Hi Peter, it seems as though I posted exactly a minute before you, yet looking at the time stamp I'm pretty certain I was sharing a sauna with a couple of my gym buddies after coming back from a run around a lake, and posting would have been next to impossible . You wouldn't know anything about that now, would you?

I'm down to 181.4
I've decided to run in my very first race. On May 23rd, I'm doing a 5K and I've really been training. I think it's actually possible that I will be running the entire way, so I'm really psyched!

That's awesome! I just ran my first ever race (5K) last fall and it was one of the happiest days of my life. Only problem is...it is addicting!! Good luck that is going to be a very very positive accomplishment.

Well, it looks like I am going to end this one in the pink...not a great accomplishment but I feel a lot more in control than I did a few weeks ago so for that I am grateful. I really think it might have been a lot worse if I didn't have this challenge, the accountablity really helped me focus and regain control before my spiral got too bad.
My final weight is 133.9, down 2.4 from last week. (but still up from my start )

hello all!
after a busy weekend of yard work and landscaping i am down a pd to 168. I dont think that I will make my goal for this challenge...i will get as close as i can though!
I think for the next challenge i will not impose on myself to try to lose 10 pds...i need to take smaller steps to avoid disappointment at the end if i havent made my goal.....
If i had set this challenge for 167 or so I would have made it with flying colors! I am not giving up by no means, i just know that i cant safely lose 4 pds in the next three days...But I am ok with that! I am happy to have lost 6pds and I will work hard till the end of the challenge and see what I hit!!! :)

Oops! Well, maybe I can get back down a bit before the challenge ends. But if I don't, I'm sure I won't go higher.
In that case, the bad news is that I didn't come close to my goal. But the good news is that if I could continue to lose even just a pound a month (my results for this challenge) I would be very happy! (So long as I maintain it.)
Peter
P.S.
Congrats to . You'll remember that at one time in the challenge we were running neck-to-neck! Good job!

Hi all!
Shortly into this challenge I slipped on the ice and twisted my ankle and threw out my back. Sadly, I sat on the couch and moped and ate until I was actually slightly above my starting weight. I was too embarrassed to post about my failure so I abandoned the challenge.
But I just couldn't stop thinking about this group and how hard everyone is working. Even those who haven't seen big losses have been so determined and stuck with it. They posted even when the scale moved in the wrong direction. So I started back up again once things stopped aching so I could end on a positive note. I didn't meet my goal of 180 lbs, but I did lose some weight.
Starting weight: 188.2
Ending weight: 184.8

1) Today is my birthday. I'm 36 today!
2)
At the beginning of the challenge I had a rule, which involved reporting my weight as the highest one I saw over the last 7 days. This week saw me twice at 56.0 kilos (123.3lb) and once 56.5 kilos (124.5lb - my starting weight for the challenge). However I recognise these are fluctations. To capture this I've decided to announce my final weight as 123lb.

3)
A new challenge starts tomorrow - with a bonus of an extra 4 days.

Cport. I'm right there with you in the pink. The way I am looking at it is that although we didn't loose we also didn't give up so we are so much better off than if we didn't push ourselves to stay with it. Next challenge... I will meet you in the red....assuming red it the top.

You know I wasn't going to join the next challenge, but now I think I should. otherwise I might go off the deep end and gain more weight.
Besides, I am having such a good day today, maybe I will be a few pounds thinner tomorrow....

Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes.
I've updated the table but those who haven't updated yet don't worry, I'll obviously be doing more updates as latecomers check in.

So sorry to be posting so late! I seem to be a member of the CRS club (Can't Remember Stuff!!)
I was thrilled, last Monday I was at 146.5. I must have been dehydrated? By the time today rolled around that was not the case.
Anyhow, I stayed at:
148
Not my goal weight but a 1/2 pound less than when I started this challenge.
Skinnieme
Oh! And Happy Birthday to you Nir! I hope all of your 36th birthday wishes were fulfilled!!
