Happy New Year,
I lost 18 pounds in the September and October and was determined not to let the holiday season set me back. It has!!!!, but THAT"S OK!!!
Iwill be returning to my healthy eating lifestyle again.
I lost the weight by keeping it simple. I am not much on following recipes and being too detailed . I used to be obsessed about cpinting calories and I'm really proud to say that THIS TIME, I did not count calories.
I simply ate oatmeal and a fruit for breakfast, 1/2 sandwich, yogurt 100 cal., and a fruit or carrots for lunch, reasonable snack 100-200 cal (in the afternoon), and a regular dinner. (small protein source, small starch, plenty of light veggies, and a glass of skim milk)
I even allowed myself a teeny cup of Special K cereal before bed if I was too hungry to sleep.
It worked and I'm getting back on that healthy role.
How about you??

You must be tiny. I haven't been that weight since childhood. I'm 5'8" .THIS time i started at 179 and got to 161. Realistically my goal should be 150. I am fitting in many of my size 8's which is great.Thank goodness for stretch denim. Love it. Oops, I'm sure I've put back about 5 lbs. but that's ok.The last time I got down i bought lots of that size so I'm getting back there and STAYING FOR MY HEALTH AND HAPPINESS>
Motivation tips: Hmmmm....let's see. I'm talking to myself too. Let the rest of the family finish the last of the goodies and get back to my old routine. I really think keeping it simple works best for me. I really don't mind repetition. Think of food as just fuel. Something to keep the machine going.
I like low cal weird combos to mix it up. Example: to change my morning oatmeal:oatmeal,a little cinnamon/apple sauce/a big squirt of nonfat or low fat whip cream OR oatmeal/diced bananas/sugarfree chocolate syrup. You get the idea.
Anyway good luck.

I probably still weigh a bit more for my hight because im only 5, 2 and a half or 5, 3, but i'm really trying to motivate myself, eating healthy and all. Eating sweets comes from my genes, my whole dad's family eats sweets all the time, as well as my own dad. I'm really crazy about sweets. but i really like the thought about thinking of food as only fuel, and not only when ur trying to loose weight but u have too make this a part of your lifestyle. i also find food very comforting, whenever i'm bored, its something i really look forward too, but i know it's gotta change. i've been working on it for a while, and thts what made me lose the weight i did.
thanks for the briliant idea!!!
