Hi everyone.  I have been mute for a while.  Not sure why, just terribly busy.  I am on day 19!!  Only two more to go and I have to admit that it does feel like stretching has become a habit again.  I find myself standing in the shower saying, "Shoot, I forgot to stretch."  Instead of blowing it off, I will stretch as soon as I get out of the shower.  Before this challenge I would have just told myself I 'd do it tomorrow.  As we all know, tomorrow seldom arrives!!!

Good work everyone!

I am so thrilled that man of you made it through or are close to making the 21 days.  so do you think you have formed the habit you wanted?  is anyone going to stick it out for the long haul?  is anyone going to reward themselves for making it 21 days?

i really hope this challenge helped you guys.  i didn't think it would take off in the way that it did.

so, who completely made it?  is anyone going to give it another go?

again, i am so proud of those of you who stuck it out.  i am also very happy that so many made a conscious effort to make or break a habit.  even if it didn't workout the full 21 days, i really believe that assessing those habit, both good and bad, and at least attempting to do something about it takes a lot of effort.  i know i learned stuff along the way- how i work and what does and does not work for me.  know i know what realistic expectations are for myself, so i can't get too down knowing that something just arn't going to be a reality for me.

anyway, thanks again to all who participated.  if anyone is interested in taking over the challenge to keep it going, let me know.  otherwise, for now, i have lots of things going on between work and up and coming schooling and moving.  i would love to see the challenge live on though.

thanks again everyone and keep up those habits!!!!

Thanks for a great challenge, zenobia. I know it's officially over, but I expect a few of us will stay around and post some more.

I don't think it's a habit for me quite yet because sometimes when I go to take my shower I see the Post-it Note reminder I put on the door and realize I forgot. But one way or another, I'm getting my leg raises done!

Hi all,  I haven't posted in a long time, but I really think I may have created a habit.  Today will be Day 25 of getting to bed before 1:30.......sometimes considerably before.  Right now it is almost 11:00, and I am truly tired, so much so that staying up to read, watch TV, or fiddle with the computer seems pretty unimportant.

I don't know if going to bed earlier has become a good habit........or I've just gotten 25 days older.  Hmmmm    Well, whichever........night all.

Thanks, Zen.  I think we all appreciate the effort you put into this challenge.

Baby steps!

As small as they are, you develop confidence as you go and healthy habits that will last.

P.S.

Seriously... I really mean it... my next 21 day challenge was going to be able to get into the habit of stretching. But I've solved it by combining it with time to play with my puppy!

Hi Everyone!

I do the "21-Day Re-Program" technique all the time. Mostly for re-programming my mind for success. It works very well. I can literally feel my mind and "being" changing.

Fitness-wise, I used it recently for my 120 Dips routine.

Everytime I feel I've reached a plateau, I do the 21-day re-program, and by the time I've finished, a new level has presented itself and I'm off on that journey.

If you want to become a new and different you, always use this 21-day method. I recommend it.

Good luck, all!

I know this is an old thread but I'm curious if those who took part in this challenge continued their "habits" beyond the 21 days?  Did it help you form a good habit?  Was it easy to continue after the 21 days?

It depends how you use it.

If you just use it to negate or dissolve a bad habit, it won't be quite as powerful. If you use it to negate a bad habit plus add a new habit it it's place, it will be much more effective.

Getting rid of a bad habit leaves a void, so to speak. You'd best fill it with something good.

Good luck.
