ok, this was scary, but i am happy i did it.  not as bad as i thought it would be, but wtill a number that i don't ever want to see.

current weight: 125

goal weight:  120

i think that's a decent goal, though i could be wrong having something ike that while doing weights.  i am taking into consideration that i probably won't be building a hwile lot of lean body mass, but mainly increasing strength, and with the cardio/HIIT stuff thown in, along with hopefully walking more, i think iwill still be able to drop a bit of lbs along the way.  if i notice that my clothes are getting loose and that i am getting slimmer, but the scale isn't moving, i may drop out of the challange.  right now i am really just looking for motivation and have to have some sort of goal to hold on to.

thanks!

Starting weight: 120lbs

Current weight: 116lbs

Goal weight: 115lbs

Deduction: -4lbs!

Wow! Something seems to a little off here... Could I really have lost 4lbs so quickly?! I think when I did my original weigh in, I had clothes on and I didn't do it first thing in the morning... So that could've affected my data. Oh well!

I also lost a total of 1.25 inches!

Yay for Turbo Jam! (I had just started using it on April.30!)

I think that sometimes too, with all the people I know from my online communities!  I hope noone ever recognizes me when I am taking the kids to school!!!!! Scary there!!!

How was Avant Garden?  have always wanted to go, never get there....i usually only end up at the co-op when i go down into town.....hmmm....food....darn it......must stop....

Hello

Friday is my weigh-in day and I am already LATE!!! Ack!! My weight is at 122.  But I feel good - did some extra cardio this week - watched what I ate so hopefully I'll break the plateau next week.

Ok, I am taking todays weigh in for this week, since it is mother's day and I will be pigging out soon. So, I am sure the scale tomorrow will not be so kind to me.

Anyway, todays weigh in was 125lbs !

So, I am still the same. It has went up and down all this week. Once I was at 127, and once at 124. So, this is a good average for me right now.

Happy Mother's Day everyone!

Fresh back from a week in Chicago at AACN's NTI.  I did have extra calories, but watched portions and put in a lot of walking.  So this week's weigh in:

Current weight: 247

Starting weight: 248

Goal weight: 238

Weigh in - 126 lbs

No change, but I was dealing with some stressful situations over the last few days and I went down to 124 lbs due to lack of eating. I've been eating again normally now over the last 2 days and it's back at 126 so I can't complain... I know not eating is a really bad way to lose weight so I'm glad I'm at least staying at 126 again for now.

Hey, this sounds like a really good idea! Count me in! ^_^

Current Weight: 315
Goal Weight: 299
Weigh-In Day: Sundays

This is just a wee bit over 2 pounds a week, but I can do it! I'm not on any kind of crash diet, and I love my exercise time. Also, I haven't been under 300 pounds since high school, so this will really be a critical moment for me.

I'm starting strength training in a couple of weeks or so for weight loss, so I might plateau for a bit. Only time will tell.

Good luck to all of us!!!

Mornin' everyone,

Well, another lb. gone today.  I'm at 204

Peter, I'll be out of town next week and won't have access to a computer or scale so you'll know why when you don't hear from me.

I'll be on vacation.  Please wish me luck.

I weighed in this morning at 126.  I am unable to be happy about a 2 pound loss because in reality I gained 4 pounds and have lost 2.  My parents are visiting from San Diego this week on Wed and leaving next Tues.  I need to really watch what I eat!!  It's going to be hard.

funny- i lived in the anika area almost all of my life and i had no idea that the co-op was there.  i just discovered it about 3 weeks ago.  the food looked really really good and i came so close to picking up some awesome looking brownie, but opted for an apple instead.  that place is really really neat.  Avant is great.  there is a little patio in back with tables nad chairs and trees, the coffe and tea is fab and the food is pretty good, too (though i don't usually eat there- but they do have salads and things)!

official weigh-in is still at 125.

Weekly update
Start weight: 175
Weight:172.3:grin:
Should probably be lower but this weekend I ate out twice and took a couple days off because I have kidney infection. NO excuse to eat out! But it did make it impossible to work out this weekend.:pizza: Oh well still lost the 2lbs I needed and look at my tracker only 33lbs to go untill I make my goal yippie.

Is there a challenge for drinking water?

I decided to be honest and post that I'm up SIX pounds to 177. Well, I wouldn't have lied, but I could have waited a day as I usually average my weight.

I just took a week off eating well (in other words I ate horribly) for the first time since I started eating well a week after New Years.

I suspect very much of this is water weight, and I'll be back to 171 in a week or two and still meet my goal for the challenge.

Hi,

I am a little slow on the draw.  I finally figured out I needed to go the the Weight Loss Forum for the next challenge!  Better late than never.  Count me in, please.  I have not yet met my goal.

I still need to keep myself accountable...if I don't I will gain back what I've lost.

Ouch I've gained 2lbs so my weigh in is 167.5lbs against a target weight of 160lbs.    Still lookig on the positive side of things at least my weight is now quite a bit less than when I started the New Year Challenge.  Still today is the start of another week.

Happy to report a 4 pound loss this week.

Current weight 272!

Onward ~~ Patchers

It took me the entire month of April to lose that much!  Does anyone else lose weight in cycles like this?  I can be on a plateau that seems to last forever and then overnight I will show a 3 or 4 pound loss and then I will be stuck there for a while. Drives me freaking nuts!!!

AHHH!!

I don't think I actually lost 4 pounds.

Later that day, I weighed again and I was back up to 120lbs.

When I had weighed for my starting weight, I didn't do it as soon as I woke up so it was 120lbs. So does that mean if I did weigh myself first thing in the morning before the challenge, I would've been 116lbs?

So if I was 116lbs then, and 116lbs now, it means I haven't lost any weight. :nono:

Cause I was 120lbs before when I weighed in the afternoon, and 120lbs when I weigh in the afternoon!!

Argh.

Hurray! My first weigh in and…I LOST SOMETHING! I was so happy, but slightly suspicious.

I was about 143 in the morning, and so as soon as I got back from school, I tried again and I had about 140 and then after I worked out, ate, waited around a little, used the bathroom, and I went back to 143(ish, I’m using an old scale that is hard to read. Ugh.), which is better than my usual 145-147!

I’m so HAPPY!

So I’m going to say I am 143 and that I lost 2 pounds!

And to everyone that is stuck, I just want to say, KEEP IT UP! Like, during the week I stepped on my scale and saw 150! (Too much salt, I think) It made me so afraid, that I really clung to my new diet plan. I tried really, really hard, and now I have PROOF!

I think all of you are amazing people for taking this into your own hands, and holding yourselves accountable. You really are fighting for something that’s worth it. AND it will pay off.

LOTS of love,

Butterfly:tongue:

Yep.  I usually find that either due to TTOTM or excessive salt I can sit around the same weight for a week or more...then when it drops I lose like 3 or 4 pounds all at once.

Tuesday's weigh-in:  190.4 lbs.

That is :up_arrow: 0.8 lbs.     That's the wrong way to go.........but Mother's Day I did have some ham for lunch and about 6 potato chips for dinner, and other things had higher sodium too.    Usually my rings swing around my fingers, and go on and off easily........this morning I had to really push to get them on, and right now I don't think I could get them off without soap.  So, sure am hoping it's water weight!

I'm down 3 pounds today, from 177 to 174. I expect the other three will come off shortly... still mostly water from my week of poor eating.

I'm just glad it stopped at a week as my old habits would have been months. I'm sure this challenge helped!

Welcome to new member smcat!

Unfortunately tomorrow I'm going to start removing members from the list who haven't posted in two weeks, but it's fun to see that with smcat we got up to 50 challenge members!

Contrats to all of us (me included!) who have stuck it out in the challenge even though we put on some weight. It's so tempting to duck and run (and eat more!).

Things aren't ever going to be prefect, and I think those of us who accept this and stay in the fight will win in the end.

Rock on!
