Hi Peter,

I'm holding my hands out for the slap of the ruler!  Sorry I haven't been posting the way I should.

I guess I've been so close to my goal for so long, BUT WITHOUT GETTING THERE, that it's been discouraging.  However the scale was 1/2 lb. more kind today...........if you want to put me back on the list, but I don't blame you if you don't.  It said 124, which is 2 lbs from goal, but since it's taken me......what? 6 weeks?.......to lose 1.5 lbs, it'll probably take a year to lose the other 2 pounds.

I keep telling myself, "Where there's a will, there's a way."  My personal demon pipes up with, "Will?  Will who?"

I wonder how many calories you burn when you're being shot at? I don't see that under Peter's Calories Burned Calculator.

Well, this week I stayed the same.  I didn't lose any weight.  I am hoping all the hard work of this week will show up next week.  I worked out hard at the gym 5 days this week and weighed, measured and wrote down all my food this week.  I think it is just an adjustment week for me.  I upped my weights at the gym, so maybe it is a little muscle gain.

Challenge start weight - 185
Challenge goal - 167
Today's weight - 171.5

I am almost at my goal and I can make it.

I am working out extra hard and really counting all the calories, because I go on vacation for 17 days starting May 9th.  On vacation, I am cutting myself some slack, so I am not giving myself any slack right now.

Thanks for all the support you guys give me!

The plateau is now official!

I am at 166.8.

Here is my time for rationalization - this was my final week of school, with a project and an exam, so at least I did not gain!

Next challenge means a new plan and a new focus! I am going to shoot for 165 next week, too.:pizza:

Then my Jeep will lose weight.

Besides, it's hard to fix the Jeep when every bolt is covered in mud.

I weighed myself this morning. Down to 222 pounds. I hope it stays that low on Monday.

128 lbs - no change.

I was losing a pound every week for about 3-4 consecutive weeks, this is the first time it's stopped. I kind of suspected it would based on my slip-ups in my diet. As long as the numbers don't go up I won't feel discouraged.

Just weight at 178.5 lbs this morning.  That makes a 1 pound GAIN!

I hope it's just normal weight fluctuation, because this week I saw numbers as low as 176,5!

And, by the way, Peter, it's not me in my avatar. lol.

125.2lb

Undid last weeks indulgences :) It's going to be an absolute marathon to try and get to 123lb by next week [not convinced it's possible]. I know what I've done wrong to not make any real progress this week... I just need to care enough to right my wrongs.

Good luck everyone!! <3

174  I could be lower, but I have been sick and exercise is out for the moment.  Next week I should be a pound lower.  I am really hoping for another challenge to start when this one ends.  This challenge really gives me a goal to work for with accountability.  Thanks for doing this one and a big encouragement for someone else to do another one.

Hi everyone,

I seem to be in the throws of a plateau.  I know the past couple of weeks I was involved with things that held me back but it's been tough this past week.

208 lbs as of this morning.  That's one lb more.  I'm not down about it but I would have liked to see more.  I'll really have to hit the exercise this week.

Have a great one!

Don't worry, I will stay focused.

I beginning to think those last few pounds are never going to come off. I only have seven to go. Doesn't seem like much when I have lost so much in the past.

I am also starting some new exercise this week, so maybe that will help.

Keep in mind too that if you're doing strength training, your muscle weight will affect your overall body weight.  That's ok.  Increased muscle will increase your metabolism and you'll lose the fat.  Seems to me though that at 127 lbs you don't have much.

I wish it was muscle weight, unfortunately I think it's from my poor eating choices over the last few days. That's why I have been on this board all morning. Trying to stay in the diet frame of mind and not slip up.

This board is great, if it wasn't for this board, I would be eating pizza rolls right now, lol. Waiting patiently for my fish to get done.

Hi

I had a two pound gain this week.  Although I am disappointed I know I'm playing with fire when I don't do the food journal or exercise.

Current weight: 151.5

I should be getting back to exercising on a regular basis. The weather is starting to warm up in northeast Ohio.  We did a 22 mile bicycle ride this past Sunday and I'll be walking 3 -5 miles outside.  After next weekend and my family obligations are met, I'll have NO excuses!

I know how you feel. I wish someone would kick me in the butt every time I go into my kitchen, lol.

But, we can't give up....... or at least I am not. Going to walk 4mils tonight and I got my stupid ab lounger off of the porch for this afternoon.

I plan on doing some biking up north this fall. I am going to condition for it all summer. Can't wait, should be fun.

Yea, The weather would help wouldn't it. We had snow this morning. ugh! It's suppose to be nice tomorrow.

Weigh in: 141.4 (up .2 from last week)

I weigh daily and I was down to 138.8 a couple of days ago, before my weight jumped back.  I began my cycle today, so that accounts for the increase.  It occurs every month.  I use Weight Commander software to chart my progress... which I really like.  It calculates my 7 day rolling average so it's easier for me to stay focused on the weght LOSS trend than the day to day fluctuations.

Hopefully my end of challenge weighin won't be skewed!  I'm still counting on making goal!!!

Thanks,  Gin  :apple:

I feel the same way. I was up to 129lbs this morning...... I getting tired of beating myself up about it. I am not going to weigh again until friday and focus on my eating habits and exercise. Maybe, a miracle will happen and I will lose some before Monday.

I know what you mean.  I only lost 1 lb over the last 3 weeks.  It happens.  We exercise, watch what we eat, etc. and we hit a plateau or gain a bit.

Don't beat yourself up about it.  I tend to be pragmatic about these things.  First, we're talking about a lifestyle change so if we go up or don't lose on any given week, what's that compared to the rest of our lives?  We want to have a healthy lifestyle and the weight reduction will follow.  Second, put it in perspective.  At least you're not 130 lb sor 150 lbs.  You may not be 118 lbs but it could be a lot worse.  If you're watching the calories and exercising, you should eventually get through this period.

Hang in there, Monkey!!!  You can do this and don't be so hard on yourself.

OK, let me make a few suggestions.

I love Cinnabon and anything with those ingredients.  Get yourself some Quaker Oats Old Fashioned Oatmeal.  Cook according to the directions.  When it's ready, put it in a bowl and add an artificial sweetener (I like Splenda), cinnamon, sugar free apple sauce and raisins.  It's like eating a bowl of hot apple pie.  I also add some skim milk.

McDonalds is a killer.  Try getting some ground turkey, make a thin patty and fry it up in a little olive oil, salt and pepper.  Chop some onion, shred some lettuce (or buy it that way) make a sauce of light mayo, a little dill relish and a touch of ketchup.  If you want cheese get a low fat cheese.  Get Weight Watchers English Muffins for the bun.  Toast it.   It's not a Big Mac but it can really help.

Let me know what you think.
