alright, well the darn thing reset on me again... this time, when i last checked i was at about 17000.  when i later checked (after the reset) i was at 2100.  this time i wore it durning my TJ and at work, but not before, nor after.  so i think i can safely say i'm at about 20000 steps for the day!!

soon2beme- sorry to hear about your foot.  look at it this way, if you are on crutches, it's probably a good way to wrok your arms!

Thank you all...................darn Peter's carry 20lbs of sugar challenge......just joking, just clumsy on the stairs, missed the bottom step.  Hopefully I can join on the next challenge, I might not be able to keep up with all of you, but, it will push me.  I will watch you guys and cheer you on..........by the way you are all doing great.


And yes, the arms will get a workout, especially at work, even though it is a desk job, quite a distance to lunch room and bathroom..........yikes....copier is just as far away.

    We all should have 80,000 steps and 40 miles!! So...we all have to step it up and make up some of our steps that we have missed!!! I know Soontobeme will not be able to finish this challenge and I really hope she will join us in our challenge next month!!!
    As for CG, Zen and myself...we need to step it up in the next week!! Come on girls....WE CAN DO THIS!!!!! Zen you did great yesterday!!! If you keep bringing in those numbers you will for sure make up your steps really soon!!! CG I didn't get a number for you yesterday! Let me know if you had any and I will add them to your total!!! I also need to make up about 8,000 steps! While the weather is warm for the next few days here I think I will try harder to get in at least 12,000 to make up for the steps I'm missing!! We all did great for our first week!!! Push yourself harder this week!! If you have to jog in place each morning and evening!! It will help!! MUAH!!!!!! :wink:

No, I had a really, really horrible sinus headache yesterday...I didn't thinking walking would be a good thing.

Truly, though, I did walk around some at school and all that...but since I still don't have a pedometer they don't count. I need to see if I can find a cheap one at walmart that would at least be semi accurate.

I'm hoping to walk on my treddy after church for around an hour tonight, will let you know.

That is me cheering for you girls..............motivate, think of how great you will look.  Went to doc yesterday, he said that I could walk a little on my foot this weekend, but to take it easy.........no long walks probably till the week after next.  So no crutches now, but, hobbling around the house some.

 

I will join you in February.

Thanks soon2B!!! We miss ya!!! I'm not doing all that good this week! I just am not in the mood to go out and walk! I know I really need to and I should but I feel blah!! Maybe I can get outside tomorrow and jog a little and get some steps in? I'll try!!

My pedometer says it takes 3,000 steps to make a mile...but I guess technically the challenge is 10,000 steps, not five miles, so it works.

BTW: If you want to join, try to take at least 10,000 daily! Next month I think I will raise the bar for Feb...I'm going to do 12,000 pro!!! If you join in now you'll be to 12,000 in NO TIME!!!

TO ALL THE GIRLS : I will be going on a work interview tomorrow and hopefully I'll get the job! If so, I'll be able to get a lot more steps in b/c I'll be on my feet ALL day instead of being home and making myself do it! lol WISH ME LUCK!!!!! :rose:

Thanks!! It is very hard without money coming in!!  My checking account is getting pretty low!! lol I also (since the last post) had another office call  me wanting an interview!! I told them Tues!! YAY!!! Maybe between the two I will get one!! MUAH!!

ok, i have been forgetting and forgetting and forgetting again to wear my pedomiter.  and i know i had some really high days at wrok.  i also know i had some very low days when i wasn't at work....  gah!  i have to remember to wear that thing!!!

hey- i want to know all about your interview, too!  i hope you got a job!  and being on your feet all day is soooo tiring, but you get used to it.  then you don't really want to sit down much...  funny too, the things you start to worry about- vericose veins... ugh.  and i never remember to wear these socks that are supposed to help with circulation...  if you get the walking job, i would suggest getting a par of theses stockings beofre you even start.  i don't know about you, but i am super critical about my legs and want them to stay relatively nice!

I'm sorry I've been away!! I had a working interview on Monday and Tues. morning (I left at lunch for the day) and that was at one office (total of 13 hrs) and then Tues afternoon I had a interview with another office and they wanted me to do a working interview also, so that's what I did today and I'm also going back tomorrow!! I like both offices, they are both the same distance from my house (one being in a little better area of town) and so now I'm waiting to hear from the first office tomorrow (well, I'll have to call them since I'll be working at the other office!) and I have to see how much they want to pay and then I'll decide which I want to stay at. It's kinda hard...each has it's good things and kinda bad things...my boyfriend is helping me pick one!lol Thanks for asking BTW!!! That's sweet!

As for my steps, I have been about 10,000 each day this week. I thought I would do more than that while working but it's not! It feels good to be back to work though and if neither job works out at least I get paid for the working interviews!! Well, wish me luck and I'll let you know what happens as soon as I know something! MUAH!!!!!

I forgot to track friday and saturday and today...yikes! But, I haven't been walking much at all cause I am so sick. I feel horrible. I got an antibiotic yesterday, and some nasal spray. And cough medicine. Yeah, ick.
