in a growling wrestling match over a sock rope they play with. Yesterday she somehow got a scratch under her eye by being involved with them too much....and its just a second of time, they are playing and she gets the nick....i know it will happen but the part i cant deal with is that i ask her repeatedly to leave them alone, play with one at a time, not all 3. But she does what she will, just like her mom, stubborn as heck.

Well guys, I am back from the dead....okay just sick but I'm back. I have done absolutley nothing this week and I can't see me going to they gym tomorrow so for this week, very little. Maybe a walk on the weekend.
BJD, I know nothing about horses except they have the most expressive eyes. If you do get a colt even without papers I would think someone might want a nice horse. I am just thinking of feeding all of them. I understand that can be quite expensive, but I really don't know. As for the puppy peeing....two words...crate training. I know you might think it's mean but I have done it with my last 5 dogs and it is the way to go. It's a lot less mean than yelling at them cuz your upset...and I admit I have done that. Since the others are house trained it wouldn't take long at all. I would keep the puppy in the crate until it's time to go out for thier business then out he goes w/ the others, when they come in a few minutes of supervised play time and back into the crate. With the others to teach him it would be easy. If you don't have a crate my first crate was a box I built myself with a top weighted down with books...not very pretty but it worked .

Walked to the gym this morning just to extend my membership and did a half mile on the track. Surprisingly I did a whole lap jogging without any trouble today. So the scanty exercise lately hasn't hurt that part. Then did a few leg lifts and some planks at home. Kinda like those planks. That coupled with yesterday justifies one C (maybe).

Finally something to write down.
Saturday 90 minutes cardio. Of course it should have been longer, we planned on a 10 mile walk on a rail trail but when we got there we discovered no dogs . Well I had 2 of my dogs with me, and although I told the others to go they wouldn't so we ended up walking some of the streets in the area. It makes me so mad to see places like that not allow dogs. I know the reason is because some people don't leash their dogs and other or the same ones don't pick up so people don't want dogs. That gets me so mad because I always pick up and I do mean always and if there is a leash restriction I abide by it, if not my dogs don't bother people and they come when called. They aren't perfect but they have some basic manners. To me that is part of owing a dog but we have to suffer because a few people are not responsible . The sad part is I really think the best way to have well behaved dogs is to have them around other dogs and lots of people so they learn what is proper behavior. Okay, sorry, I know no one wants to hear my rant, but I feel better for having had my say, thanks for listening .

saturday i got in 3 miles of my pilates walk, and used my 4lb hand weights the entire time of 43min, took mj and the dogs to the orchard and we walked for 15min, then i brushed the horses for 15min then scooped the poo for 40min. All in all a decent day, i walked over 14000 steps, which is almost 6.50miles. Too bad for me, that i ate too much food! I had orig ordered the sonic cheeseburger from my sis when she was heading in, but yest morning i changed it to the chicken sandwich, saving me over 400 calories? i was very proud of myself! But they showed up and it was still the cheeseburger...so being i was starving, and i didnt want to appear ungracious i ate the cheeseburger, then about 12 mini almond joys, and then some mounds in the evening, with a cup of cocoa....
i also got sick in the middle of the nite, hmmmmmmm that is twice this week, so either i am fighting a stomach bug or i ate some bad combinations or too much? :( either way all i can think about now is some sourdough toasted with butter and nothing else, nothing tastes good today. maybe i have a bug. i usually will eat whatever is given to me, but i tossed a yogurt i had put nuts into, i tossed my mug of coffee down the drain, and i am nursing my fresh squeezed orange/grapefruit juice. I am not right. :(
i guess that is good though maybe i can get some pds off by not eating much~! lol....
(i really dont like feeling ickey though!...esp when i am hosting, and cooking etc.....)
for saturday please give me 115min cardio and U L AND C.

Goats today. They are saving me this week from complete humiliation in exercise. I've been working on my kitchen and the hard part is getting started, so I don't want to quit 'til it's over. I was using exercise as an excuse to not get started. Now I'm using the kitchen as an excuse to not exercise. Oh well.... Maybe next week I'll finish and get on track.

BJD, sounds like a stomach bug...and you have company coming... . Hope you feel better real soon.
Nancy, you may not have gotten much exercise in last week but your chart looks a lot better than mine .
I went to the gym today but boy, even though I feel a lot better I am still not back I guess. I did my wieghts but it was really tough and I only lasted 10 minutes on the cardio, then I had to sit down and cough for another 10 minutes...does coughing count as cardio .

Nothing Monday, but mowed the lawn (well the spring weeds) today. Our grass doesn't wake up until May, but the weeds were getting near a foot high.

Hi guys, just thought I'd stop by and say hello to my exercise buddies even though I have not done a thing except one weak attempt at the gym in over a week. Yesterday I thought I might go but I walked to my mailbox and back and I could barely breath. Admittedly it is a hill but still....I walk it every day so this is silly. Nancy, I think you mentioned it took you a couple of weeks to get back? I sure hope so because I am starting to think this is all in my head and I am just avoiding it? I don't think so but who knows what evil thoughts lurk in my subconscious .
Did I tell you I walked 7 miles on Saturday, my usual walk and then was so tired I took a 2 hour nap? Unbelievable, how sad is that .
Well, hopefully I will have something to report soon.

hi team! i am keeping busy but watching my scale climb anyway, and its sad. i am sooo stressed over this situation with mj, i am really lockin in on her this week, taking things she loves away when she talks back, sassing me, not listening esp, and not taking her naps or stayin in bed thru the nite....and its killin me emotionally and mentally, and D just sais to me its gonna get worse before it gets better...yeah, well this is terrible. I took all her stuffed animals away, the music she sleeps with since birth is gone, its horrible. i hate it. im not sleeping, i havent a second to think for me, and i have company too. thanks to sis though, she is tough, and she helped me with a time out that should have been 4 minutes that turned into almost 3 hours. then she went right back 10 min later for sassing me and talkin back. its been a hard week and its only wed!
i have been active at least and we still havent had a baby horse show up although that belly has changed in the last few days yet again, now its dropped to a point almost at the bottom like a wide spinny top looks and her teats are like a rock....so its any day i imagine.
sunday i scooped the poo, walked a mile doing that for 25 min, then we pulled out our golf bags, and headed to our biggest field for some practice. I didnt do well but i was better than D! lol...something for me to brag about! lol....we did that for an hour, then i pulled out the frisbee discs and we made up 9 holes around the property for another hour. After that I trimmed around the dog house all the green weeds for the horses, and we moved the dog house. Please give me 140min cardio and U L AND C for Sunday.
monday we took her dog Jack, then Wyatt and D'artagnon and MJ and L her son for a walk, it was about 3 miles i guess, my walk meter wasnt hitting all my steps due to my pants waistband i think....it was almost 2 hours, since we had to stop and start a lot, the kid etc...but we went at a decent pace, then i managed to get 10min of golf ball smacking after another bout with mj, before she got up from her supposed nap, walked the fields to pick up my balls, this time i was much more accurate and farther in my shots, i hit 6 out of my property :) For Monday can i have 150min cardio with U L AND C.
tuesday i worked in the backyard, i trimmed the back yard of weeds around the area where mj plays, then i raked it up, and cleared around the flowers, then watered all of that, this was an hour. Then i burned an old wicker outdoor couch that the dogs chewed up, and proceeded to gather and burn more tumbleweeds for another hour. Walked 2.41 miles during this whole time. I also scooped the poo for 25min, fixed up the horse feeder bowls on the fence, watered the west yard area, washed two loads of clothes, and made and cleaned up dinner.....but i did that every nite they have been here so far, so that is no big deal, gets me out of being social! lol...for tuesday can i please have 150min cardio and U L AND C.
wednesday we went to walmart in the early morning, then we came back and went for a 3.5 mile walk with me, my sis in law and mj and wyatt the puppy. I tell you he is better than MJ! It is making me crazy how she is resisting me so much, i truly dont understand. i may go scoop the poo later, or walk in the orchard with her later, but my legs are soooo stiff and sore, but i dont know why!!! so for today can i have 90min cardio, no strength yet....lol
i am averaging between 4 and 7 miles a day on my pedometer, even just with my daily things....i love this thing! :) its addicting!!
miss you guys!!

Today (Wed.) I did a lot of things at my mothers besides goats, maybe only 10 mins though that would count as cardio. We have one goat with a terrible rash on his stomach. Oh joy! Maybe he laid on a fire ant hill? Who knows, so I tried to "doctor" that with him kicking and jumping the whole time.
Anyway most was short spurts but I kept active for a couple of hours. So tonight I took a 50 minute fast walk, long strides, think I can justify at least an L for today.
Wednesday: Strength: L Cardio: 60 mins
Walked on Thursday. High temp of 85 today. Already too hot for me.
Thursday: Cardio: 60 mins
Hey Hiker, I like your picture. Are you still feeling weak from the chest cold? Those are the worst kind.
Today I scrubbed the mildew off the side of my mother's house, dug dirt for tomato plants and carried hay bales to goats. Things are greening up here, hay toting is almost over for this season.
Sunday: Cardio: 90 mins

Hey guys, well finally I'm back.
Nancy, you warned me that chest cold was a 2 week thing and boy were you right. I was only actually sick for maybe 4 or 5 days but then then for another week I was so tired it was ridiculous. Anyway glad that's done.
This weekend I ate way too much bad food but I have to say one of the things I had was a Honey BBQ chicken super-melt from Friendly's....it cost me over 1000 calories for that one sandwich but boy was it good. Of course it had lots of butter for the grilled bread, breaded deep fried chicken, and cheese...and of course BBQ sauce. Sounds like a heart attack on a plate doesn't it? . It was really good though. The stupid part...I ate the fries that came with it...and I don't really even like french fries . I think that is what happens when you fall off the wagon...you go off the reservation entirely . Oh well, no biggy I will get back on track today. I started with the gym and actually did my work out this time .
Monday--U, C and L, 20 minutes cardio (stair master).

its good to hear you are on the upside of the cold now hiker, glad you are getting better! :) i got sick again last nite, its the weirdest thing, if not for D having his tubes tied, i would think i may be pregnant! lol...i wouldnt be upset about that, but i doubt its possible! I am just struggling with too much strain lately, eating ungood things and not sleeping well, plus the vitamins i take sometimes make me funny tummy too.... today i am better thankfully as its no fun to have upset stomach. As for this past week, i topped out at 158 again, but today am back to 156...so its goin back down...lol
thursday: 1.3mile brisk walk using 4lb weights 20min, pilates 17min. i also watered the inside plants, dusted, washed the towels and swept the garage out from the debris the wind brings in. walked 4.50miles for the day total. Can i please have 47min cardio and U L AND C for Thursday.
friday: scooped the poo for 40min in the dust! i attempted to do a workout but it just got interrupted too much and i got frustrated and gave up!....ugh....3.66 miles for the day. 40min cardio and U L AND C please for Friday.
saturday: mowed the side, back and around the large garage for 90min, raked the orchard for 40min, watered the entire area i mowed, as well as walk watered the entire front yard area. Total time outside from 1130am-430pm. 7miles walked today. Can i please have 240min cardio and U L AND C for Saturday.
sunday: rest day. my folks came down in the afternoon believe it or not, i had nothing to do with it, and didnt think they would follow through. overall the day went well...but they practically begged for her to come home with them. i said no. can you believe it? by the time they left, they had a better understanding of my concerns, at least i think they did.
monday: washed 3 loads of laundry, ran errand, then took Wyatt and MJ for a 30min hike at the mesa where you can go offroading, nice ups and downs and soft desert sand, she fell and laughed so it wasnt bad...the sand doesnt hurt like rocks. Wyaytt is pooped. It was only a mile but we got some great cardio! and i had to help her up each hill so i was pulling along 36pds too. :) Its terribly windy now, the trees are sideways so i wont be scooping the poo. Calypso hasnt had her baby yet, but she is getting more defined and mom felt a movement yesterday, so i imagine in the next month? if not sooner! :) For today, can i please have 30min cardio and U L AND C.

Boy and I sore today, I was sore before I took a class and now it's worse...duh . A little 2 week break really sets you back I think. I started back yesterday with the same weights I was doing 2 weeks ago but I really felt it when I got up. I probably should have skipped the class but I really want to get back into things. Oh well, I am pretty sure I will survive .
Tuesday, U, C, L and 45 minutes cardio.

Mowed the back lawn this afternoon (about 1/4 ac). I didn't think this would be a big deal but it's a borrowed lawnmower whose handles are only about 2 feet off the ground, so you have to stoop the whole time and I had it set at the lowest possible cutting height (ditch-digging mode) so it kept choking down in tall spring weeds.
It took 90 minutes for what is normally a 45 minute job. The most workout I've got in 90 minutes since we started this, including the gym. Definitely U,L,C and Cardio.

Funny thing, that mower used to be mine and I gave it away because (a) the handle bar was too low, (b) it was always choking down, and (c) too hard to start.
Glad you're back on track Hiker. We missed you. Need your inspiration.
Tonight I took a 45 min fast walk. Ate one little piece of hard candy (25 cals) on an empty stomach before I left and 30 minutes into the walk got the blood sugar shakes. Haven't had that happen in about a year. When will I ever learn?
Hey guys, do you realize on April 13th we will have been doing this for one year!! I would probably be a couch potato otherwise, well except for the goats. Fantastic job gals!
I can now edit posts more than 4 days old and I'm thinking of changing the first post of this thread with an updated simple description. Who knows, maybe we can get someone to join us.
Wonder how Lami is doing (or did) on her speech? Has anyone heard from her? I'd be a nervous wreck if I had to give a talk in front of a group of women about women.

Nancy, I have been waiting until the 12th to mention our success but yes I had noticed and I think it is great we have done this for a year.
I agree it would be great to get some new comers. What about if you changed the title (I know Nir can do that) to something like just "Exercise Challenge" and maybe in the subtitle something about joining anytime or newcomers alway welcome, whatever? Anyway, just a suggestion. It's your site and it has been great.
I was reading back just last night and I saw where last April I mentioned I was doing 3 pound weights and I was sore LOL. Seeing the progress has inspired me. I also thought I would like to post my current routine just so I would have something to check back agains. Actually I did so in my diary but this would be a great spot if you don't mind? You can check my diary entry from yesterday and if it's okay with you I will carry it over here, just let me know.
Thanks so much for starting this thread, I know I would not have been anywhere near as faithful without it.

Nancy, I love your new "welcome" it really is inclusive. Hopefully it gets some new recruits.
I did my early morning gym thing so for Friday--U, C, L and 30 minutes cardio. That step aerobics class really kicks my butt every time. Hope it kicks it into a better shape .
I hope no one minds but I am going to post what my work out routine is. I want to be able to look back and see where I was a certain time. I posted this in my diary but since I spend more time on this thread it seemed this was a good place to post it.
Currently I have 2 weight weight work outs I alternate.
Plan A--- Squats-12 lb weights , push ups from the bench, seated row w/ 50 pounds, step up (24" step?) with 8 lb wts, prone jack knife on ball, pull overs 8 lb wts, horizontal wood chop w/ 15 lbs wts. 2 sets of 15 reps each.
Plan B--Deadlift--15 lb wts, shoulder press 8 lbs wts, lat pull down 40 lb wts, forward lunge 8 lb wts, ball crunches 20, pec fly 10 lb wts and reverse wood chop w/ 10 lbs wt.
This is my basic weekly schedule
Monday, Wednesday and Friday--Weight routine with cardio---Monday 20 minutes stairstepper at level 6, Wednesday-- high impact aerobics, Friday--step aerobics.
Tuesday--Interval training--1 hour
Thursday--rest day
Saturday--7-10 mile walk
Sunday--1-1.5 hour woods walk with the dogs.
Of course that doesn't always happen but that is what I aim for and most weeks it gets done.

hey team! :) i havent seen the entry for the kick off of one year (congrats us!!) and the change up for the name... :) it sure has been longer than 6 weeks huh? did we pass the recommendations by the doctors then? :) yay for us!!! :)
As for me, I didnt do much this week .....but put food into my mouth. Coming down from last week, feeling the strains with MJ, having her dentist appt Wednesday, then my dentist yesterday, requiring D to take the day off since I am not letting MJ go with my folks. We are having tough times with Wyatt, he is either brain dead or impaired. He shoudl have learned by now to pee outside and poo too, but the door is open, he will come in from out there and pee in here in front of us!.....i have conceded that D may either take him to the shelter or to get him adopted out by someone at his work. We rescue, raise and find them homes, and i think i am ready to find a new home for him. I cant take the pressure i feel in my head to make him perfect. I have other things like the new horse coming, my kid being a crazy independent "little mini me" that i need to pay attention too and of course the hubby who feels i spend all my time with dogs, horses and kid.....LOL...WELL I DO!
anyway, here is the list of all the things i did.....which isnt much! lol...
tuesday rest day, nothing but eat eat eat.....made my mouth hurt worse but i ate and ate and ate some more...
wednesday busy around here but nothing as a workout. mj dentist in a.m. and i had to be on guard rest of day due to the "medication they give to work on her mouth" makes her loopy, tired, spacy etc...and stubborn to be all heck.
thursday i finally got outside to scoop the poo for 40min, two barrows full of poo. Then, my dentist then i was off to get the majority of grocery shopping done, which walked off another 2.5miles for parking far away, etc....my total walk for day was 6.25 miles. I made a point to park far away, and to walk fast in store and to/from car. Can i have 100min cardio and U L AND C please?
today i have to run out again, and then make a decision about the puppy. Its Friday and I would love nothing more than to rest because its been a brain straining week, emotionally involving with dentists etc but i need to get a workout in. I may mow the amazon or do my walks, but i will advise later.
I better get out of my funk soon.... ick is how i feel!

Hi guys, hope the weekend is going well for everyone. I had a really nice walk this morning, we did a little over 10 miles so for Saturday 180 minutes cardio.
I'm not sure walking is really cardio but what the heck...I'll take it . I don't think we will be taking the dogs for a long walk tomorrow because we have to go to Trader Joe's which is about 1/2 hour away so it kind of eats up the morning and Sunday afternoon is our only real "down" time and I like to keep it so no walk for the pups. Two of them went with me today so two of them did 10 miles, the other will just have to survive without any long walk this week . Oh well she got stung by a bee this week so maybe she can use the rest....nah, I'm just rationalizing my lazy behavior.

today was a good workout day for me, outside with the sunshine. i scooped the poo for 20min, then i mowed the front yard for 40min, then the amazon out back for another 30 min, the mower kept stalling cuz the grass was so wet and tall, at least a foot high! and thick!! i dumped three bags of green grass for the horses, they are happy! :) i then watered all the areas too. i am pleasantly sunburned! :)
please can i have 120min of cardio and U L AND C for saturday :)
