Hello

No change for me, still at 142.  Which is actually quite good considering the fact that I'm on holiday visiting all my relatives.

Now I wonder if there's a March challenge?

No loss this week, and I don't know why.

Oh well, I will weigh on Friday since it's the last day of the month. I doubt I'll lose 3lbs in less than a week to make it to my short term goal, but I've still lost 12lbs during this challange so I feel good about myself (and my goal may have been a bit much anyway).

Starting weight: 200

Starting weight (for challange): 157

Current weight: 144

Sorry I didn't get my weight posted on Monday.  It was back to 126.  Glad to see we're having a couple of extra days.  That will be a help, and I'll be sure to get my Monday (3/3) figure in on time.

It's really wonderful to see so many yellow lines.  (That's a nice touch, Peter.)  Everybody who got one should be really proud........and a lot of us (like me) haven't quite made it to yellow, but we tried and made progress!

205.  This is getting frustrating.  I'm going to really dedicate myself to lose 2 or 3 more this week.

Hey Peter,

Here in the midwest that would definitely be a low sodium diet.

Way too much road sodium on my car.

Hello 289!

That is 18 lbs lost during the challenge so far.  I thought I read we were running the challenge until Monday (the regular weigh in day) is that info correct?

I will have to show this post to my ex-wife and good friend.

When we were talking a few years after our separation, I told her that one of the first things I did was to buy a new scale, and that it was electronic. We laughed as she remember hearing me -- many times a day -- as I would step on and off the scale, taking an average reading.

The last digital scale I had would always read 1/2 pound lighter if I stepped on it a second time. My current one is consistent. But I do always put it on a hard surface, in the same place!

Stats Updated to This Point

As always, you can see the stats in the first post of this challenge. But I thought I might as well post them here, too!

Thanks so much to DeterminedGal for all her work in this challenge. It's helped me keep going... my third challenge in a row. At least part of my success has been the realistic goals I've set.

Congrats to all who have lost even a pound. And congrats to all those who have gained for sticking out the challenge. Odds are, you've gained less than you would have if you hadn't stuck it out!

Peter:monkey:

P.S.

I see a few of you posted your final weight for the challenge today, the last day of the month. Sorry about the confusion on this point, but the challenge has been extended and if you like you can post a final weight once more, Monday March 3.

If anyone else posts today, the 29th, it will show in the final stats update next week.

Note that Monday March 3 is also the first day of the Spring Fling Weight Loss Challenge, so be sure to post your starting and goal weight in the new challenge!

I've been battling with food and weight for over 40 years, and as far as being consistent goes, this is one of the best runs I've ever had. I've lost more quickly, but never felt so consistent and determined to continue. I think these challenges are really helping me.

I've given a lot of thought to my goal for the upcoming Spring Fling nine-week challenge. I'm excited to lose a lot more weight, but a pound a week is just too much. I'm trying to put on muscle as I lose fat, and it's just about impossible to do both at the same time. So at least I want to lose as little muscle as possible.

My goal for the nine weeks will be a five pound loss, and I will have to work just as hard to see that I don't lose more than five pounds as I will to lose the five pounds. I think I lost a little too quickly in this challenge. It's long-term that matters!

My results for the New Year, New YOU! Challenge:

My goal for the Spring Fling Weight Loss Challenge:

I know where I messed up.

So the next challenge I will try harder.

I gained 2 lbs. I am at 221

But I did loose 3 lbs.

So the next challange I am going to make my goal

6 lbs. just double what I realy lost and try to

focus more and wish this snow good bye so I can

get out and walk more than what I am doing now.

Hello

Final Weigh-In for the New Year Challenge - 123 pounds.  I did not reach my goal weight but that's okay - I am happy to have had this experience - it's kept me motivated and I'm glad the Spring Fling Challenge is available to keep me going.

I will add my ticker once I copy it.

I'm in for the Spring Fling, and I'll follow Peter's lead with a more realistic target!

Thanks for all of your work on this challenge.

I'm weighing in at 156 this morning. I lost far more on this challenge than I thought possible. I'm more than half way to my long term goal. Now to keep it off!
